Hello Crafty Friends! This is a Winter Wonderland Loaded Envelope for practice....of course....it's my first one!!! I loved doing it. Please check out the Loaded Envelopes Galore Facebook page by Ana Elda Torres for swaps and ideas! These are a lot of fun to make. This loaded envelope is going to a non-paper crafting friend. It's loaded with stationery type things to use on presents-like tags, cards, and decorations. My love for deer/forest/snow themed crafting is carrying over with me this year.....lol If that is appealing to you as well, I suggest you check out the Ice Crystals paper pad at Michael's this year for inspiration. It's just full of beautiful dear, ice blue colors, and snowflakes! HaHa.....check out this owl, isn't he cute!!! Oh my gosh, I fell in love with him. He's supposed to be a tree ornament, but I got something up my sleeve with him. Just in case your wondering, he came from Hobby Lobby. This is the card I made to go with my loaded envelope. Don't you just love how everything coordinates! If you are interested in seeing whats included inside the envelope, what brand dies used, and more detailed looks; please see the video below. Hello lovelies,I am Sharni Haines from Australia, welcome to our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month we are loading envelopes! Yes, that's correct, we are making pockets and filling them with happiness. This is quite the craze at the moment, and I am so excited to be actually making my very first one! There are no rules as to what and how you do it. There are a lot of different ways, I think personally, the technique and design is individual, but the out come is the same...to fill a personal ha

Hi all. It's TGIF Challenge time again and yes, I know it's Saturday here in Australia but the bonus of a worldwide challenge is that it's still Friday somewhere in the world, so technically I'm not late. Right? Anyway, here is this weeks challenge and it's a fun one. Confession time, until being set this challenge I had no idea what a Loaded Envelope was and it took me some time get my head around the concept. Luckily one of my talented TGIF friends, Elizabeth Price had created a gorgeous Christmas loaded envelope late last year and recorded a video tutorial of how she constructed the envelope. (See Elizabeth's post here). Using Elizabeth's tutorial as a starting point here is what I came up with. One of my daughters has a birthday coming up and her gift from us is tickets to a musical and a night away in Melbourne so I decided a loaded envelope would be a super special way of packaging her gift, as well as adding a couple of extra little birthday treats. The Friendly Hello DSP was my colour combo inspiration and as my daughter has asked to have an Ice Cream Parlour themed party, I decided to carry the theme across to her gift by using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and Ice Cream Builder Punch. The only problem I had was once I was inspired I had too many ideas to fit in my envelope so I altered the envelope by adding a second large pocket to the back . Once my envelope was constructed I moved on to making an card that doubled as a holder for the tickets. I've added a panel on the inside to record our message and then a pocket on the other side to slide the tickets in. Next up it was time to package up some birthday treats and since my daughters favourite treat is mint chocolate a chocolate block wrapper was a must have. The Pale Papaya Ombre Gift Bags coordinated beautifully with the Friendly Hello DSP and I've added some texture with the Hive 3D Embossing folder. To access the chocolate you just simply pull on the ribbon at the top and the block just slides out. After mint chocolate, Skittles are my daughter second favourite treat and they now come in a cute little box, that was super easy to wrap in another deconstructed Ombre Gift Bag and to reduce bulk I kept the embellishments fairly simple by just adding a Heart & Home Doily and a little ribbon. While I was out shopping for goodies to put in the envelope I stumbled across a Pale Papaya coloured pen, the perfect addition, so of course a covered notebook was also required. So as you can see the possibilities for a loaded envelope are almost endless. To see what the rest of the team have created, make sure you head over the TGIF Challenges blog and then why not have a go at creating your own loaded envelope. Trust me you are going to have lots of fun with this one. - Tan xx
Front Yesterday here in the U. S. we celebrated Valentine's Day and I want to share my first take on the loaded envelope concept. I discovered them on You Tube and I knew I wanted to make one with a Valentine theme. It is chock full and as you'll see the goodies and handmade embellishments spilled over. ;) This is a photo heavy post so let's get started. You can see the front of my loaded envelope above and here is what the back looks like below. Back {more on it later} The base of my loaded envelope is a kraft clasp 6 x 9 envelope. I removed the silver clasp and decorated the front and back with Echo Park's Yours Truly paper collection. I bought the set that came with matching cardstock stickers and I love it. Some of my favorite Valentine themed paper ever! I created 3 pockets on the front using various designer papers and embellishing each layer with washi tape, stickers from the YT collection, punched elements-cupid and hearts, die cuts and round cardstock stickers by MAMBI. The pockets were loaded with ephemera from the YT collection, die cut hearts by Verve, and vellum gift packs with assorted punched and die cut images. I tucked in a flair flower button and heart paper clips as well. A silver Heidi Swapp glitter bow sticker makes an appearance on the second pocket and I cut a black doily border for the top 2 pockets with MS's doily border punch. You can see (lower left) a handmade bookmark which I tucked into the middle pocket. I also included die cuts by Echo Park, Tim Holtz and Verve Stamps for her to use as well. The small vellum packets were made by using scrap pieces, folding them in half and adding washi tape to seal the edges. I used a paint chip sample to make the bookmark, cut it to size and added some die cut embellishments and gifted her a vintage resin pink button which she can use for future projects. She's an avid reader so I think she'll like her bookmark. :) As a fan of Hello Kitty I thought she'd like this button and I added a charm by The Girl's Paperie (no longer open for biz) which I have hoarded saved forever for the right person. :) I tucked my handmade paper wand into the top opening pocket and I'll share below how I made the rosette. I layered a cupcake liner, crepe paper rosette, die cut doily and 3D rosette sticker on the front. A paper straw was used for the wand and I added pretty ribbon and trim to finish it. I wanted a large rosette for the base of my wand so I used my score board and trimmed a dp to 3" wide by 12" long. I scored every 1/4" and then punched one edge with a MS border punch. You can do this step in either order. I used two 3" x 12" strips to create this rosette. A 2" punched circle holds the front of the rosette together and a 3.5" punched circle gives the back some stability and provides a base to add a punched or die cut decorative base for the back. I highly recommend using glue to adhere the two strips together as well as the punched bases. It's stronger and will hold up better over time, just a tip. ;) I made a stack of rosettes using paper, cupcake liners and crepe paper. For the crepe paper rosettes I added a border of silver Stickles to one side, let it dry thoroughly then folded in accordion style and fanned it into a circle shape. I punched two circles and added one to each side for stability. Super easy to create and very therapeutic as well. They were made while binge watching Midsomer Murders on Netflix. :) I gifted my friend a paper rosette and added a die cut doily for her to use on future projects. The tag on the front is from the Yours Truly collection and I trimmed a dp from the collection to use in my packaging. It serves a dual purpose making the package pretty and she can use it for a future project. In the back of the package I included various die cut doilies and hearts cut from papers in my stash. The cupcake liners were placed in recycled packaging and I added a band of washi tape to the top along with more dp's from the paper collection. It was as much fun dressing up the gift packs as it was decorating the loaded envelope! The candy brad on the sequin packet is from Doodlebug and I included some paper napkins for her since she likes those too. The sequins are a mix from Verve Stamps and the colors are perfect for Valentine themed projects. Using a dp from the collection and a doily border punch by MS I created pretty packaging for the sequin mix. I also included some paper cut to 6 x 6 size for her to use, stuffed some candy conversation hearts into a heart clam shell package which I ordered a while back from Taylored Expressions. A Valentine ziploc bag holds all of her chocolate treats and it wouldn't be Valentine's Day without a little chocolate. Would it? I think not! Hope you enjoyed my share today, if you did or have questions please leave me a comment below. I'm afraid I've been a bit of an absentee blogger this year, it has already seen its share of sickness with colds and now the darling daughter has the flu. First time for her and unfortunately she has a really bad case of it. I'm here with her now to help her out and ensure my furry grandbaby is taken care of as well. Praying I can stay strong and not succumb to it, seems everyone around here is down with the flu. :( Hugs, Lisa

