Hi guys! I have a really fun mani to show you today. :) I bought Indigo by Glam Polish at least a few weeks ago (probably at least a month ago, actually!) but hadn't tried it yet! Crazy, because I'd wanted it ever since I saw this post by Polished Peripherals, in November last year! Ha! I'm not sure, but this polish may have been reformulated since then because it looked much more opaque on my nails at only two coats (Rebecca used 3). Indigo is an indigo base (shocking! ;)) with pink shimmer in it, and it has fuchsia & turquoise dot and micro glitter. It's so gorgeous! And it was a dream to apply too. This really is my type of polish. It's the type of polish I like to wear in winter. Sometimes I really don't like really dark colours on my nails so I don't tend to wear them in winter. This is darker than the colours I typically gravitate towards but not too dark so I love it. I paired Indigo with OPI's Can't Find My Czechbook which I thought was a very similar colour to the blue glitters in Indigo. :) I love this colour! I find it compliments a lot of other colours. (I've used it before here.) What colour combos do you love?! :) I was really loving this combo of blue, purple and pink! :)
Press Sample Nothing's better than coming home from a long day at work to find a package on your doorstep. Today, I found three bottles of Glam Polish from Color4Nails! As soon as I opened the package, I couldn't wait to get them on my nails. I've been wearing a lot of purples lately, so I decided to try Frankenslime first. This polish is part of the Graveyard Ghouls Trio. While it was released for Halloween, it's easily an all the time just for the fun of it color. Don't miss the full review and lots of pictures under the cut! ** All photos were taken in artificial light.** *One coat of Duri Rejuvacote was used as a base.* Frankenslime light green crelly base large and medium neon green hexes small and tiny purple metallic hexes small and tiny yellow green hexes Frankenslime two coats alone one coat Rica Glossy Glam Frankenslime This polish applied like a dream. I was surprised by how opaque it was in just two coats. I didn't have to fish for glitters at all. It was great! It had an average dry time and was pretty smooth on its own. I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam to top it off. Perfectly smooth and shiny! Frankenslime LOVE! Look at that giant neon green hex! It's thin enough that it doesn't stick up at all. The jelly like base encompasses it and makes it look like it's floating. The metallic purple glitters really set this off. They catch the light nicely. Frankenslime I usually wouldn't post a three finger swatch, but this picture really shows off the glitters nicely. What do you think about this polish? If you know me at all now, you know I'm always a fan of green and purple! Frankenslime is available in a full size 12mL bottle. It's available from Color4Nails for $12 plus shipping. Glam Polish "Indigo Sparkle"
Press Sample Glam Polish, an awesome Australian brand, is slowly taking over my indie collection. I'm completely okay with that! Today I have two shades from the Pixie Hollow collection to share with you. This collection is full of bright neons that are perfect to offset the snowy weather blues. Plus, you should keep in mind that it's not winter down under. Don't miss out on the full review and lots of great images under the cut! ** All photos were taken in artificial daylight.** Iridessa bright neon highlighter yellow tiny silver chrome glitter Iridessa three coats one coat Rica's Glossy Glam Iridessa This polish is slightly thick, but easy to manage. I used 3 coats because like most yellows, this one had visible nail line with just 2. It dried to a slightly satin finish so I added a coat of Glossy Glam to make it shiny. Iridessa I love the silver in this! I don't own any neons liks this. It's super bright in real life and pulls a little to the green side. It's a great addition to my collection. Vidia red leaning neon purple tiny silver chrome glitter Vidia two coats one coat Rica's Glossy Glam Vidia This had a similar formula to Iridessa, but it's a lot more opaque. I used two coats to achieve this look. It also dries slightly matte so I used one coat of Glossy Glam to smooth it over. Vidia This is my favorite of the duo! The silver glitter flecks take on a whole different look. Vidia leans a bit magenta on me, but I don't mind at all. I can't wait to use this as a pedicure color this spring! Iridessa and Vidia are available in full size 12mL bottles. It's available from Color4Nails for $12 plus shipping. Don't forget to like Color4Nails on Facebook for stock updates! Since that darned groundhog says we have six more weeks of winter, let's warm up with a trip to the tropics! Today I have Glam Polish's new Over the Rainbow collection, a set of special limited edition flakie polishes inspired by the beauty of Hawaii. Glam Polish Ohana Ohana (Family) is a ridiculously good-looking deep, rich wine-red jelly packed with iridescent red/orange-to-gold and green shifting flakies, strong gold shimmer, and a scattered holographic effect. Just, whoa. I mean, look at this color: it glows! It BURNS! Ugh, love!! Also it makes me think of sparkling molten lava, which totally keeps in theme. Ohana had an excellent formula with flawless application, and full coverage in 2-3 coats. Pictured here with three coats and Glam Polish Magic Shine Top Coat. Glam Polish Leilani Leilani (heavenly flower) is a deep eggplant jelly filled with iridescent blue/green-to-violet shifting flakies, iridescent violet shimmer, a soft linear holographic effect. Don't those green flakies look so cool against the deep violet? It makes me think of Maleficent with her violet robes and glowing green magic. The formula was excellent, and application was smooth and even. Leilani looked nicely opaque in 2-3 coats, depending on preference. Shown here is three coats with Glam Polish Magic Shine Top Coat. Glam Polish Hibiscus Hibiscus is a saturated coral-orange jelly full of multi-colored iridescent flakies, gold shimmer, and a scattered holographic effect. This is a stunning as well as a rather special polish to me, as it reminds me of my Grandmother who grew up in Hawaii and loved hibiscus and bright colors. I think she would have just adored this color! Application was superb; very smooth and even, and looked opaque in 2-3 coats. Shown here with three coats plus Glam Polish Magic Shine Top Coat. Glam Polish Moloka'i Moloka'i is a bright, blue-toned apple-green jelly packed with iridescent gold and orange to green shifting flakies and shimmer and a soft linear holographic effect. The jewel-like emerald color is just gorgeous! Another wonderful formula that applied flawlessly and with great coverage, looking opaque in about two coats. Pictured here with three coats and Glam Polish Magic Shine Top Coat. Glam Polish Nalu Nalu (surf) is a vivid cerulean-blue jelly filled with iridescent green/blue shifting flakies, iridescent turquoise-blue shimmer, and a scattered holographic effect. This bright, ocean-colored blue is a tropical paradise in a bottle! The formula was perfect and had great coverage in just two coats. Here I'm wearing three coats and Glam Polish's Magic Shine Top Coat. These bright, multi-faceted colors are a beautiful interpretation of lush and tropical Hawaii, and I love how Rachel incorporated the iridescent flakies that we all enjoy as toppers into these sparkling jellies. As the iridescent flakies in these polishes are no longer being made, these will be limited release colors. And they've just launched today, so make sure to pick up your faves before they're gone! My personal recommendations are Ohana and Hibiscus. Which are your favorites? Glam Polish Shop | International Stockists | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Products sent for my honest review. Hi guys! Do you remember earlier this year Glam Polish released the Knockout Collection, a collection of 6 with super sparkly micro glitter and ultra holo finish? Of course you do. I was drooling super hard over them, and they made it onto my wish list after this no-buy ended. Well, if the first one was good, the Knockout Collection part 2 is even better! This collection consists of four ultra holo shades and five ultra holo glitter. Below I have a brief description of all 9 shades, and swatches of 3 of them after the jump. SMASH! - Red Ultra Holo. ZOOM! - Bright Blue Ultra Holo. WOOSH! Lavender Ultra Holo. THWAAK! - Black Ultra Holo. WHAM! - Sterling Silver Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter. BOING! - Lilac Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter. POP! - Peach Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter. KRUNCH! Purple Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter. Zonk! Teal Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter. Don't you just love the names in this collection?! Other than just a one-word name, the nerd in me fantasize that I'm a superhero fighting villains in style with my uber sparkly nails. Lol! Pop! Peach Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter This bright peach is perfect in two coats. It leans a bit of orange on me, and looks brighter on nails than in the bottle. Shown with 1 coat of top coat. Boing! Lilac Holo with Ultra Holo Glitter This ultra sparkly brightlilac shade with a touch of pink also covers perfectly in two coats. Love this!! Shown with 1 coat of top coat. Whoosh! Lavender Ultra Holo. This one has more holo effect than these pics are showing you, very pretty even in indoor lighting. Shown 3 thin coats and top coat. I have no issues at all with all three shades, formula and application were perfect, these are something that you can always rely on from Glam Polish. The glitter shades only needed 1 coat of top coat for smooth finish. All 9 shades