Today's card is using the sketch from the My Favorite Things "Get Sketchy" Challenge. It's been a while since I have pulled out one of their stamps. This one is my favorite Pure Innocence stamp called "Freckles". These are easy to color and always work well paper pieced. The paper is from My Mind's Eye Quilting Bee 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp die & stamp set "Expressions for You". I am entering this card in the following challenges: My Favorite Things Let's Get Sketchy #167 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Mother's Day or Special Girl Here is the sketch... Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! It's been a very long and exhausting week around here, so I was so excited to decompress a bit and get some stampy time in! Here is a card I created for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC150. I am loving her new format of a new sketch every two weeks! In my quest to continue creating Birthday cards, I pulled out the darling Pure Innocence Fairy Girl from My Favorite Things and colored her with Copic Markers. Her dress was paper pieced with the same papers I've used on the entire card, Ooh La La from My Minds Eye. I added lots of stitching with my Janome Sew Mini, and the border was created with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics. This is one of my favorite borders ever. I also cut a panel with the smallest banner die in the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics and added that behind the circle panel. I am going though a bit of a "bling period" right now, and am especially loving these rhinestone circles that fit just perfectly with so many circles dies I have. I got mine at Michaels...their Recollections brand (I apologize in advance for anyone trying to get these in the Westbury NY store...I think I purchased their entire stash). I picked up some Crushed Glass Glitter at my LSS and I've used it here on her wings. I just LOVE the look of this glitter, though you really do have to be a bit careful working with it...it can be quite sharp! In keeping with my bling obsession, I added some rhinestones between each scallop on the border. I really love the extra pop it gives! For the inside of my card, I added some more patterned paper along with a sentiment from the Pure Innocence Fairy Girl set, "Have A Magical Day". I added more stitching and some more rhinestones for good measure. Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card: Thanks SO much for stopping by! Recipe: Stamps: Pure Innocence Fairy Girl from My Favorite Things Paper: Sno Cone (MFT), Choice Buttercream (TE) and Ooh La La (My Minds Eye) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Copic Markers, Bling and Bling Circle, Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics, First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, Janome Sew Mini and Jody Boosters Jodi

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! It's the first Saturday of the month, and that means a new SFYTT! Yay! Here is a gander at this month's sketch: The SFYTT is very generously sponsored by Skipping Stones Designs this month! My card is for my sweet little girl, Meredith, who turns 6 today! My card using lots of MFT Stamps at the request of my little Birthday Girl! She specifically asked for this sweet little gal to adorn her card, Pure Innocence Freckles from MFT. She is stamped onto X Press It Blending Card and then cut out and layered with Rectangle 1 STAX Die-Namics and Rectangle 2 STAX Die-Namics, both from MFT. I stamped the little girl from Pure Innocence Something Special Just For You, and just colored and cut out her crown. I added it to my little gal...love the look of that! Her outfit was paper pieced with the same papers I've used on my card, Pretty Party from Crate Paper. The background panel was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I added borders to the horizontal panels using the new Mini Scallop Edge Die-Namics from MFT. The sentiment, "Birthday Girl", is from Pure Innocence My Balloon, and I stamped it onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics. I added a felt rose cut with the Large Royal Rose Die-Namics out of Bubblegum My Favorite Felt I then added some leaves cut with the Royal Leaves Die-Namics cut from Jellybean Green My Favorite Felt. A bit of Natural Jute Twine was tied underneath, and also around the horizontal panels, which I layered over some yummy Pink Crochet Ribbon, both of which are from The Ribbon Carousel! On the inside I added more patterned paper, another border cut with the Mini Scallop Edge Die-Namics, and then a fun element cut using both the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics and First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics (the larger circle panel). I stamped "Happy Birthday" from the new Pure Innocence All Occasion Sentiments. How is your week going so far? I am on spring break and my time off seems to be flying by. I feel like I never get the thing done that I want to get done. I did have some time yesterday in my craft room to make this cutie patootie. Do you ever make a card and just love it? I often do, but after I was finished with this one I felt like she looked kinda washed out or the card needed something else. I must have at least 50 of the 6x6 paper packs and none of them were jumping out saying "use me"! It took longer to choose the paper than it did for me to make the entire card. Really?! So this sentiment was very fitting. :) I used the newest MFTWSC sketch for my design. The new blueprint die-namics set has a cute little stitched circle die that fit perfectly inside the mini doily circles for my sentiment. Copics Skin: E000, E00, E21, Cheeks: R22 Hair: E31, E33, E37 Shoes: E40, E44 SUPPLIES USED: InLinkz.com Thanks so much for stopping by, Heather
Well...seem to be struggling with the Mojo today. Not really happy with how this turned out, but at this point I don't have any better ideas, and at least it's done! Maybe tomorrow will be better! Just don't have time to make it any better before the challenges it is for are due. Anyway, this is for this weeks My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy #65, and the Playdate Cafe Color Splash Challenge. Here is the sketch: And here is the color picture: I layered some papers together from my stash, stamped the Pure Innocence image, and colored it a bit with some Copics. The sentiment is stamped on brown paper with PTI white ink. Inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink, and tucked a little heart shaped doily in there. So...I promise I will be back tomorrow with something better...some sneaky peeks for the new Peachy Keen releases! They are super cute and fun as always!!! I have had these waiting to share for a bit now, and can't wait to show you!

