Emerging with a graceful suggestion of celestial blue amidst the contrasting landscape of Prufrock's Ragged Claw C4, this fragment of the master collection evokes the essence of a modern metropolis' chromatic pulse. The industrial shades of black, no less ink than ebony, cradle the cool serenity of midnight blues, allowing the tertiary hints of lavender and ochre to shimmer gently, adding depth and complexity. In this conceptual realm where minimalist art converges with decorative potential, the artistic innovation behind each carefully uncovered layer inspires a reflective urban narrative. As the eye traverses this canvas of visual art, it strikes a harmonious balance between the stark color fields and the organic undulations on its surface. Collectors enchanted by contemporary abstract art might find themselves drawn to the adjacent Scales of B4, D4, E4, F4 to compose a visually cohesive story in their curated spaces. Infusing a design-focused environment with this Scale, where neutrality meets a hint of chromatic surprise, would augment a gallery wall or a statement living room piece, complementing an understated palette of earthy tones or a minimalist design ethos.Reverberating through the titrated layers of oil, Prufrock's Ragged Claw C4 radiates emotional resonance that might bring to the surface personalized interpretations and reflections, akin to an introspective journey. As original artworks, Scales awaken an environment, bestowing upon it the vibrant art that only large-scale fine art prints can. In grander dimensions, each Scale has the potential to anchor a room's narrative, casting itself as an artisan-crafted linchpin in an art collection or office decor, invigorating the space with bold yet sophisticated vibrancy.

Brushed with a shade reminiscent of antiquated maroon, Ministry of Love F4 captures the eye with its depth and complexity. Hints of ochre zested with a subtle presence add a harmonic contrast, unfolding like the embers of a once vivid flame. Delicately interwoven, shades of somber ivy black and a muted alabaster lend this work an elegant balance, praising the minimalism of simple abstract art while echoing the sophistication found in collectible art. Aspiring to transform modern spaces, this original artwork balances the scale between vibrant art and minimalist design, proffering an artistic innovation that coheres seamlessly with neutral abstract art.Visualizing Ministry of Love F4 within a grander narrative, the collector's eye is drawn to contemplate adjacent Scales. The continuity achieved with 'B4, C4, D4, E4' creates an uninterrupted visual tale that speaks with an enriched vocabulary of colors and forms. Whether displayed in a stately home gallery or as a statement piece in a discerning office decor, the collective placement of these Scales turns a blank wall into a museum-quality art installation. The subtle suggestion of visual art in grander formats teases the appetite for detail that can only be appreciated in large abstract art, where each stroke's passage across the canvas is revealed in hyperreal clarity.Finding its residence among earthy tones or alongside the brilliance of a stark white wall, Ministry of Love F4 resonates with both the contemporary abstract art aficionado and the patron of luxurious art. The rich maroon backdrop, interplayed with the depth of black and the muted nuances of ivory, renders this piece an artisan-crafted treasure. It holds the capacity to evoke a spectrum of emotions and memories, becoming the curator's pick for an exquisite room transformation - an infusion of culture, color, and artful introspection into one's personal space.

