Hello all! Today i'm here with a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to go for a baby card that i have send out to a niece, she just became a mom of a beautiful little boy called Tobias. Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. Voor deze week heb ik een kaart die ik maakte voor een nichtje van mij die een aantal weken geleden bevallen is van een zoon Tobias. So i cut a topfold A2 seize card (10,7 x 14) out of Kraft cardstock. Out of Smooth White cardstock i cut the scalloped panel from Blueprints 27 Die-Namics, i cut it twice as i decorated the inside this time also. Cut all the babyclothes, letters and accessories out of Kraft, Naturel, Berrylicious and Tropical Teal cardstock. Glued them together and added some details using a white gelpen. Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and cut it using a banner die. On the inside i stamped another sentiment. I had some left over die cuts so i used that to decorate the inside of the card. Aan de binnenzijde stempelde ik nog een tekst. Ik had nog wat stansen over en gebruikte deze om de binnenkant te versieren. Have a lovely day! Greets, Marieke

Welcome to the gateway to the weekend! We hope you've had an amazing week, and now it's time for some fun. Ready to get inspired? Let's do it! Color is your friend, my friends, and what could be better than the vibrant and happy colors of the rainbow? The spectrum of delicious hues all lined up one after another is sure to put a smile on your face. Let's take a trip over the rainbow with a fun array of colorful inspiration! Search for the word rainbow on Pinterest, and you'll be dazzled by the wealth of vivid images you'll find there. Take a look at a few of my fun finds from one such search: Rainbow Dress via SalvageLife on Etsy Tower of Macarons via Annie's Eats Rainbow Wedding via Jim Kennedy Photographers Rainbow Order Bookshelf via Chatelaine Rainbow Eyeshadow via pumpkincat210 on Flickr Rainbow Things via Betty Jo Designs on Flickr Eeek! So fun, right? It makes me want to get crafty right this very instant! It should come as no surprise that My Favorite Things is up on this delightful trend and has several totally fabulous products that will help you take the rainbow from the sky to your paper projects. Torico desaturated the rainbow in her sweet pastel card using the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and the Color the Rainbow and Stitched Rainbow Die-namics. Keisha switched up the order of the traditional rainbow in her sunny and colorful card. I love how she framed all of that color in stark black and white. Francine went horizontal and graphic with this bold homage to the rainbow. The silhouette of the New York Skyline looks downright amazing against all of that brilliant color! Pretty inspiring! It makes me want to organize stuff in color order and create. I love color! Before you go, take a look at a few of the fun colorful and rainbow themed things you can buy at the My Favorite Things online store! Simply click on the photo to be taken directly to the product. If the product is currently out of stock, you can sign up for an email notification once it's back in stock! InLinkz.com Here's to a creative weekend!
Hello, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It’s a great sketch with SO many possibilities!! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then cut a smaller panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, popped it up on foam mounting tape, and drew lines around it free hand as a border with a fine point marking pen. Next I cut a bunch of Falling Leaves Die-namics from In the Buff card stock, Grout Gray card stock, and Sno Cone card stock and sponged the edges with Grout Gray dye ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool and adhered them to the card front with hot glue. I stamped the sentiment, from DC Thankful Leaves, on Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice dye ink, layered it on Black Licorice card stock, adhered it on the leaves and it was done! And that’s it! I love those soft colors for a Fall card so much!! Thanks for stopping by! See you soon! Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. I had to ponder a bit before I decided to use hearts for those two round elements, but once I did my design came together. I used Stitched Heart STAX Die-namics to make a stencil, then sponged them with Wild Cherry dye ink. Next I stamped the hearts with Well-Connected Alphabet and Black Licorice dye ink and popped it up on the card base with foam mounting tape after adding some Black and White Basics Paper Pack, Wild Cherry card stock, and Brushed Cold card stock accents to the top and bottom of the base. I added LLD Stitched Alphabet Die-namics for the “&” and lots of little hearts cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics. The sentiment, from Essential Sentiments, was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then popped up on foam tape. And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week! She is back today with one last November Sketch Challenge. Thanks so much for joining us, Lisa! Lisa turned the sketch on its side and created a gorgeous winter landscape full of color and cuteness! The brightly colored images take center stage against the snowy night sky in the background while the added pops of pink and yellow add interest and really makes her card design shine. Torico positioned the sketch elements on the right side of her card and created a stacked pile of party animals ready for a birthday celebration. The added foam adhesive behind all of her characters adds a fun and playful look over the stamped background design. Debbie created a set of peek-a-boo windows on her card front, with an adorable trio of cute penguins hidden behind each one. The patterned paper background is a quick and easy way to dress up a card front leaving the focus on the stamped images and sentiment. Congratulations, Priyanka! She is back today with one last July Sketch Challenge. Thanks so much for joining us, Amy! Amy used the large circle element on the sketch as inspiration for the ink blended backdrop behind her adorable lion image. To add even more emphasis to the design, she created a circle with the Wonky Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and cut out the center to make a frame. A bold sentiment strip, imitating the sketch, completes her design. Torico created a stunning background panel on her card with a bit of stamping, white heat embossing, and ink blending. She added a layered circle panel in the center with a die cut and stamped sentiment and added the finished panel to a white card base to really let the background shine. Vika added a Stitched Circle Scallop Edge Frame to her card front and adhered a stitched sentiment strip at an angle to anchor her stamped lion and greenery. To help keep the focus on her images, she opted to stamp her sentiment under the circle element on the bottom portion of her card. Congratulations, Jeanna! Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating! Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of You've Been Spotted. If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things! Rianne vd Wijden Such a soft and serene scene! Rianne's card features a beautiful color palette and fantastic application of white space - what a wonderful use of the Sushi Date elements! Anuja Kulkarni Jungle Friends has a fun assortment of whimsical animals. Anuja's addition of a patterned ear, party hat, and googly eye take it up a notch further resulting in this playful birthday look. monica Magical Dragons are more charming than scary - especially when perched within a billowing cloud! The rays and dimension of the cloud flotilla make Monica's look even more endearing. Sindu Jay I think the lesson today is that googly eyes make everything better. This I'm Owl Yours duo is certainly having a hoot and making a love connection on Sindu's colorful CAS card. Mari Lee Clarke Mari's card features many of the same elements as Rianne's but a completely different color scheme and the addition of one of our panda chef's resulted in a card as unique as the intended recipient. We love that virtually any set in our collection can be customized to fit the style and mood of the crafter. Which design is your favorite this week? Be sure to leave these talented folks some love. And who knows? You might be spotted sometime soon!

