Welcome to my blog! Today I'm sharing a card I created using a watercolor technique with the Humming Along Bundle.. The images in this stamp set are perfect for watercoloring. I used my Aqua Painter with Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue & Night of Navy inks. Did you know... No ink refills? No problem! You can take an acrylic block, press it onto your inkpad then take the ink directly from the block, which becomes your palette. For the background, I made a light wash in the center of the card with Balmy Blue. When that was dry, I took a drop of Night of Navy ink mixed with a little water and used an old toothbrush and a table knife to flick spots of it across the page. This card has a lot of bling! The hummingbird & hibiscus are brushed with Wink of Stella, in addition to Silver Metallic Thread and some self-adhesive sequins. The hummingbird & the sentiment are mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals. The Humming Along Bundle is only available until June 3 (or while supplies last). The Hummingbird Framelits dies have 2 unique elements that make it a great set to own - specifically the beautiful die-cut pattern on the card front and the lovely shape that the sentiment is stamped on. We are down to the final days of the the 2018-2019 Annual and 2019 Occasions Catalogs. While I am always excited to have amazing new ink, paper and stamps to play with, it's always hard to say good-by to some of my favorites! Humming Along is one that I am certainly going to miss! I love the images and sentiments in this stamp set! I started out by stamping the beautiful flowers in Smoky Slate. I was going to color each of the flowers, but after coloring the first one, I decided to stop and let the focus be on the humming bird. I love how this turned out! Supplies Used: Paper ~ Balmy Blue, Whisper White Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Mango Melody Stamp Set ~ Humming Along Other Supplies ~ Iridescent Sequins You still have a few more days to purchase this stamp set...and don't forget the coordinating framlits {like I did!}. Have a fantastic Friday! Happy Stamping!

It's time for another CASE the Designer Challenge with the Global Design Project. There are so many places to find inspiration for the projects we make - I love the opportunity to create a project that's inspired by the art of my fellow team members on GDP. Always a joy!

Hi! Its time once again for this week's Colour Creations Blog Share. This week we are looking at Lovely Lipstick. It's a colour I haven't used much as it intimidates me a bit! I can't decide if it's a red or a pink! What do you think? Today's card definitely leans towards pink. What ever you think, it's bold colour, and so I toned it down a little with a layer of vellum. I have used a stamp set that was an All Attendee gift at OnStage, called Humming Along. It will be available from January when the Occasions Catalogue goes live. Isn't the flower gorgeous? It's a lovely big bloom, just right for colouring. Does anyone know the type of flower? I'm a bit horticulturally challenged! EDIT: My friend Rachel tells me it's a hibiscus! When we are at OnStage we get to see a lot of different stamping presentations. One which really stuck with me was Dale Hampshire's presentation on colouring for people who have problems with holding markers - maybe they have shaky hands, as Dale does. I've been thinking off and on about other ways to colour. I decided to give smooshing as a method of colouring a go, and I was quite pleased with the results. Do you remember how to smoosh? You basically just transfer some ink to a clear block, spritz with some water, pick up the watery ink with a bendable plastic sheet and then smoosh the sheet onto your cardstock. This time I stamped first in Stazon ink so that my outline wouldn't run. I was then able to be a bit more selective about where on my Shimmery White cardstock I smooshed each colour (Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive and Mango Melody). It looks quite messy like this, doesn't it? Look closer though - the water and the way you bend the plastic help to create colour variations in the different parts of the flower and leaves. It's not a perfect way of colouring, but it's not meant to be! Take a look at how it ends up once it's fussy cut (BTW: there's a gorgeous set of dies to match the stamp set, but I don't have them yet!): I was so pleased with the results, and I can't wait to try it with my class ladies! It really is a cheat's watercolouring. I finished off the inside with another of the blooms and a strip of DSP left from the front. The sentiment comes from the Varied Vases set. You may be interested to know that there's a new stamp set to match the lunch in the Occasions Catalogue too! Why not pop on over to Catherine's blog, where you'll find the rest of this week's Lovely Lipstick cards? It's a bold colour, and I can't wait to see what the other girls have done with it. Bye for now, Tina

So many ideas ran through my head for this week's oval-focused sketch at Global Design Project. There are so many ways to use an oval - I decided to let the oval play a background to the gorgeous hummingbird in Humming Along Bundle. Bright, bold colors were a perfect contrast
Now y'all know I'm not one to blend with two shades a ton. I love to use my blending markers to just color one layer, but rarely take the time it takes to make gorgeous, blended projects with them. I have friends like Elizabeth Mayfield-Hart and Erica Cerwin who can make magic with them, but I'm more quick and dirty with em. Dang! When I saw this card in the Stampin' Up catalog I knew I had to try it, and I am pleased with the results! I got together with the leaders of my team and did a catalog case swap. We copied cards straight from the gorgeous Occasions Catalog and this one was a challenge, but a stunner. I used the new Humming Along bundle with the stamps and framelits and NEW Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow blends combo packs. The Stampin' Blends colors I used were Smoky Slate (annual catalog), Mossy Meadow(Occasions Catalog), Balmy Blue (Occasions Catalog) and Pumpkin Pie (annual catalog) blends bundles Did you see that pockety framelit? that's what I used to make the holes in the watercolor paper. I used a shim to make it cut all the way through. Worth it, don't you think? I did a watercolor wash with Balmy Blue on the watercolor layer. You better bet I also used my magnetic platform to BigShot those suckers since I spent many minutes coloring each one! Don't forget the other stunner in the set, the hibiscus. Is that a hibiscus? If not, tell me in the comments here! Does that lower card look familiar? Catch me on FB live this week Wednesday at 9pm on "papermadeprettierclub" FB group for a project using this bundle and also a gander at the card were are making with this bundle at Stamp Technique club this weekend. CARD This is one of my favorite stamp sets in the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog, and I know I share this love with Veronica Zalis. She designed this beautiful hummingbird card. This is the Humming Along stamp sets and Hummingbird framelit dies. The bird is colored with the Stampin' Blends markers. The label comes from the Stitched Labels dies.