will be available from www.glampolish.com.au on May 6th, 2015, 6pm EST. Shipping will be available to Australia and USA. Shipping rate to USA is USD 3.50 for the first polish and USD 1.00 for each additional bottle. Hi guys! I have some more Glam Polish swatches to share with you today! :) These are all new glitter toppers so they're all in a clear base. Big Bang Theory Big Bang Theory is a mix of ALL CIRCLE GLITTERS. :D Circle glitters are just so awesome. There's pink, blue, green, yellow, silver (and probably more colours) circle glitters plus some silver micro glitter. Some of the glitters are holographic too. I was super excited about this polish because I love the Big Bang Theory TV show! :D (Fun fact: when this polish came in the mail I was wearing a Big Bang Theory tshirt!) I layered 1 coat of Big Bang Theory over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. It was a little hard to apply, since the circle glitters all wanted to clump together but nothing a little placement and moving the glitters around can't fix. :) The sun only came out long enough for me to snap ONE picture of this in the sun (above) so apologies if it's not a great photo haha. Lost Your Marbles? Lost Your Marbles is larger and medium holographic silver circle glitters with silver holographic micro glitter also! This would look good over any colour but I love pairing silver glitters like this with delicate colours. I layered one dabbed coat of Lost Your Marbles over OPI I Theodora You (plus top coat). I absolutely LOVE this combo! I shall be wearing it again soon! ;) Sexy and I Know It Sexy and I Know It (I work out! :P) is a little similar to Big Bang Theory, it has lots of multicoloured dot glitters and there's also some stars, hearts and diamonds in this one too! This one also has a gold micro glitter. Love it! I layered 1 coat of Sexy and I Know It over OPI Can't Find My Czechbook (plus top coat). The glitters (in particular the stars) did tend to feel a bit bumpy on the nail, depending on where they were placed on the nail but that's nothing an extra coat of top coat wouldn't have helped. Vegas Baby Vegas Baby is an awesome mix of neon glitters as well as white and black in all different shapes and sizes! Glam Polish does neon glitters soo well in my opinion! I've layered 1 coat of Vegas Baby over Lime Crime Parfait Day (plus top coat). Love this combo too :D This would also look great over a white or white-ish colour. :) Sorry I don't have any sun photos of this polish, since it's now winter here the sun is always gone. :( I love Glam Polish as you probably know and these are some of my fave polishes from them I've tried! :) They're all so versatile and could be worn over almost any polish! Have a great weekend everyone! ♥ (And for most of us in Aus, it's a long weekend, WOOHOO). Today I have a very special collection of limited edition flakie crellies from Glam Polish to share with you all! These beauties go on sale tonight, in like, less than an hour, so have a look and find out which your favorites are! Formula Overview These crellies are designed to look semi-translucent to allow the iridescent flakies and sparkle to show through. They aren't as pigmented or opaque, and instead offer a beautifully soft and delicate look, and a "squishy" effect. The formulas are all similar to one another, with a smooth and even application. I found I achieved the best coverage starting with two thinner coats, followed by a third thicker coat. If I had any patchy areas, it was very easy to brush on a little extra to even out. My photos show three coats with top coat. I don't recommend more than 3-4 coats as the polish will start to look too thick, however these could easily layer over a creme with a similar base color. Glam Polish Tutu Cute! Tutu Cute! is a cotton candy-pink pastel crelly with a medley of iridescent color-shifting flakies, gold sparkle, and a sprinkle of holographic glitter dust. The perfect ballerina pink with a touch of whimsy and sparkle! Glam Polish Dance First Think Later Dance First Think Later is a lavender crelly full of iridescent blue-to-violet iridescent shifting flakies, pink sparkle, and subtle holographic glitter dust. Very soft and sweet, and I love the blue iridescence alongside the lavender. Glam Polish This is All Pointless This is All Pointless is a bright pastel cornflower blue crelly with iridescent green-to-violet shifting flakies and a hint of holographic glitter dust. This is another favorite of mine; the soft yet bright shade of blue is sooo crazy-gorgeous! Glam Polish Leap of Faith Leap of Faith is a bright pastel aqua crelly filled with a medley of iridescent color-shifting flakies and a light smattering of holographic glitter dust. This might just be favorite of the whole collection! It's like wearing a perfectly clear, tropical ocean on your fingertips, plus those magical rainbow flakes! Glam Polish You Keep Me on My Toes You Keep Me