The wait is over! The MFT Stamps Release is live right now! Which means you can head to the MFT Stamps online store and purchase the stamps, dies, stencils, and more that we have been sharing for the last five days! I will wait patiently here while you shop. Or if you are still making up your mind, let me convince you of a few more items you might "need." First up on my blog, Die-namics Chevron Fringe. EEEE and along with wild hand clapping! How fun is this die?!?! Not only did it make an amazing background on my card, layered down the front, but it has so many more possibilities! It would make a great fringe banner, unique flower centers and more! I finished off my amazing background with another great new set of dies, Die-namics Happy Birthday. The clean, script font is the perfect size for cards and more. The set comes with two dies, as each word is separate! Its a must-have! I used Die-namics Happy Birthday to create these adorable cupcake picks! One of the trend in wedding cakes right now is to have words, in a script font, placed on the top of the cake, instead of the traditional topper. I thought the idea would be perfect to execute with these dies and use them on birthday cupcakes! I cut each of the words from Die-namics Happy Birthday three times. Once from Gold Sparkle card stock and twice from Tickled Pink card stock. I layered them together to add stiffness. Then I glued the two words together by overlapping the bottom of the letter "p" on happy to the top of the letter "h" in birthday. Once that dried, then I adhered the back of the letter "h" to a toothpick. This is SO cute! Its a fun idea that can take any cupcake from plain to pow! Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win! thanks for stopping by! kimberly Supplies for Birthday Fringe card: InLinkz.com Supplies for Birthday Cupcake picks: InLinkz.com

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of countdowns for MFT’s January Card Kit, Message in a Bottle! How fun is that?? Message in a Bottle Card Kit will be available for purchase on January 14 at 10am Eastern. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details. For today’s card I started by sponging my sky using Mini Cloud Edges and Blue Breeze dye ink. Then I cut some Ocean Waves (previously released) Die-namics from some aqua vellum that I’ve had for FOREVER and I’m so ticked to be using is! Next I trialed them on the background to see where to put them and decided where to cut Message in a Bottle Die-namics, inserted Message in a Bottle Shaker Pouches, filled it with a sentiment from Little Love Notes Stamp Set cut with Little Notes Sentiment strip along with some gold seed beads, and added a cork “stopper”. Next I added the die cut Ocean Waves, popped up on clear foam tape and a sentiment from Smitten with You heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics. I finished of with a sun cut with Beach Scene Builder Die-namics from Pineapple card stock and Puffy Clouds Die-namics. And that’s it from me today!
