After being away on vacation, it was wonderful to spend the evening with my friends during my Facebook Live presentation tonight. I created three beautiful projects using the Artistically Inked Bundle. If you missed the presentation, you can catch the replay here. Artistically Inked is my all-time favorite bundle to date. I love the entire suite. The stamp set has great images with matching and complimenting dies. But, the star of the show is the stunning Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. I used Magenta Madness and Gold Foil Sheets to create this trio. The Expressions

I'm loving this new Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper with it's marble artistic look and the small flecks of gold here and there. Simply Beautiful! This has to be one of the quickest and prettiest cards I have ever made. I basically cut a piece of Expressions In Ink 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4" x 4" and glued it to a piece of White Cardstock card base (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"). The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set. Add some Champagne Rhinestones for bling and DONE! Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper - Item #155464
Yesterday I shared a pretty simple card using the Artistically Inked bundle and the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper. So today I am stepping it us and making another card using those same things but adding some extra layers. Here is what I came up with… The card base is Pear Pizzazz cardstock that is cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”. I then took a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” and I embossed that layer using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder. I then cut a piece of Brushed Metallics to 2 ¾ x 4” and a piece of the Expressions in Ink DSP to 2 5/8 x 3 7/8” and adhered them together. I centered that layer on my card. I then used the die for the leaves from the Artistically Inked Bundle and cut it out using the Brushed Metallics as well. To adhere this to the card the easiest thing to do with these little fine pieces is to take some of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue and pour it out on the Silicone Craft mat (the best part about this mat is that any adhesive, including hot glue will just peel off once it has dried, I think this is a must have in every craft room) and use a Dauber to daube the ink on and then just add it to the card as shown above. For my sentiment I stamped “thanks” which is from the stamp set in the bundle onto Basic White cardstock using Just Jade Ink. I die cut the sentiment out using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies (remember if you don’t have the die, you can always just cut it out). I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it. What’s life without something a bit peculiar, a bit weird, or straight-up surrealistically absurd? You know, some might even say that keeping your thoughts on the irregular is a kind of coping mechanism for the unexplained happening in your life. Like a plant dying the week after you bought it, the curve of success going all topsy-turvy, and your moods reflecting the temperature of global events. One way to keep your mind focused on the naturally supernatural is getting a cool trippy tattoo, so whenever you feel a bit discombobulated, you can look at an acid-washed, neon-colored, pleasantly disfigured Cheshire cat smiling at you from, say, your shin. So, if you’ve opened this article to look at some trippy tattoo ideas, you’re definitely in the right place at the right time.

Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by! A CASE of a card we did in class last week using the colors from the Color Hues Challenge. I probably would have never thought to use these colors together, but I really like them. And I think my niece will like them too! The ladies in the class and I love how this stamp makes the flower and leaves look like watercolor without any water. On this card, I added a little blue watercolor pencil over the tan leaves to blend them in with the flowers. Card Recipe Stamps: Artistically Inked (SU), Sketched Flowers (SSS) Ink: Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake Paper: Naturals White (ret SU), Natural (MFT), Neenah Solar White Other: Artistic Dies (SU), Timeworn Type 3D EF (SU), Caran d'ache Supracolor Pencil (blue) Enjoy! “What I am looking for is not happiness. I work solely because it is impossible for me to do anything else.” That’s how Alberto Giacometti summed it up, as told by James Lord in Giacometti: A Biography, published in 1997.
Squeezing another one in at the last moment! I had the chance to work on this week's challenge while the kids played in the pool in the evening and I had run out of the homework type things I had brought to do. It was kind of fun. I had to make up my own because I was never near the computer to look up the suggestions Maria had made in the original Zentangle blog post about it. A few are other grid-based tangles that sprang to mind so you may see some familiar's in there. I think my favorite is the archway pattern at the bottom. I also drew them out individually on the right so they can be seen in the simplest form. That is about all I've done besides homework and kids activities this week. We (hubby and I) managed a baseball practice, two games, two cross country practices (one thanks to a neighbor), a gymnastics lesson, one trip to the water park truncated by a thunderstorm and a couple of evening swims in the neighborhood pool on top of a 40+ work week and 4 days of 4 hour classes with accompanying homework. Sometimes it helps to write it all out or it doesn't seem like we accomplish much each week despite running around like headless chickens!

I think the best way to come up with new drawing ideas is to look at other artist's work. It's hard to come up with new ideas every day, so I thought that you might like some black and white ink drawings and illustrations inspiration. The following inspirational ink drawings will open your mind to new possibilities in sketching and drawing with pens, ink, and markers. Yes, I put in some drawings that aren't black and white, but they are still one color drawings using ballpoint pens. Here are more than 50 inspirational pen and ink drawings, art and illustration ideas.
