Happy Friday everyone :-D It´s time for a new challenge at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog. The theme for this fortnight is #120, Flip Flops. You can create whatever you like (card, scrapbook layout, 3-D project etc.), using any technique you like. We just want to see flip-flops or some other summer shoes on your project. :-D For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), Summer Card. I used adorable Mo's Manning digital stamp 'Summer Girl'. Image is paper pieced. I used two same images for this card. I printed the image on a white paper (160 grams), colored it with colored pencils and blended colors with paper stumps and baby oil. TIP: When blending colors with a baby oil and paper stumps, make sure your paper stump isn't too wet. If so, your paper will be oily and you'll not be able to see the results immediately. After drying, I fussy cut the image and colored edges with black permanent marker. TIP: When fussy cutting, first cut away large pieces of paper and then cut on the lines. Rotate paper, it will be much easier to cut around tiny details. I printed one more image on a white cardstock paper (white panel), colored girl's pigtails and glued colored image over it. TIP: Color edges of fussy cut image with black pen or marker. This way you'll hide white edges and any white space you didn't cut off. Your paper pieced image will look much better. I covered sunglasses, rubber bands, popsicle and flip-flops with gloss resin to create glossy accents. TIP: You can create glossy accents on your cards not only with Ranger's product Glossy Accents. I use gloss resin super-clear or transparent varnish with gloss. I pour medium on a piece of paper and add it on the parts I want with crafting needle. You can also use toothpicks, sewing needle etc. I used scraps from various papers, glued them and white panel with image on the card base and embellished card with polyresin starfish. TIP: Don't throw away any paper. Even the smallest pieces can be used for something. Card dimensions are 100 mm x 139 mm (4" x 5 1/2"). List of supplies: Mo's Manning digital stamp 'Summer Girl' white cardstock paper white paper (160 grams) Kraft packing paper Florence cardstock paper, Canvas Texture (brown) Graphic 45 paper collection 'French Country', 6 x 6, Patterns and Solids (scrap) Rayher's polyresin decoration starfish colored pencils (skin color, pink, light and dark blue, browns) Staedtler Lumocolor permanent black pen M (fmedium) 1.0 mm gloss resin super-clear transparent low temperature glue stick UHU universal glue white water based glue printer scoring board trimmer scissors crafting needle Dremel 920 glue gun, low temperature paper blending stump no. #1 paper blending stump no. #2 paper blending stump no. #3 Johnson's baby oil with Aloe Vera Stop by the Fairy Tale Challenge Blog and see gorgeous projects my Design Team Mates made for this challenge. Hello Friends This card uses Emily, a pretty new stamp from Sylvia Zet. I used my Copics for a change. The different medium felt strange at first after being used to water colouring with inks. I like the different effects both give. For this card I used papers from The Hobby House from the Love Me collection. They are inked and stitched and layered onto white Bazzill card. All the flowers, ribbon and bead strings are available from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Craft. The dies used are all Marianne. I added some tiny gems amongst the roses for some sparkle. Brown, Pink and Green is one of my favourite colour combinations for Spring, and it won't be long now girls. I am entering this card for ; Wild Orchid Challenge - Stitching Cute Card Thursday - Buttons and Bows The Hobby House - Anything Goes Hugs Christina XXX

Du finner fremgangsmåte her.

Buon giorno e buona settimana a tutti.
Time for a little Monday inspiration - Jodi style! I'm here to share with you a card I designed using the wonderful Sylvia Zet image called Rowan Fairy. I just love her designs and this one was such a delightful image to ink up using my Copics. I enjoyed keeping it bright and airy with my color choices and then adding the fun frame to show her off. I also used the whimsical die cut border from Whimsy called Dragonfly Border Die to add some interesting dimension behind Rowan. Some leaf die cuts, a bird cage and some fibers were added also. A small birdcage charm dangles from the fibers to finish it off. I think it makes a great "any occasion" card. I wish you all a terrific Monday (if there is such a thing!)... Hugs, Jodi - Kaboo Designs

AYN RAND - A SENSE OF LIFE is the first authorized film look at the life and work of the controversial Russian-born author of quot; The Fountainheadquot; and quot;Atlas Shrugged.quot; Narrated by Emmy Award-winning actress Sharon Gless, the documentary offers millions of fans the opportunity to relive the drama of Ayn Rand's life and fiction: from her early childhood and escape from Soviet Russia to her struggle and triumph as an American writer whose book sales exceed 300,000 copies annually after five decades in print. Drawing from personal papers and public archives across two continents, the film combines fact, literary fiction and an intimate weave of interviews with Rand's intellectual heir Leonard Peikoff, television journalist Mike Wallace, as well as rare photos, archival footage and an original film-noir scene from her 1934 play, quot;Ideal.quot; The material captures Rand's life-long themes of reason, rational selfishness and political freedom. AYN RAND - A SENSE OF LIFE, sweeping from pre-Revolutionary Russia to contemporary America, tells the story of a quot;ferocious angel, quot; a woman, and thinker who continues to incite the curiosity and passion of millions.

All of the new April products will be available on Wednesday this week! Simple but stylish! Huge thanks to Kay for joining us today! To see more of Kay's work, be sure you pop over to her blog My Joyful Moments. Until next time, happy crafting friends!