second fridge everyday rhythms collection by Katie Austin Taylor our original artwork is inspired by the raw, reactive, imaginative and feathered approach kids have to their painting style and how they create art. it’s this childlike open ended language which we are yearning to tap back into and relearn how to create art while playing. concepts of our paintings are loose, they are not thought out in deep intent, rather the mark making of our paintings are mere extensions of our thoughts at that very moment, colour is also worked out by laying on colours then taking them away or whiting them out until it feels good. mcaabe fleeting folk elements, reactive shapes and linework and the balance of ugly bits is everything our art encompasses original artwork, acrylic and mixed media layered on masonite board. dimensions length: 60cm, width: 40cm
About Michael Loew (1907-1985). Red Above Blue, 1966. Acrylic on canvas, 39 x 56 inches. Signed lower right. Signed, titled and dated en verso. Excellent condition. Biography: Michael Loew was born in 1907 and was the son of a New York City baker. After high school, he was an apprentice to a stained-glass maker, and from 1926-1929, he studied at the Art Student’s League. In 1929, he traveled to Paris, North Africa, Germany, and Italy with a group of artists, including Max Schnitzler and Alfred Jensen. When he returned to New York City in 1931, the Great Depression hit Loew unexpectedly, and for the next two years he paid his apartment rent with his paintings. In 1935, he found work with the WPA where he painted murals and partnered up with longtime friend Willem de Kooning in 1939 on a mural for the Hall of Pharmacy at the New York World’s Fair. Their friendship lasted for the rest of their lives and, in fact, Loew met his wife Mildred through a friend of de Kooning’s. Loew had a strong interest in artists’ rights and activism, and as president of the Artists’ Union, he led a protest which involved artists chaining themselves to poles in Union Square. After Pearl Harbor, Loew joined the Navy and served as the battalion artist for the “Seabees” in the Pacific. When he returned in 1946, his painting moved quickly toward abstraction. From 1947-1949, he studied post-Cubism at the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Arts. In 1948, he joined the Spiral Group, an organization of artists devoted to the exhibition of experimental art. The Artists Gallery in New York hosted his first one-man show in 1949, and one year later, he enrolled at the Atelier Leger in Paris. In 1956, he began teaching in the United States. By 1985 he had been an instructor at the Portland Museum School, University of California at Berkeley, and the School of the Visual Arts, NYC. His works are in the collections of prominent institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Chris Gwaltney paints in a lush style, combining areas of abstraction with loose figurative elements. He experiments with sensuous surface finishes, compiling multiple layers of paint and oil stick that show drips and various markings. Gwaltney’s paintings are open ended; the style is free and unfinished which allows the viewer to fill in the essence of each story. In these paintings the figure is expressed as a gesture, a presence simply articulated with line and stroke, often seen as walking alone or in relation to one or more figures. He builds and sketches on the canvas, taking away what is unnecessary, paring down the visual language.

A retrospective of Chris Gwaltney’s 30 years of exhibition history would read like an intimate chronology of the artist’s life. Gwaltney’s paintings have always been a reflection of his daily existence and his place in it. His source material has been his family. His representations, however, are not literal. For Gwaltney, gestures and their implied emotions are more important than pure representation. The figures come to being in ambiguous abstracted space, often informed by the bright sunlit colors of the Laguna Beach, California coastline where he has made his home and studio. For Gwaltney, the figure is expressed as a gesture, a presence simply articulated with line and stroke, often seen as walking alone or in relation to one or more figures. His process has always been reductive, building and sketching on the canvas, then taking away what is unnecessary, paring down the visual language. "Unfinished" is a contemporary, abstract figurative oil painting on linen.

In the realm of Anna Judd's visual art, The Noise Above Our Heads E1 is a symphony of midnight sapphire, varnished with an essence that recalls the deepest hours of twilight. This singular Scale, evoking contemporary abstract art, indulges the eye with rhythmic harmonies of cerulean and indigo, punctuated by the rich embers of gold and tangerine that dance at its edges. For those yearning to adorn their spaces with artistic innovation, this piece beckons. Whether displayed in solitude or as part of the larger ensemble with The Noise Above Our Heads E2, E3, and E4, its inherent energy speaks to the transformative capability of minimalist abstract art. Such a work promises to transform a plain room into an immersive experience, suggesting the harmonious continuity of gallery wall arrangements, particularly in settings dressed in rich, complementary hues.Envision the soft sheen of oil across the canvas, where each swirl and divergence unfolds in high-definition scale for those privileged to indulge in larger prints. In an art collection, this work would nestle perfectly against the earthy textures or sleek minimalism of modern decors. It summons an intrinsic curiosity - the more you contemplate it, the more the abstract form lends itself to serene introspection, unwinding personal narratives without uttering a single word.
