Naturally tapped from the inflorescences of coconut palms With a natural caramel aroma From the best growing area in Thailand, Phetchaburi Without additives and unsulphurated In contrast to normal sweeteners, it is also suitable for diabetics Expected delivery from 25-31.7.2022Speciality of our palm sugar Our palm sugar comes from Phetchaburi, the best growing region in Thailand. Fresh palm sugar is soft and tastes rather mildly sweet with a delicious caramel-like aftertaste, which is comparable to a creamy sugar candy with a light caramel aroma. Because of this, KONKRUA palm sugar is soft and less sweet, unlike most of the hard palm sugars found in many Asian stores in which there is so much sugar mixed into it. How to get palm sugar The juice or sap is extracted from the inflorescences of coconut palms in Phetchaburi. It is then dried under heat. After 5 hours, the palm syrup has finally thickened. Then it is put in a large container and beaten until it crystallises. From this, you can then get coconut blossom sugar (Nam Tan Maprao or palm sugar). A palm tree can release up to two litres of nectar a day, which is enough for a 500 gram pack of coconut blossom sugar. Is palm sugar healthy?? Palm sugar contains many healthy nutrients such as iron, zinc, calcium and potassium. It also contains healthy antioxidants, vitamin B, folic acid, riboflavin and thiamin. It is said to be healthier than white sugar because it causes blood sugar levels to rise very slowly. The body metabolises less insulin and you have fewer food cravings. For this reason, unlike normal sweeteners, palm sugar is also suitable for diabetics!
