I used the pretty Simon Says Stamp Deco Heart die and cool CZ Design/Simon Says Stamp sentiment to make a card that I thought combined them sweetly:)!... Cathy Zielske...AKA CZ Design, has a line of stamps and dies over at Simon Says Stamp! She is funny and fun, and though I've never met her, I like her...and I like her style! She makes cool stamps and dies, and the partial sentiment stamp that I used on today's card is just one such example. I DID use a "You are" from another stamp set, as I felt my card needed a bigger sentiment and the heart needed a little bit of curvy font, so I simply used the last part of her sentiment, the word resplendent! Ok...few I have asked know what that word means, but I had heard it on a Disney show(yes, I DO learn from Disney...watching A LOT of it with Noah:):)!!). Resplendent means: attractive and impressive through being richly colorful, having a very bright or beautiful appearance, has great beauty, and is a pleasure to behold, lovely...to give you a few. I thought the one brightly colored heart amongst the black and white went with resplendent...impressive through being richly colorful...and that the one who receives this card will be someone loved and like that pretty pink heart!! I layered the black die cut heart three times, and a couple white below the black with the heart attached to the layered black hearts. I layered with the two white layers to give the heart die cut real depth for when I put the card together. Here's a close up... I really love this card...thanks Cathy for the cool vibe you bring to the crafting industry...love your style, lady:)!! This was great fun...be resplendent you!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the new February 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Love Story! This month's kit is full of vintage fun! The included Slider Typewriter and Camera stamp set has such a vintage feel, and a coordinating die with an interactive element (LOVE this one so much!) there is a fun embossing folder, lovely pattern paper and gorgeous ephemera...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, embellishments, and more! Today's card is a super simple and fun INTERACTIVE card! In the first photo above, you can see what it looks like, until you follow the directions and pull the little slider up to reveal the hidden message! I added a slightly wider strip of cardstock attached to the bottom, so it wouldn't slide all the way out of the opening cut in the typewriter. So fun! Backed with some wonky layers of the pattern paper in the kit to add some color and texture - and a few of the little ephemera bits on there as well! Here are some more photos of it with the interactive part engaged: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hello there and happy DieCember to you! Yes, it is that time of year again where Simon Says Stamp celebrate all things dies and die cutting. There will be fun things happening throughout the month but today sees the main DieCember release. For my cards today, I am using the new Privet Branch Die. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my cards by getting inky. I took sheets of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Distress Cardstock and placed them in my Splat Box. I then sprayed them with lots of different Distress Spray Stains. I will be honest with you, I was playing about so I am not 100% sure of the combination but these panels did use Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire. I also spritzed them with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz before setting them aside to dry. Whilst they were drying, I die cut the new Simon Says Stamp Privet Branch Die multiple times from white cardstock with double-sided adhesive sheet on the back. For the first card, I die cut one of the inked panels using a Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Die. I also used a larger die to emboss this on to an A2 white card base. The inked panel was added on top with tape runner. I then added on one layer of the Privet Branch on top, followed by another two layers, so that it was three layers high. I added on two Simon Says Stamp Reverse Sentiment Strips Birthday sentiments on top (cut using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies) with foam tape. To finish off, I added Little Things from Lucy's Cards Bubbles. For my next card, I die cut one of the inked panels with the Simon Says Stamp Privet Branch Die. I also cut it another three times from white cardstock with the adhesive sheet on the back. They were layered up on to a white A2 card base and the excess cut off the top. I die cut another two Simon Says Stamp Reverse Sentiment Strips Birthday sentiments and added them on with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Bubbles. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. I think this die is so pretty and can be used for so many occasions and designs. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it (apologies for all the posts!). I hope you will check out the rest of the release. Have a wonderful day!

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards using the new April 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Wild and Free Flowers! This month's kit is full soft, muted florals, and lovely sentiments! The included stamp set by the same name has some pretty florals and scripty sentiments. There is also a fun embossing folder, lovely pattern paper and embossing powder and ink pad...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more! The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more! My cards for this were a little later than planned, and honestly, quite different than what I probably would have made a week ago. Last week, the day after my mom's 77th birthday, we began the process of walking her to heaven. She passed early Friday morning. The next few days were a combination of a heaviness from saying goodbye, sadness for how much she will be missed, and happiness for her to know she is finally without the physical struggles she faced the last few years of her life. When I opened the April card kit, these cards just jumped into my mind, and had to be made. I cut some ovals from some of the pattern paper in the kit, and a larger one from vellum to layer behind for softness. I stamped the florals on the ovals with Heather ink, and then the sentiments over the top in black. The background used the included Floating Flowers 3D embossing folder, and then I finished off with some of the Lilac Dazzling gems. Here are more photos of these finished cards: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means that if you use one of the links below, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Hello crafters! Today I have a tutorial using one detailed 3-D embossing folder to make three cards. It is a quick and simple debossing technique with instant inking. Please note: this post has affiliate links, for which I receive a small percentage of sales generated by the link, at no extra cost to you. I love embossing folders and all the different techniques you can do with them. The Simon Says Stamp 3-D embossing folders have so much details and the 3-D effect is really cool. For these cards, I decided to use the debossed side of the pattern, instead of the embossed, which is what I normally use. For the soft, shabby chic coloring, Distress Oxide Ink was used. The cards were embellished with word dies, stamped sentiments and other bits and pieces. I used the Simon Says Stamp Vine Canopy 3-D embossing folder for all the cards. Ink the folder directly with the ink pad. Don't worry if it isn't perfect. Mist the back of the watercolor paper with a little water and emboss. I experimented with different Distress Oxide Inks, but liked the lighter shades the best. I distressed the edges of all the panels and inked them with brown Distress Ink. They were stitched to a mat and a cardbase. For this card, I used Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink for the background. The debossed and inked design looks very interesting and the details in this embossing folder are amazing. The inking won't be perfect, but that just adds to the look. For this card, I die cut the Simon Says Stamp You Matter die from white paper and inked it with Distress Ink. The matte was die cut from kraft paper and I applied a layer of Glossy Accents on top of the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from the All Seasons Tree and the butterfly is from Tim Holtz Field Notes Ephemera. This is the Cracked Pistachio card. Here I didn't ink the edges and stitched the panel directly onto a folded kraft card. The Beautiful title was die cut from kraft and Simon Says Stamp Mint cardstock. I also used a bunch of Field Notes Snippets ephemera and stamped 'day' on one of them. The debossed edges are really nice and crisp. The third card uses Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, for a light blue background. The card was given some shine and interest with Simon Says Stamp Aqua Holographic paper. Celebrate was die cut from both kraft and holographic paper. The sentiment stamp comes from Anna's Flowers. The hearts come from the Clipping Heart die. You can quickly make a whole bunch of these. Since the background is so intricate and textured, it doesn't need many embellishments. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by here today! Happy crafting!
