Day two of class dealt with flower dies. I used Yana Smakula's example for my card. There's a lot of dimensional adhesive behind that panel. I used Tombow's clear tabs. They're easy to hide. Memory Box - Fresh Foliage die Simon Says Stamp - Friendship Messages

I have two cards today for the Less is More challenge, which this week is 'Script'. The card on the left is using French Foliage and En Francais with a sentiment from Petite Pairs and is all stamped in Old Olive. I began by stamping off the En Francais stamp before stamping the image down the left hand side of the card then I took the three leaves and stamped randomly over the script and, without re-inking, I stamped them again. A lot of the white card base is covered but I think that, because none of the images are solid, the white shows through and gives the impression of still having quite a lot of white space - well I hope so anyway! The second card is made with a sentiment stamp from Happiest Birthday Wishes (a hostess set) and, because Chrissie & Mandi have said the script must not just be a sentiment stamp, I have adapted it a little. The original stamp starts with the 'B' and ends with a '!' and just above the 'T' it says happy, so I masked off the 'happy' and inked the rest of the stamp with Soft Suede and placed in the centre at the bottom of the card. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig I stamped again at either side to make a script border. I then took another stamp from the same set and inked just the 'Wishing you a happy' part with a Soft Suede marker and positioned this above. The mushrooms are from the Everybunny set and were stamped in Soft Suede and Old Olive then coloured in using a blender pen. I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to coming round and visiting you all - when I've got the housework and the shopping done that is!!
Happy Friday!!! We made it and I don't know about you, but I am pretty excited!! My card today is one I made as part of our Team Mystery Stamping Tuesday night. This is the card that I based the
Just thought I would show you a couple more cards using the same layout and use of the Memory Box Fresh Foliage die that I used on this card(thanks again, Loll!)... After I made this teal colored card, I needed to make a sympathy card AND a birthday card, and thought that making a card like this one would be perfect for both occasions. The same, but what a difference a change of colored paper and sentiment can make(and I changed the square to a rectangle for the birthday to fit it's sentiment)... SUPER VERSATILE!! Hi everyone. It's the start of the CAS Mix Up October Challenge. This month we are looking for "ghosting" on your cards. And no, not the type of ghosts that show up for Halloween later this month :) ... but a ghost of an image. Ghosting is fun and easy to do. Check out my video tutorial on Ghosting. The stencil I used above is VERY open, so I wanted to create a ghost of the outline of the leaves. I sponged my card front randomly with turquoise and green inks. Then I sprayed the back of the stencil with water first, layed it on the card front, pressed down and removed. Let the water sit for about 10 seconds to work it's way into the sponged colours, and then blotted with a paper towel. Voila!! This combines Stencil Monoprint with Ghosting. :) This month we are excited to have Mac Mable (The Sweetest of Peas) are our Guest Designer. Mac won the CAS Mix Up August Challenge - Sprays with this GORGEOUS CARD. Welcome Mac! Please check out our challenge blog to see Mac's Ghosting card, along with the rest of the Design Team cards. I hope you'll give Ghosting a try and come join us at the CAS Mix Up challenge with your CAS (Clean and Simple) mixed media cards. We'd love to see you in the gallery. As always, the challenge is open until the 24th of the month. * * * * * CAS Watercolour's first challenge is live! As I mentioned on my blog a couple of days ago, Bonnie and I are excited to begin a new adventure with a new challenge --- CAS Watercolour Card Challenge. The first challenge starts today. Future challenges will begin on the 2nd of every month. The challenge is to create a CAS (Clean and Simple) Watercoloured card following the theme each month. Here's October's challenge ... And here's my card ... Come join our new challenge. Create a Clean and Simple Watercoloured Autumn card and enter it in the linky on the challenge blog. The challenge runs until Oct. 24th. * * * * * MORE EXCITING NEWS! We are having a Design Team Call for both CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour Card Challenge. When I saw the inspiration photo at For Your Inspiration, I positively leaped for joy! I love rich autumnal colours and while it might not be the season for them, I just had to play along. What a beautiful Oriental garden; I can just imagine myself on that bridge! This inspiration photo was also the perfect opportunity to play with the gorgeous leaf designs of French Foliage. I started by stamping leaves randomly onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The colours I used are Cherry Cobbler (which I LOVE!), More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. I then stamped the splodges in Crumb Cake. I can see these splodges being very useful! The stamped panel was then mounted onto textured Very Vanilla card stock (a trick I picked up from my upline Vicky's blog), with a length of Cherry Cobbler seam binding secured underneath. I wanted an 'off the page' look, so I didn't fasten the binding on the right, but rather left it loose. The sentiment was then stamped beneath in... surprise surprise... Cherry Cobbler! Here's a close-up of those lovely leaves: Supplies Stamps: French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake Card: Very Vanilla, textured Very Vanilla, Confetti Cream Other: Cherry Cobbler seam binding You can order these and any other SU supplies easily just by sending me an email or giving me a ring on 07977 141605. It's Sale-a-bration so you earn free stamp sets and designer paper for every £45 you spend. I have a free P&P offer running for my first three customers and a prize draw to win a set of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. I got very excited yesterday as we had a pair of grey wagtails flitting about the beck. It looked like they were investigating the bank so I hope they nest! We are really lucky to enjoy some fantastic wildlife in our garden, including a kingfisher and a pair of dippers. We even saw a weasel once. Join me again tomorrow to see a Sale-a-bration stamp set with some oh-so-strokable paper! Thanks for popping by today,

Hi everyone. Yesterday I spent the day in my studio with two crafty friends, Debbie and Frances. We used to work together and have know each other for over 30 years ... where does the time go??!! I showed them the smooshing technique using different papers (watercolour, mixed media) and two mediums (distress ink, inka gold wax paste). We made a bunch of backgrounds and found time for each of us to make six cards, as well as having many backgrounds left over to make into cards later. So fun! Above is one I made die-cutting an inka gold smooshed background. Love the soft and shimmery colours. Frances mention that it was a shame to throw away the leftover background with the leaves cut out from it, so I showed her and Debbie how to create an inlaid die-cut card ... a "twofer" as Darnell would say! :) I hope you have a fun and inky day!! Thanks for dropping by for a visit!! I always love hearing from you. :) Stamps: Just for You sentiment (Butterfly Birthday set from Happy Little Stampers); Thinking of you sentiment (A Little Sentimental stamp set from Clearly Besotted) Paper: White card base (Neenah); Mixed Media (Stratmore) Ink: Smoky Slate (SU!) Hi! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I thought I'd post today's card before the weather warms up too much. You see, it is one...
