Fold the card in middle first like a regular card and then fold the 1.25” section back and use a bone folder to make the creases nice and sharp. 2- Trim the Crushed Curry card base that comes from the kit. Cut the solid yellow side into a 1.25” x 5.5” strip and then 3” x 5.5”. Repeat with the polka dot side. 3- Stamp the flower stamp multiple times in the center of the 3” Crushed Curry and one 1.5” Grapefruit Grove cardstock in the matching color. 4- Add the pieces of cardstock to the card. The 1.25” polka dot strip goes on the front of the flap. The 3” Crushed Curry goes on the left of the flap. The Grapefruit Grove goes on the inside of the card on the right of the flap. 5- Off the card, remove the gold swirl from the kit. Add it over the Shaded Spruce Strip. 6- Add 4 leaves from the kit, 2 in the top left and 2 in the bottom right. 7- Add 2 large flowers from the kit near the leaves. 8- Add this element to the middle of the card, adhere it only to the polka dot flap. 9- Add embossing buddy to the adhesive on the back of the sticker. This covers the sticky exposed areas so they don’t stick to the card where we don’t want it to. 10- Stamp a greeting on the ticket label from the kit in Terracotta Tile and add it to the center with dimensionals 11- Add three small Grapefruit Groove flowers around the greeting. 12- If you would like you can add some of the rhinestones from the kit. All done! Card #2 1- Take your card base 8.5” x 5.5” and score the 8.5” side at 1.25” and 4.25”, flip the paper and repeat in the same places this will break down the fibers on both sides of the score line. Fold the card in middle first like a regular card and then fold the 1.25” section back and use a bone folder to make the creases nice and sharp. 2- Add the other pieces of cardstock to the card. The 1.25” Crushed Curry goes on the front of the flap. The 3” polka dot goes on the left of the flap. The Grapefruit Grove goes on the inside of the card on the right of the flap. 3- On the Whisper White cardstock stamp the large flowers from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set in Crushed Curry. Stamp the first one in the top half with the bottom of the flowers around center. Then rotate your paper and stamp again. 4- Using both the 2 leaf and 3 leaf stamps, stamp some leaves around the flowers in Old Olive and Shaded Spruce ink. 5- Add the strip of Shaded Spruce to the center. It should come off the edge just a little. 6- Add 2 large and 5 small flower stickers from the kit. 7- Stamp a greeting on the ticket label from the kit in Terracotta Tile and add it to the center with dimensionals 8- Add this element to the middle of the card, only adhere it to the Crushed Curry flap. 9- If you would like you can add some of the rhinestones from the kit. Add done! I have also made this video showing the process of these cards. I was pretty excited about the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, Birthday Bundle. Who couldn't use a few extra gift bags and birthday cards to have on hand, right? I sat down yesterday to assemble my kit, and I put the bags together following the instructions. I liked them as-is, and it was easy to decorate them and then leave them folded flat to store with my other gift bags until I need them. When it came to the cards, though, I wanted to play around a little. The suggested card design was fine: It coordinated with the bags, was suitable for any age or gender, and would be easy to create for a last-minute card. But it was a little plain for me. I thought about just adding a few simple embellishments, like ribbon, rhinestones, or sequins, but instead I decided to change up the layout and create some new designs. Below are pictures of the individual cards as well as the supplies used for each. In general I used the three other coordinating ink colors (Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Crushed Curry) in addition to the Island Indigo included in the kit, I added embellishments, and I used a few different punches. The only extra paper I used was silver glimmer paper and vellum card stock. Note: All of the following cards were made with the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, Birthday Bundle. Additional supplies used are listed for each card. All materials are from Stampin' Up! Additional supplies: Ink: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry Accessories: Rhinestones This layout is the most similar to the design in the kit instructions. I cut 1/2" off one end of the patterned strip of card stock and then trimmed each end into banner points. I stamped the three balloons on one of the white circles included in the kit (I had an extra because I didn't use the circle on one of my cards) and cut them out. I stamped the balloon strings on the card base and used Dimensionals to adhere the balloons and sentiment layer on the card. I added a few rhinestones for a little sparkle. Additional supplies: Accessories: Daffodil Delight