A ferry boat approaches Padstow by the Town Bar sandbar on the beautiful River Camel estuary in North Cornwall, SW England, UK. The low angle of the late afternoon winter sunlight highlights the estuary's sandbanks, sandbars and beaches in the distance near to the village of Rock. The most famous and treacherous sandbar is the Doom Bar which is out of the picture to the left. A popular Cornish ale brewed by Sharps is named after it. Taken one February near St Saviour's Point.
