Woodland solstice ornaments. These are clear plastic ornaments that you can use to hang on your altar, in your window, in the doorway, on your holiday tree/log, or as a decoration anywhere you’d like. Measures approximately 3x3 around. Witch Balls are generally hung in windows and used as protection charms from negativity and evil spirits. Witch balls can also be hung outside, such as in gardens or similar to wind chimes, or hung throughout the house to create a peaceful setting. All items have been cleansed and blessed along with positive thoughts and energy into each ornament. **Made to order in small batches** Each ornament contains: preserved moss, cloves, cinnamon sticks, tiny pine cones, and coffee beans for a nice woodland vibe. ➖Due to transportation, ingredients may shift in the ornaments causing them to mix together a little more. All items are packaged securely in a box to ensure safe delivery. I use clear plastic rather than glass ornaments because they ship easier and will not shatter glass everywhere if you drop one.➖ *These herbs are strictly for entertainment purposes only. They are not meant to be consumed or used to treat medical conditions. Use as decorations, in spiritual rituals or magick spells, or as ornamental decorations. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.

The Yule Goat has for long been an important symbol in Scandinavia. It is still today one of the most common decorations used around the house during Christmas times. The tradition originates from the pagan beliefs, where Thor, the god of thunder, rode across the sky in a chariot drawn by the two goats Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrisnir. The goats are handmade, meaning that they vary in shape and size. No two are identical. Size excl. the horns: Approx. 5-6" x 3-4" (15-16 x 9-11 cm) Material: Straw The goats are handmade and may vary in shape and size. If ordering from Australia, make sure that you are allowed to import straw. A theory is that the Yule Goats were used in the pagan celebrations around Midwinter. The last sheaf of the newly harvested crop was believed to contain a special power of the crop, and it would have been important to preserve it till the next year. The sheaf was shaped as a goat in honor of Thor’s goats and saved till the Yule celebrations where it was used in rites to ensure good harvests the coming year.
Wishing on a yule pinecone is the perfect activity for a memorable yule party. In this tradition that dates back centuries, participants write their goals, intentions, and wishes on scraps of paper. These papers are rolled up and placed in the gaps of pinecones, then the pinecones are tossed into a fire. Burning the goals and wishes adds a level of participation that makes this activity more engaging than setting typical New Year's resolutions. You could even expand this activity to get younger kids more involved. Go on a nature hike as a family and have everyone find a pinecone. You could also set out craft supplies and encourage the kids to decorate their pinecones. My family started incorporating this yule pinecone activity into our existing winter solstice traditions. We'll have family over for dinner, bake a decorate a yule log for dessert, and finish off the night with burning our yule wishing pinecones. If it gets too cold where you live to sit around the fire outside, then consider an indoor fireplace as another option. You could also encourage your party guests to take their pinecones home with them as a reminder of their goals. Small holidays like winter solstice are some of my family's favorites. There are zero expectations for these obscure holidays, so you are free to set your own traditions. Are there any holidays outside the norm that you celebrate?
