This week the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to make a clean and simple card featuring things you'd see in the sky... This week's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp!... and the winner of this week's challenge will not only be a guest designer with CAS-ual Fridays next month, but will win a $25 gift certificate for a shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp!! So let's see what creative masterpieces you come up with this week:)!! Here's what I made... I was inspired by a Baby shower card I saw by Papyrus...and made all my elements on my baby card things you would see in the sky! I used a cloud template that I found on the internet and used some little dies from a My Favorite Things die set(Notched Tag)...except the moon , which I punched a circle and punched a section off to make a crescent moon. I layered each a couple times and then adhered underneath the cloud and drew dotted lines to connect to cloud. I hand drew the stitched lines on the cloud and used a Hero Arts sentiment. Don't forget to check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what the design team has come up with but don't forget CAS-ual Fridays on Facebook...you will find yours truly there every Monday and another Girl Friday there every day of the challenge for added inspiration!! The sky's the limit...hope you have a cloudless, sunny week:)!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

All of us at Stamper's Dream want to wish our very own Charmaine good luck and congratulations....and to welcome her sweet new baby girl to the world! Big hugs to you, Charmaine! This card is on it's way to you. The envelope was made with my Judi-Kins Mini Envelope Template, and it's up on foam tape. The JustRite Trompe Lowercase Font was stamped in black craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The buttons were threaded with very thin strips of the DP. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but there's a vellum layer under the envelope that's punched with my Martha Stewart Doily Punch. Here's a picture of the inside and the tag that fits inside the envelope. The tag was made with rectangle and scallop rectangle nestabilities. The ribbon tab is glued down in between the white and kraft layers. Check out what the rest of the Dream Team made to celebrate baby Isabelle: Michelle, Amy, Becca, Cammie, Tosh, Kim, Laurie Thanks for stopping by! I can't stop making baby cards! They are just toooo cute! Today's card is simple and elegant and uses the Something for Baby die set. (I have linked you to the die/stamp bundle because you save 15% that way and the stamps are just gorgeous. I used the duck one to pretty up my envelope for this card. I wish I had taken a photo of it now to show you.) The other star of this card is the Natural White Cardstock. This is my first time using it and WOW it's the BEST! It has a kind of warm feel and goes so well with my three DSP colours today which are Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe all from the In Colour 2013-2015 Backgrounds DSP paper stack. Finally, my sentiment is from Papertrey Ink stamped in Baked Brown Sugar. Thanks for stopping by today!

