Tel un carnet de bord ou un recueil de souvenirs, le tableau des voyages du Chrononavigavit est une carte du temps.
i decided to construct a "suspect" board for my buses. i wanted to introduce a kindof sinister element to the whole thing and i used timetables, photographs, red markers and thumbtacks to get the effect. I had a conversation last week with my boyfriend who does not GET dublin buses cos he is a bog warrior, born and bred. We were talking about 'X' buses and how the number 10 was very direct from town to my house and that it would 'plough through buildings to get ya home!" in any case i took this idea to make my 666X bus, just a little piece incorporating these ideas. My imaginary buses started to evolve this week, from fake numbers to actually changing the destinations too, and having a bit of fun with them. i made a few sample ones, but my favourite is one i made saying 'mack' with an arrow pointing up to this guy sitting on the top deck.

He seemed to have boundless energy and ideas. “My heid’s buzzin’,” he’d joke. He never refused to give of his time or … Continue reading "Walking Wounded: The Strange and Disturbing Artwork of Alex Eckman-Lawn"