on My Toes is a medium-grey crelly full of iridescent blue-to-violet shifting flakies and subtle holographic glitter dust. Such a beautiful combination of colors, and so perfectly sheer and delicate. Glam Polish Tiny Dancer Tiny Dancer is a bright pastel peachy-coral crelly filled with iridescent orange-to-green shifting flakies, gold sparkle, and a touch of holographic glitter dust. This is one of my favorite colors for Summer, and I love how the gold flakies pop! Glam Polish Swan Lake Swan Lake has a clear base filled with genuine white gold leaf flakes, iridescent blue-violet shifting flakies, and holographic glitter dust. I personally prefer this topper over medium-dark colors to get the full effect of the iridescent flakies, plus then those gorgeous silver flakes really stand out! Here I'm wearing two coats over a gradient with Maybelline Ultra Violet, an orchid pink creme, and Revlon Enchanting, a lavender creme. Gently roll the bottle to mix so as not to break up the silver flakes. These colors are all just so lovely. The sheer base and iridescent flakies give them an airy, whimsical, and beautifully delicate effect, perfectly reminiscent of a graceful ballet dancer. As Glam Polish has a limited supply of the ingredients needed for these, there will be a limit of one bottle of each color per customer for this collection, and only a small quantity is available. So don't wait to pick up your favorites as they might disappear! This special, limited edition launches today at 8pm EST. This could be my favorite Glam Polish collection to date! Take a look at the new "Gleek" collection, a set of bright, fun, and ultra-sparkly colors inspired by the show "GLEE" that just might make you break into song and dance! Formula Overview: All of the linear holographic colors had similarly flawless formulas with smooth, even application and looked fully opaque in about two coats. The holographic micro-glitter colors were also very much alike, with a perfect consistency that achieved full-coverage in two coats. All photos are shown with 2-3 coats plus top coat. Glam Polish Take a Bow Take a Bow is a cornflower blue linear holographic with tiny pink & gold glass flecks. This was definitely a favorite of mine, I just love periwinkle-blues and the smattering of pink sparks really set it off! The holographic effect is also stronger in person than in my photos (the sun did not want to fully participate that day.) Glam Polish Bohemian Rhapsody Bohemian Rhapsody is a raspberry-pink holographic full of silver ultra-holographic micro-glitter. Oh, this color! This is such a flattering berry shade, and do you see all of the glorious rainbow sparkles?! Phenomenal! Glam Polish Girl on Fire Girl on Fire is a salmon-colored linear holographic with metallic orange shimmer and tiny pink & gold glass flecks. I honestly had no idea I could love a reddish-orange color this much! It's the perfect balance of coral, red and fiery orange-- so gorgeous! Glam Polish RESPECT RESPECT is a lavender-violet holographic full of silver ultra-holographic micro-glitter. I love this color purple, and it sparkles like crazy! Glam Polish Take on Me Take on Me is a warm, blush-pink linear holographic packed with metallic pink shimmer and pink & gold glass flecks. This is a really sweet, bubblegum pink color perfect for Summer! And the holographic effect is very intense. Glam Polish Rehab Rehab is a turquoise holographic full of silver ultra-holographic micro-glitter. Exquisite shade of turquoise with intense rainbow sparkle-- yes please! Glam Polish True Colors True Colors is a lavender-pink linear holographic filled with strong iridescent blue-to-pink shifting shimmer & glass flecks. I still can't decide if this color is lavender or pink, it's somewhere right in-between, and is just lovely. The holographic effect is super strong, too! Glam Polish River Deep, Mountain High River Deep, Mountain High is a coral-rose holographic full of silver ultra-holographic micro-glitter. This polish leans more red in color than Girl on Fire, and is what I'd call a "true" coral that has this awesome retro pin-up vibe. This was another surprise favorite, It's beautiful and very flattering! Glam Polish Firework Firework is a jade green linear holographic filled with small aqua & blue glass flecks. This beauty is totally unique to my collection, it's right in-between emerald and teal, and it's absolutely breathtaking! If you're looking for bright, sparkling colors to dazzle your nails this Summer, look no further! I'm completely in love with all of these polishes, and their perfect formulas! The new "Gleek" collection as well as the "Think Pink" trio are launching today at 8PM EST, and will be available at Glam Polish's shop. Which are your favorites? Will you be picking any up at the launch today? Glam Polish Shop | International Stockists | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Products sent for my honest review.