Welcome to October's Stampin Sunday Blog Hop I had great fun creating this month's project. It's a stuffed envelope, well, I made it slightly bigger than your average envelope so I could pack lots of goodies in. When I did a search on the internet for what one was, there was such an amazing variety of creative ideas. The idea I latched onto was to decorate or gather useful items to put in a fun paper pocket. I started off with 2 pieces of 6" wide DSP, they were then folded and cut to create a layered pocket. I gathered some colour co-ordinated teabags and sweets and bagged them up. These are a decorated notebook, a book mark and some sticky notes. I then couldn't resist making some fun paperclip toppers, by the way the paper clips are quite large, about 3" long. Here is the pocket envelope stuffed with all the goodies, ready to give as a fun gift. To see how I put the pocket together have a look at this short video Isn't it adorable? I look forward to making more of these. For more fabulous inspiration please check out the other hoppers here... I created a cut file (you can get it in the video linked below) so that you can make one with your Cricut or Silhouette. I made this one with the Cricut Explore . You can pick up an explore for as low as $139. If you use code MELODYLANE at check out you can take an additional 15% off of that and get free shipping! I love, love, LOVE how the Cricut Glitter Paper cuts. It's perfect for all digital die cutting machines. It doesn't flake, it doesn't dull your blade and it cuts like butter! Ready for a HOW TO Video? I added a few things to this bag after I filmed the video. You can see the added touches in the photos above.
Surprise! Another Loaded Envelope! This time the theme was FLORAL. I am not really a "flower"-type of girl, but I thought I'd give this Shabby look a try. This is the front. And the backside. I was mostly happy with how this turned out. With all of the stash I have, can you believe I really didn't own any flowers? Seriously! I had to go out and buy flowers just for this project. I found some beautiful flowers at Hobby Lobby. You know, I love my pinks. I only bought two small packages of flowers and then I just separated them. I love to add lots of textures and layers to my projects. Some eyelash trim, rosettes, seam binding, pearls. I loved how the half rosette turned out! It wasn't planned, but as I was assembling it, I stopped half way through and thought... that's kinda cute! I love it when things like that happen. Here are some photos of a few of the goodies inside. Thanks so much for stopping by! I have more loaded envelopes coming soon!

Tutorials for beautiful paper crafting projects, junk journals, & freebie printables - all with vintage style! From My Porch Prints.
Hello my friends, thanks for stopping by. I have something different to share with you today. Its a loaded envelope on the shabby chic side. I ran across a you tube tutorial of the loaded envelope and decided to give it a try. I am going to be honest, I didn't understand the concept of the loaded envelope. After making one I realized its a way to pack some goodies for friend mail. Similar to the pocket letter trend or flip book trend. I started with a 6x9 envelope and cut it down the middle at 3 inches to give it that fold over look. I then decorated the envelope with papers from my stash. I used a mixture of prima and wild orchid craft flowers to decorate the outside. I added a pocket and used a Martha Stewart border punch to give it some additional details. I used several dies from my stash to create the tags. I created different size envelopes using my envelope punch board to tuck inside that includes goodies for a friend. The sentiment is from a vellum sticker by Anna Griffin. I love the way this turned out and see many more in my future. Hope this inspires you to create something beautiful. Happy Crafting!
