Me cu…

I am a Turkey-based photographer and I mainly work in fashion but also create beautiful blended photographs through a creative exploration of double exposures. I create intriguing compositions by merging landscapes and architecture with fragmented bodies and faces to create a complex representation of forms.

With a wildly surreal imagination, artist Rustam QBic from Kazan, Russia creates fish adorned with houses and windows, elephants sprouting giant buildings, and a goose whose feathers are made from a ocean of angry waves. Almost every one of his creations, be it on paper or on a wall is brimming with wonderful ideas and often have to be viewed up close to appreciate their full detail. He most recently completed murals for the LGZ Festival and for Art-Ovrag 2013, and you can see many more paintings, illustrations, and other work over on Facebook. More
Drawings full of symbolism. What meaning are you going to attribute to them? The following is the short description Artist Amrita Sarkar gives to the work on her social media page: "Pen & ink. Pencil & coal." "Self-taught. Still learning!" "Original and inspired artworks." As I have mentioned in some of the previous posts, October is a very busy for artists, as many join in, in the Inktober challenge. That means, there is a plethora of different drawings from artists around the world, all having the same title. Even thought the titles are the same, the works are not. It's a pleasure to showcase artists' work normally, but it's especially so, during this month. I have given them different titles, as they encapsulate so much more for me than the theme for the challenge. I hope the illustrations below speak to you, with the intensity they speak to me. In Ted Chin’s surreal dreamland, it’s not uncommon to see massive anglerfish swimming through the sky or a figure scooping up shooting stars. The San Francisco-based artist merges idyllic landscapes and outdoor scenes with fantastical details, choosing to upturn an evergreen in mid-air or position an oversized octopus underneath a floating house. Simultaneously uncanny and calming, the composites are eye-catching and rooted in imagination. “There are things in the world that inspire childlike wonder and awe, and it is my passion to recreate and share them with the world,” the artist says.