All of the patterned paper is Beach Babe from Fancy Pants. I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card, colored her with Copic Markers and then fussy cut her out. I cut two panels of Sweet Tooth Cardstock using the Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. The sun was cut from both patterned paper and Lemondrop Cardstock using the Sunshine Die-Namics, and I've added a rhinestone circle around it. For the horizontal panels of the sketch I added some Honeydew Twine. LOVE. The card base is the yummy Cotton Candy Cardstock. Speaking of LOVE, get a load of the new Hibiscus Die-Namics. SWOONING! I then masked her off and airbrushed in the cloudy sky, again using a panel that I cut with the Wonky Scallop Border Die-Namics. I cut out the panel and layered it with the Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. The layering mat was cut from Blue Raspberry Cardstock. The sentiment, "Make A Splash" is from the exclusive Fun In The Sun Sentiments and I stamped it onto a panel of Sweet Tooth Cardstock cut with the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics. I added a sun cut with the Sunshine Die-Namics out of both patterned paper, which is all from Hello Summer by Echo Park Papers, and Lemondrop Cardstock, and as I did on my first card, added a rhinestone circle for extra shine. For my card today, I pulled out the adorable Pure Innocence Sweet Greetings. I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic Markers. The stamp is actually of a PI holding cotton candy, but I didn't ink that part and instead, using my Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics, cut a circle from a piece of Cotton Candy Cardstock and added glitter to the top. I then added it to my panel with Foam Tape for dimension. I cut her out with Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics, and used Bazzill Candy Bar Cardstock for the layer and the card base. I also used Marshmallow for the layers, and the main panel is Cotton Candy. The sentiment, "Life Is Sweet" was stamped onto a panel of Marshmallow Cardstock cut with the Chat Bubbles Die-Namics, and I added a border of My Favorite Felt in Puff Cloud White with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics. Here is a closeup of this cutie. All of the patterned paper is Sweet Day from Echo Park Papers and I added some DELISH Pink V Striped Twill Ribbon and Cotton Candy Divine Twine. On the inside I added another panel of Cotton Candy and more layers of Marshmallow and Candy Bar, and stamped another sentiment in Sugar Fresh Ink. Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Can you believe we are already up to day Six of MFTeasers? Today is Pure Innocence Teaser Day! Woot!!! I have two cards to share with you today! First up is the DARLING new Pure Innocence Ice Princess! I was sick when these two new gals were previewed in the VIP Kit, so I am SO excited to use them now! She is colored with Copic Markers and I paper pieced her outfit with the same patterned paper I've used on my card, Vanity Fair from My Minds Eye. I then added another layer to her skirt, this time out of vellum, which is popped up for dimension. I added some pearls where her top and skirt meet. She was cut out and popped up onto a panel cut with the new Oval Open Scallop Doily Die-Namics. The sentiment, "You're A Perfect" (I just omitted the word ten) was stamped onto a panel cut with the Bracket Tab Die-Namics, and I used the By The Numbers Die-Namics to create the "10", which is layered onto two circles cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics and the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics respectively. A simple ribbon and bow complete the front. The layout is Saturday's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS137. On the inside I added some more patterned paper, a border cut with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics, and another sentiment from this set, "You're So Cool". Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card: Next up is the adorable new Pure Innocence Holly Girl! LOVE her! She is colored with Copic Markers and just her skirt was paper pieced using the same papers I've used on the card, Holly Jolly from My Minds Eye. The layout is the new December SFYTT. I used the new Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics for the sentiment panel, which reads "Be Merry". She is layered over a circle panel, the base of which was cut with the Decorative Doily Die-Namics. I added a ribbon/bow combo as well as two silver brads. For the inside I added more patterned paper, and a layered sentiment panel created with the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics, which reads "Happy Holly-Days". I used the holly leaf from the Christmas Ornaments Die-Namics, as well as some punched circles, to create a little adornment. Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I wanted to play with some of the new cling stamps by Inkadinkado I received last week. They really are top quality stamps and I highly recommend them! I colored the floral image with Copics, Pro-Markers, Bic Markits and SU pastels. The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Material Girl collection, and I stamped the main image on SU Very Vanilla. The sentiment is from the A Muse "Essential Sentiments" set. I finished off the card with ruffled ribbon from Hobby Lobby and a button, and floss. Today I am playing along with a few challenges: Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge #148 - Buttons and bows Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes Tuesday Throwdown #43 - Spring Paper Sundae's Challenge # 63 - Spring Blossoms Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge # 49 - Oh So Spring Don't forget to sign up for my Blog Candy featuring an assortment of bakers twine from "The Twinery" HERE.