Our botanical and bird prints each come in three sizes: 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14. Our fish prints also come in 3 sizes, but slightly different: 6x9, 9x12, and 12x16. These prints are all available plain, matted, and framed with or without mats, with the exception that 5x7 and 6x9 are not available framed without mats. About Frame Sizes Frames are designated and referred to by the size of their opening, NOT by their outside dimensions. This is the industry convention and makes standardizing frames easier. An 8x10 frame is an 8x10 frame is an 8x10 frame, regardless of whether the frame molding is half an inch wide or 3" wide. Any frame described as an 8x10 has an opening sized to fit an 8x10 print or photo perfectly. Print Size Matted Size No Mat/Frame* Mat/Frame* 5x7 8x10 N/A 8x10 8x10 11x14 8x10 11x14 11x14 16x20 11x14/13x16 16x20 6x9 9x12 N/A 9x12 9x12 12x16 9x12 12x16 12x16 16x20 12x16 16x20 *Add 2" to each number to calculate outside frame dimensions for our frames. If using your own frame, add 2x its molding width to each number. How much Wall Space? To know the true amount of wall space a framed print will occupy, you must add the width of the frame molding on all sides to the standard designated size of the frame. The molding width of all the frames we sell is approximately 1". Therefore, you must add 2" (1" left and right, 1" top and bottom) to each dimension to get the finished size: 8x10 is really 10x12, 11x14 is really 13x16, 16x20 is really 18x22, etc.
Hello There ! A nice relaxed weekend for me this week, I hope yours is the same. It`s colour week over at the Simply Less is More Challenge and this time we have a fab combination of GREEN & GOLD I got a bit carried away and made 3 cards This one I`m more pleased with than the others. I started by sponging 3 different green inks onto white card and cutting out the circles with a Nestie die. The leaf is Poppystamps Lorelai Leaf cut from gold mirror card The Smile word is from Penny Black also cut from gold card This one is made from 2 shades of green and some gold paper with fern leaves punched out The sentiment is Waltzing Mouse stamped in clear ink and embossed in gold EP This one is my least favourite The stamp is from Penny Black stamped and embossed in gold EP onto dark green card. I made a panel for the front of my card and cut a circle into it with a nestie die. The sentiment is by Creative Expressions also embossed in gold EP My craft room needs some serious reorganisation. Hello Everyone! I took a little time to play today, and it felt good! It happens to be a Tuesday, and that means a color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Today's colors were Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and Pumpkin Pie. These colors together sound absolutely yummy! I guess they would be good as a dessert too! Well onto my submission shall we :) - I went CAS today, just paper and ink. Sometimes we need those back to the basics cards thrown in there once in awhile, to keeps us on the level. OK, that's it for me, off to get the kiddos ready for bed. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! I am really enjoying working with this new Forever Greenery Suite. Today I decided to make a layered card that highlights one of the beautiful Designer Series Papers (DSP) from this suite. I just love the color combination used in this paper pack. Here is what I came up with… The card base was created from Pretty Peacock cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. I then took a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 4 x 5 1/8”. I measured over from the left side ¾” and 3” and made little light marks with a pencil on both the top and bottom of the layer. Then draw a line from the ¾” on top to the 3” mark on the bottom and one from the 3” on the top to the ¾” on the bottom. Once I had my lines I went ahead and cut along each to create these “V” openings. I stamped the little grunge dots from the Forever Fern stamp set using Pretty Peacock ink that had first been stamped off once and then I stamped the “Hello” sentiment using Pear Pizzazz ink. I cut little strips of Just Jade cardstock that measured ¼” wide (I added them leaving about ½ the strip visible, liquid adhesive works best for this) I left a little sticking out of the top and bottom of each and cut them off evenly once they were attached (I just overlapped them at the point of the “V” since this is going to be covered anyway). I attached the two whisper white layers onto a piece of Forever Greenery DSP that measured 3 x 4” just bringing the points together. Once this layer was all done, I popped it up onto the card base using dimensionals, the extra dimension really adds to the card. Now the fun part I got to decorate my card. I stamped several different greenery stamps from the stamp set onto whisper white cardstock using, Pretty Peacock, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Seafoam ink and then die cut them using the coordinating die set. I did add one of the leaves from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and I added a bow that I made from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack using a glue dot. I hope you enjoy this card. I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog. Hello there! Today I am playing with alcohol inks for the very first time to create watercolor-like backgrounds for clean and simple Fall cards. Alcohol inks have been around for a very long time, they were very popular several years ago when I was just getting into cardmaking. Honestly, I never understood the whole alcohol ink hype,
