"Alaz Ali..." dedim ayakta dikilerek, canımın yandığını biliyordu ve bende bunu hissettiğini biliyordum. "Alaz Ali kurban olsun sana." diyerek yanıtladı beni, gözlerimden yaşlar akarken durdurulamaz boyuttaydı. Ona doğru titrek bir adım atarken kan çanağı gözlerini gözlerimden ayırmıyordu. Sağ dizine oturdum çekingence, bacaklarımı sol dizine uzatarak kollarımı sıkıca boynuna doladım. Şimdi güvendeydim, istediğim kadar ağlayabilirdim. Nefesimi çenesine verirken bana sarılmaması beni şaşırtmıştı doğrusu, gözyaşlarım boyun girintisine düşerken sessizce konuştum. "Neden sarılmıyorsun bana?" Sanki küçük bir kız çocuğu babasından şefkât bekler gibiydi. "Sırtında yaralar var, sarılırsam acıtırım diye korkuyorum..." Başımı kaldırıp yakışıklı yüzüne baktığımda kirli sakallarına doğru yol alan gözyaşını görmüş boynuna daha sıkı sarılmıştım, sakallarının arasına yerleşen gözyaşına bastırdım ıslak dudaklarımı. Ali gözlerini sımsıkı yummuştu o sırada. "Senin dokunuşların benim canımı acıtmaz." dedim alnımı yanağına yaslarken, Abisinin ölümünü bile içine atan adam, benim yaralarım için gözyaşı döküyordu... 🥂 TIMARHANE KAÇKINI 🥂 Cover desing: @aine_desing ❤️
So often we assume that in order to learn something new about God, we have to pick up a hefty theology book that could take years to get through – as if God can only be found in the complex, lofty, hard-to-reach places. But the greatest and most beautiful truths about the divine can be found within
Johan Deckmann examines the complications of life through clever titles painted on the covers of fictional DIY books that tackle life's biggest questions.
According to a recent study, the U.S. market for self-improvement is $9.9 billion. Despite that, many therapists think that self-help books are useless. Gregg Williams, for example, says that change is hard, improvements happen unevenly, involve many steps and take a lot of time. Nothing even remotely close to what the self-help reads are preaching. Luckily, Johan Deckmann has something that's way better. By day, Deckmann analyzes the human behavior; by night, he writes down his observations as titles for fictional self-help publications. Using books found in antique shops as a canvas, the practicing psychotherapist transforms their boring covers into witty jokes. Even though most of his pieces balance between the hilarious and the poignant, their faded color and worn texture take the readers on an emotional journey of self-reflection and soul-searching.
