Drawing something with one single line, letting the pen just roam over the paper, can be really fun—and liberating! It also often yields beautiful results that look good when framed and hung on a wall, or as a tattoo, or as a social media post. The additional benefit is that you can often create many in a day. There are communities online where you can find beautiful examples.

I have come to love the month of January! The holiday season comes to a close, the calendar opens up, the weather is chilly, and it is a perfect time to get back in the studio. Every year I try to take an extraneous class, just for fun and enrichment. Last year I took a class on portraits. This year the class is about learning from the masters. In fitting style, the first projects have to do with the renaissance. So here is my spirit orb renaissance lady. This was so much fun to do and I am really looking forward to the future classes. The class is a facebook class and called Let's Face It 2018 for anyone interested in participating. It is very well coordinated! Of course, I am continually working on my current series and will post the works as I finish them. There are several shows and prospects in line for this year, so back to work. (but it is not really work if you love doing it...right?).
Coal India in Assam purchased four 'B' class 2'0" gauge locomotives from the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in 1968. Ex DHR 784, built by Sharp Stewart of Manchester in 1903, was at work at the Tipong mine on 24 January 1979.
Now this is a "Wow!" card. Of course I had to include it in the January Fun Folds class. This Pop-Up Block Card design was popularised by Lisa Curcio and her daughter, Gina Hawley. They work as a demonstrator team in the U.S., which I think is so fun! My kids like to make cards occasionally, but they've
Perennial Lavender Framed Art I finally got to create another project with the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. The first class, I made cards at my Winter Retreat. This time, it is all about the FRAMED ART! I choose two colors for the squares and then used 2 more colors, a shade darker for accent work. I hope you will love the Perennial Lavendar Framed Art so much that you will want to create your own. Class is ready! In January, I started hosting a monthly class on a Sunday. Each month it's been something different. January, customers
