The hike in to Dry Creek Falls is one of my favorite short hikes in the Gorge. One of these days perhaps I will explore much more of the PCT, but I do like this stretch of it. I have had trouble getting mossy forests out of my system lately, been spending a lot of time in them, with more scheduled. Maybe it is because I have lived my whole life around them, grew up running and playing in them - heck, still growing up running and playing in them. Thank goodness they are so accessible around here.

The stomach acid breaks down the lining, leading to irritation and inflammation, which can be painful. The main symptoms of indigestion are pain or a feeling of discomfort in your upper abdomen. Stomach ulcer occurs when the layer protecting the stomach lining from stomach acid breaks down. Stomach ulcers are usually caused by helicobacter pylori bacteria or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These can break down the stomach's defense against the acid, the stomach lining then becomes damaged causing an ulcer. Occasionally stomach ulcer can become cancerous (gastric cancer). Vomiting blood, or blood in the stool (blood loss) also may be the signs of cancer in the stomach.