Sometimes you just have to "pull out all the punches." (...all the circle punches) I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, and it called to me! It became the birthday card I gave my
Hello crafty friends! Today I have a sweet little baby boy card to share with you using brand new Pretty Pink Posh products. I used the Baby and the Little One sets. I heat embossed the word “…
I was playing along with a couple of challenges and I ended up with two baby cards. The themes and my baby supplies just worked so well together! This card is for two challenges, first to use a wild animal for and second to use a die to make a stencil for Make It Monday. Of course, this isn’t such a wild looking wild animal is it?? LOL! The hearts in the background were die cut from masking paper and the negative was used as a stencil for sponging the aqua mist and harvest gold inks. I hand cut the same piece of masking paper to sponge in some spring moss for the ground. For this card, I was inspired by the latest Fusion challenge which combines a sketch and a lovely nautical bedroom image. And Inspired by… which has an inspiration photo which you can see below. I followed the sketch pretty closely for once using some cardstock and October Afternoon Seaside papers to piece this little sailboat. I should have removed the fish die from the rest using snips before I die cut the sail but I didn’t so I pieced in the fishy too then dubbed this boat the ‘Fishy Cracker’! I had a PTI baby set out from the previous card’s sentiment then saw this one which was so perfect for this card! Funny when things like that happen! Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was warm and we got a lot done around the house, so I'm ready to get back to stamping! Today I have some baby cards to share. I had to make one for a girl and a boy. I loved the little punched duck that I saw on LeeAnn Greff's blog, so I decided to case it. I too went with a round frame and used the Island Floral Bigz die for the scallops behind the main image. I used the Love Birds Simply Scrappin' kit for the DSP on the baby girl card. The hearts were from the adhesive sheets that came in the kit. For the baby boy card, I used the Nursery Suite DSP. I used the small heart punch and punched hearts out of Bashful Blue & Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I love the way they turned out. Supplies Used: Stamps: Paper: Early Espresso, Whisper White, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Nursery Suite DSP & Love Birds Simply Scrappin' kit Ink: Early Espresso Other: Punches: 1", 1 3/4" & 2 1/2" circles, Two-step bird, Own punch, large & scallop Ovals, Small heart, & Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Island Floral Bigz die, Perfect Polka dots embossing folder & Stampin' Dimensionals Are any of my blogging friends attending the Stampin' Up! Convention this year? This will be my first time going. I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself! Actually, I'm doing pretty good, considering I've been super busy attending lots of demo events, meetings and I even joined joined a group swap. The time is flying by. I can't wait for June 1st when we will get to find out what we can pre-order from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! I'm dying to see the new In-colors! We will also find out what Stampin' Up! items we will have to say farewell to. I hope none of my favorites will be going:( Oh, what an exciting time to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!! Ok, enough of my rambling. LOL! I just can't help it! Thanks so much for coming by. I hope you have a great day and a terrific week:)
Today is WHAT IF? Wednesday - the day you are challenged to create a card with a sketch from Wendy of Repeat Impressions. You can find the sketch and the details here. How about joining us? :) You have two weeks to create your card, upload it, and link it to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built. Have fun! One random participant from the July challenges will win a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions. Check out what the other Design Team members have done, too! Ayana ~ Dana ~ Darsie ~ Harriet ~ Joy Julie ~ Makiko ~ Michele ~ Robin Here is the sketch. For my card, I used the Lupine stamp (which is the Stamp of the Week - scroll down just a little bit) and colored it with Stampin' Up! markers. I cut the image with a Nestability and embossed it. I left it in the die, and used Barely Banana chalk around the edges to nearly the center. The matting for all pieces is Mellow Moss. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is cut with Nestabilities, also. I added pearls in the corner (per the sketch) and beside the sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Voor een kennis gemaakt; ze houdt niet van afbeeldingen, maar wel van stansjes. Bedankt weer voor het bezoek en de leuke reacties. A baby card I've made for an acquaintance. And a few days ago I promised a nice lady, who sent me an e-mail about my sketches, to post some photos, so here they are. These sheets help me to find the right size of the layers I need for my card, so I use them before I cut the patterned papers. When I have the sketch I like, all I have to do is look on the edges (those numbers represent the lenght and the width of the sheets) and now I can cut the patterned papers, because I know for sure which size I need: I cut them a few years ago in no time with my cutting machine, I have more, in many other sizes and I use them all the time, so I don't have to waste the beautiful patterned papers, looking for the right size for the card I make. This is an example: So because I like how this card looks like, all I have to do is look at the numbers on the edges (they are centimetres) and cut the patterned papers in the same sizes. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for stopping by and the nice comments.

The new Birthday Bash Kit from Queen and Company is so much fun!! Laurie Willison here bringing you 2 cards using all the new poms! This card was quick and easy to make. I stenciled in some could, stamped the balloons and the sentiment in black ink and then added in the poms. The stamp helps you place the pom poms perfectly. For this next card, I used the ice cream cone die. I love this die! It die cuts and embosses the little cone lines.... I added 4 strips of patterned paper on the card base and then added in a diagonal piece of white cardstock down next. I added a circle die cut in the middle to hold the ice cream cone. Last, I die cut and heat embossed this little banner for the sentiment. Easy Peasy! Working with this kit is so much fun! I hope you will head over and check it out.
