Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It’s time for the August MFT Release Replay! Have you gotten all of your new goodies from the August MFT Release? If you haven’t ordered yet, you can find the entire FABULOUS release right HERE in the MFT Boutique! OK. I am aware that I have three cards in a row now using the GORGEOUS new Written In The Stars set and Shining Stars Die-namics! I just CANNOT stop using these fabulous new products! It’s also no secret that I am OBSESSED with creating backgrounds. I was amazed by a GORGEOUS background Amy Rysavy recently created using Gansai Tambi Watercolors and I just had to try it myself! I started with a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper and cut it with Blueprints 1 Die-namics. I then created the background using Gansai Tambi Watercolors. LOVE this fun galaxy look! I then die-cut “stars” four times from Smooth White Card Stock using the Shining Stars Die-namics, and then layered them together. I added the layered die-cut to the galaxy background, and added a trio of stars, cut from Silver Sparkle Card Stock, also using the Shining Stars Die-namics. I stamped “OH MY” from Written In The Stars onto a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder. I trimmed it down and added it to the card using Foam Tape. Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head over to the MFT Blog to check out what the rest of the team has created for the August Release Replay!

Welcome friends, I do love the Holographic Trio Specialty Paper (#161744) which I used for the fireworks from the Light The Sky dies (#162295). The colours are variable depending on the light and looks fantastic here. I cut the large fireworks with a die but it doesn't cut the outline so this was fussy cut. I used 2 of the smaller dies to cut the fireworks on the Stargazing 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#161175). The DSP was attached to the Berry Burst card (#144249), then attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The large fireworks was attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). “Let’s Celebrate” is from the Light The Sky stamp set (#162289) and I used Berry Burst ink (#147143). The die to cut this is from the Waves dies (#158840) and attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). I added the retired Adhesive-Backed stars to the card. The size of the finished card is 14.9cm x 14.9cm. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. Hello there, I am over on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel today, creating a card using rainbow clouds. I always think that rainbows are a sign of positivity and I think we can all agree, we need some of that at the moment! So my little guy is flying in the clouds all alone, missing his friends and family but brighter days are ahead! I started off my card by stamping the adorable bear from the MFT Partners In Adventure Set on to white cardstock with MFT Extreme Black Ink. I then coloured him with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies section for reference) and die cut him out using the MFT Partners In Adventure Die-namics. I set him aside while I worked on the clouds. I took a 5.5" x 3.75" panel of white cardstock and placed the MFT Cloud Stencil on top, securing with low tack tape. Using a blending brush, I blended on Distress Inks. I used Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. I then splattered on a little water for some more interest and let the piece sit to dry. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from the new MFT Bitty Hugs & Kisses Stamp Set, which is out tomorrow in the January release, with more Extreme Black Ink. The panel was added to an A2 white card base with foam tape. The bear was then added on top with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Bubbles with MFT On-Point Precision Glue. VIDEO: Here is the video showing how I made the card: If you are viewing this blog post via email subscription, you can watch the video here on YouTube. Hello stampers! Today's post is for the SUO Challenge - Make it Geometrical. My geometrical shape if you didn't guess it, is STARS! Starry Night using Stampin'Up! punches and ink Something about this card just makes me wish for cool nights and star gazing with the family. It really came together pretty easy, the most difficult part was getting all the ink layered onto the card and making sure they blended. So the recipe for this card is as follows: Using a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White, I started sponging on Soft Sky and Pool Party ink working my way up with Night of Navy and a touch of Elegant Eggplant at the top. I just kept layering on the colors until I was happy with the transition. I wanted Silver Stars (but don't currently have any silver foil paper), I smooshed versamark ink onto some WW cardstock and embossed it with the Silver Embossing powder then punched out the stars with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and a banner for my sentiment. I actually embossed the sentiment onto the banner as well once it had cooled. I added some small pearls and little dots with the Uni-ball White Gel Pen. The standard A2 Whisper White card base is layered with a piece of black cardstock cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I attached the stars with gluedots and popped a few up using dimensionals. The sentiment was from Sweet Stuff and I popped that up as well. I left the inside blank for my personal message. All the products used for this card are linked below. I hope you enjoyed today's card and thanks for stopping by. Until next time....