pompom trim, Calypso Coral baker's twine, Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Best Year Ever buttons, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, paper-piercing tool, Glue Dots This layout is also similar to the suggested design; it's simply turned on its side. This time I trimmed just one end of the patterned strip into banner points, and I placed the straight end right at the top of the card. To add some interest to the focal point, I pierced a border around the circle and added pompom trim around it. (Tip: It helps to use a double layer of Dimensionals to adhere the focal point to the card because of the thickness of the pompom trim.) For extra embellishment, I added a Calypso Coral button tied with a bow of Calypso Coral baker's twine and a few Bermuda Bay sequins. Additional supplies: Stamps: All Shook Up (December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit) Ink: Bermuda Bay Accessories: Calypso Coral baker's twine, Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Glue Dots I love that this card looks like a fun present. To achieve this look, cut the patterned strip into three strips 1/2" wide. Adhere two of them to the card, one horizontally and one vertically, to look like ribbon on a gift box. You can use the third strip to create a bow, which I did, or adhere it inside the card for a fun pop of color. For stamping I used one of the extra tags from the kit instead of the white circle. (The circle was used on the first card above.) I did have to find a different birthday stamp to fit on the tag; this one happens to be from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit, All Shook Up. If you don't have another stamp handy, you could use the "To:/From:" image from this kit and fill it out like a gift tag. Then you could tuck a gift card inside the card, and there you go: card and present in one. To embellish this card I added Calypso Coral baker's twine and Bermuda Bay sequins. Additional supplies: Paper: Vellum card stock Ink: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry Accessories: Banner punch, white baker's twine, Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Glue Dots, Mono Multi liquid glue For this card I punched twelve banner shapes out of the patterned strip from the kit. (I used six on the card front and six for a banner inside the card.) But the little banners were overpowered by the bold stripes of the card base, so to soften the stripes I used a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of vellum. (Tip: Adhere all the pieces onto the vellum first. Then apply the adhesive on the back of the vellum so it is hidden by the balloons and banners.) The balloons were stamped on the white card stock circle and then cut out. I adhered baker's twine to the back of each balloon and then placed a tiny drop of glue at the bottom of the vellum to keep the twine straight. I finished the layout with a few sequins (I love those things!). Additional supplies: Paper: Silver glimmer paper Accessories: Island Indigo cotton ribbon, large star punch, Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, paper-piercing tool, Glue Dots For this card and the next one, I didn't stamp any birthday sentiments. These cards could be used for celebrating a variety of different occasions, such as graduation, a new job, or another milestone or accomplishment. For this card I wrapped Island Indigo ribbon around the card base and tied it in a knot. Then I cut the patterned strip of card stock in half and adhered the two pieces to the card base so they formed a block of color. I pierced holes along the edge of the white card stock circle and then punched a large star in the center. I adhered the circle to the patterned layer with Dimensionals and added a small silver star in the center. A cluster of three silver stars in the upper right corner finishes the card. Additional supplies: Paper: Silver glimmer paper Ink: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry Accessories: Daffodil Delight pompom trim, Itty Bitty Accents punch pack, Glue Dots This card definitely has a cheerful, celebratory feel to it, doesn't it? I started by cutting the patterned strip in two strips each 3/4" wide. Then I trimmed 3/8" off the long edge of the card front -- I saved that strip and used it inside the card -- and adhered one of the patterned strips to the back of the card front. I cut the second strip in half and trimmed one end of each piece into banner points. I glued the pieces to the card front so they look like the tails on a blue-ribbon award. For the focal image I stamped the "celebrate" sentiment several times in different colors on the white circle and then adhered pom pom trim around it. I used a double layer of Dimensionals to adhere the circle over the top of the "tails" and added a few silver glimmer stars as embellishment. I'm excited to add these cards to my stash, and I hope the recipients enjoy them. Thanks for stopping by!

