This cake recipe is my go-to Red Velvet sponge roll, but instead of rolling it up, I've used a pastry ring to cut the sponge sheet into 3" stackable rounds. The rounds are filled with a light whipped cream and cream cheese mixture, then topped off with a little more of the same.

This is the other card we made Saturday. I was inspired by Patty Bennett's coloring and wanted to recreate it on a simple to make card. On a quarter sheet of Whisper White, we stamped the cake and cake plate on the lower right, leaving room for the die cut Stitched Label and Stitched Rectangle greeting. Helpful hint: Use the Cake Builder Punch on a scrap of cardstock and save it in your stamp set as a guide for lining up the stamps - you can get both the cake and the plate stamped at the same time and it will fit the punch perfectly! We die cut the Stitched Label, then stamped the greeting and used a Rectangle Stitched Framelit to cut it out. The floral cake topper was stamped directly on the label (about 1/8" from the stitches at the top) and colored with Stampin' Blends. After coloring the cake and plate, they were punched and glued under the cake topper. The Stitched Label was adhered to a Subtle Dynamic embossed piece of Pool Party (3-5/8" x 4-7/8") with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The whole thing was adhered to the card base and the greeting was popped up on dimensionals, too. If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd be happy to send you the new catalog - just contact me! Hi everyone, sorry I am bit late today in posting my Tuesday Challenge Project. I cannot believe that it is already week 30 of my little challenge that I set myself to make a card or project using products from the Annual Catalogue. Stamp sets of choice this week are Piece of Cake and Artisan Textures. I also used the matching Cake Builder Punch and the Stitched Rectangles for the sentiment. I really like the Artisan Textures stamp set for creating backgrounds. For this card I stamped the large solid image twice using Blushing Bride ink (stamped off once) and the dotted image twice using Smoky Slate ink (stamped off once). I then added some little hearts from the Piece of Cake stamp set stamped with Blushing Bride ink. The cake and cake stand were stamped using Black Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends Lovely Lipstick (light and dark), Mango Melody (dark), Old Olive (dark), Smoky Slate (light and dark) and Basic Black (light). These images were then punched out using the Cake Builder punch. The sentiment was White heat embossed before being cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. Some Silver Metallic Thread and Rhinestones were added to finish the card. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. Carolyn Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest Tuesday Challenge #30