So I ended up getting a bit behind on the MFT Getting Sketchy Challenges - but really liked this sketch, and didn't want to miss it! I kind of took some liberty with the sketch - but I like how it turned out! Here is the sketch: This actually came together pretty quickly. I layered some washi tape from Martha Stewart on my pattern paper, trimmed it to the right size for a card background and rounded the top two corners. Added the sentiment along the bottom - LOVE that sentiment! Added one of the Pure Innocence girls right above the washi tape, covering where I didn't want stamped with a piece of plain cardstock to protect it. Finished off with a couple of stick on pearls. Simple and sweet!

Here is what is included in this limited quantity kit: Pure Innocence Classic Kids VIP Collection $26.50 Pure Innocence Violin Girl stamp set Pure Innocence Blowing Bubbles stamp set Classic Kids Sentiments mini (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE) Monarch Border Die-namics Die Of course, it goes without saying that I ADORE this new VIP Collection! These new Pure Innocence sets are too darling for words and I LOVE the Classic Kids Sentiments mini and the new Monarch Border Die-Namics Die...love! I have two cards to share with you today, since I just had to use both of these two new cuties! First up, Pure Innocence Violin Girl! I colored her with Copic Markers and cut out the panel with Circle Nestabilities. Her dress is paper pieced with the same patterned paper I used on the card, Head Over Heels from Lily Bee Designs. I used an older MFT Sketch, MFTWSC18, for the layout. I often refer back to the MFT Sketches when I need a layout...it's a great resource! I cut the border out of patterned paper using the new Monarch Border Die-Namics. LOVE this border. I added a twill bow and a little circle sentiment panel, cut with Circle Nestabilities, with a sweet sentiment, "Just A Little Note To Say...". For the inside I added lots of layers with some more patterned paper, along with a sentiment from the Classic Kids Sentiments Mini. Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card: Next up is the SUPER sweet Pure Innocence Blowing Bubbles! She just makes me long for summer! Once again, I used an older MFT Sketch for the layout, MFTWSC23, and all the patterned paper is Sidewalks from October Afternoon. The Kraft panel was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her shirt with the same papers I used on the card. I added some grass under her feet with Prismacolor Pencils. The sentiment, "Pop" was stamped onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Border Die-Namics and I added a patterned paper border cut with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics. The flowers were cut from Sno Cone Cardstock using the Flower Trio and Leaf Trio Die-Namics. I love all the dimension on these! Each flower center was adorned with a yellow brad. On the inside, I added some more patterned paper and a sentiment from the Classic Kids Sentiments mini set, "If I were any more excited, I'd burst!". So cute! Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card: Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers showcasing this fabulous new VIP Collection today!! Pure Innocence Season's Tweetings Homespun Stitch Lines Blogged
There is a new cutie pure innocence image in town! This is "Freckles" and she is part of the April VIP kit from My Favorite Things! I stamped in tattered rose distress ink so that you wouldn't see the image lines after I was done coloring with my copic markers. Cool! I think it adds yet another different look to these sweet images. After I was done coloring I went in with my multiliner pens in sepia, blue and black to draw in the facial details. Make sure you check out all the designer samples that you will find on the MFT blog. Thanks for stopping!