Start with Mossy Meadow, then stamp again in Old Olive and then finish with a few of the same pattern from the tree stamp in Parakeet Party. The concept here is to create realistic texture of trees with the tree stamp. Stamp in any direction. It's ok to stamp in layers and colors to create that scene. See video for instruction as well, if needed. You should end up with lush looking trees! There is also a grassy mound stamp and use this to create a "grassy" look on that bottom strip. You can also remove the bottom piece if you want to show the water on the pre-printed card. I chose to cover it and stamp the bottom of the tree scene. Repeat in the same colors and repeat stamp pattern to create grassy texture. Take the "Deep" combo from the Natural Tones Stampin' Blends, use the lighter of the two colors in this combo pack (or a dark brown shade) and color in the tree trunks and branches. My personal opinion: it's ok to be messy here and color over any green that may have been stamped while creating the leafy tree look. It's ok to be messy and imperfect here. Place the foam adhesive strips around the frame and set aside. Trim down that scene to the size of the die. Add the Grassy Grove die cut over the scene. Glue the treat bag plaid layer to the card front. I do not recommend multipurpose glue here. I recommend Seal or Tear and Tape because this layer is very thin and "wet" glue might show through or wrinkle the paper. Place dimensionals on the back of the scene now and add to card. Stamp "See the good" from Grassy Grove in Boho Blue ink on the banner die cut. Add a 1/4" strip (same pattern from treat bag) to the top of the banner with Seal. Add 3 Boho Blue Dots, if desired. CARDS 2 & 3 - Same Card Base, Different Stamp Sets The card with the girl: Coffee with Friends Stamp Set/ The Bear is from Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set (same card background) CARD MEASUREMENTS (with the girl) Card Base:4-1/4 x 11" Score at 5-1/2" (Basic White Cardstock) Layer: Exploring In Color Cards & Envelopes (Vertical Scene w/ Copper Clay Back) trimmed down to 4 x 5-3/8" 2023-2025 In Color Treat Bag (Wild Wheat) Trimmed Down to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" Piece of Basic White Cardstock large enough to stamp the girl with coffee (same with the bear card) Die Cut Banner from Nested Essentials Dies (Second to Smallest Banner - 1-1/8 x 1-3/4") 2023-2025 In Color Dots (3 in Boho Blue) INSTRUCTIONS Stamp girl holding coffee in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink from the Coffee with Friends Stamp Set. Color girl with Stampin' Blends in the Following Colors: Shirt - Daffodil Delight Dark Pants/ Flip Flop Shoes - Night of Navy Combo Skintone - Light - Natural Tone Stampin' Blends Hair - Deep - Natural Tone Stampin' Blends Coffee Mug - Gray Granite Fussy cut image. Add Stampin' Dimensionals and position her so she looks like she's sitting on the rock on the path. Glue the treat bag layer to card front (same recommendation as prior card instructions here concerning treat bag). Then add the scene layer. Stamp sentiment in Wild Wheat ink "Thinking of You" from the Coffee with Friends Stamp Set onto the banner die cut (banner is sideways here) Add dimensionals and place top left on card. Add 3 dots in Boho Blue if desired. THE BEAR VERSION OF THE CARD NOTE: The bear on the other card and sentiment are from Wildlife Wonder. The bear is also colored with the Deep and Medium Deep Stampin' Blends tones. On the bear card, there is no layer. It's just the card base from the Exploring In Color set. Sentiment is stamped in Copper Clay ink. CARD 4 This card pairs the add-on card with Coffee with Friends Stamp Set CARD MEASUREMENTS Card Base: Exploring In Color Card Base with Scene and Boho Blue Back) Piece of Basic White Cardstock large enough to stamp the girls on the bench with coffee INSTRUCTIONS Stamp the girls holding coffees on the bench in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink from the Coffee with Friends Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock. Color the girls and bench with Stampin' Blends in the following colors and/ or color combinations: BENCH - Bronze/ Ivory Combo with a third medium brown shade (like a latte or crumb cake shade)/ Gray Granite and Smoky Slate for Metal on Bench GIRL #1 - Deep Natural Tone, Basic Black Hair, Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake for Clothes/ Shoes GIRL #2 - Medium Light Tone, Cajun Craze Hair, Old Olive and Night of Navy for Shirt and Pants Coffees - Touch of Gray Granite Light on lids, Touch of Crumb Cake light on cup Fussy cut image. Use a craft knife (if you have one) to cut the details inbetween the slats on the bench. Not necessary but really adds to the final card when you can see background through the bench! Very realistic. Add dimensionals when you are finished coloring and add to the card base! Lower right corner. Stamp sentiment in Copper Clay directly on the card. I chose "You mean so much to me" from Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set. I hope you enjoyed today's card project! Yes, I know it's unusual to work with the add-on before the Paper Pumpkin kit coordinating with it even ships but hopefully this shows how fabulous they are on their own and with a few different stamp sets. We will create more alternates when the Paper Pumpkin kit arrives! So stay tuned! In the meantime, here is what the May Paper Pumpkin Kit looks like: Images Copyright Stampin' Up!
