I’ve always been fascinated by black lights, the beauty of the human body, the world around me and the ability to create and express myself through art. However, it wasn’t until boredom set in, after being stuck in wedding a portrait photography for more than twenty years, that all of these ingredients unexpectedly collided creating what I call “Bodyscapes”. I’m now affectionately referred to as “The Bob Ross of Black Light Body Painting”, because of my style and the types of scene I choose to paint on the human canvas.

During lockdown I couldn’t do anything: I couldn’t think, I couldn’t plan, I wasn’t inspired, I completely lost my motivation. Life became a waiting game. Waiting for the confinement to be over. So as soon as the restrictions were lifted and photographers were allowed to work in their studios I invited few people to do creative sessions. In these new series featuring mostly dancers, I continue my exploration of the human form through light and body language. This image is now available as an open edition fine art print.
Photography has many tips and tricks of the trade used both by amateurs and famous photographers - the many uses of light, perspective, darkness, exposure, and many other bits are what makes beautiful pictures.
