McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 Air Siam Sept., 1976 Air Siam started operations in 1969, with one DC-4. By 1976,They had this DC-10, an A300, and two 747s. However, the Thai government didn't want the state owned airline, Thai Airlines, to have to compete for business with another in-country airline, using the same routes. With this edict, Air Siam now had too much capacity, as they were not allowed to use the busy international routes. The government effectively drove them to bankruptcy, and they shut down in Sept., 1976. Which is why I only have 3 pictures of their DC-10. Notice that the left side titles are in English.

Duxford Spring Air Show 2013 - This Dakota DC-3 “Drag Em Oot”” performed a formation demonstration with N147DC at the Air Show. This aircraft was heavily utilised during WWII and D-Day. It still retains the bullet holes in the fuselage and the captains seat. It was previously registered in the United States N5831B. When it arrived in the United Kingdom in 2005 it underwent major restoration to get it to the form she takes today. The sights and sounds of these two warbirds in the skies above Duxford was truly memorable. Imagine if there were more of them in formation, what a fantastic sight that would be? - Photo taken at Duxford (EGSU) in England, United Kingdom on May 26, 2013.
