Dr. Propolus is the moniker of Austrian-Moroccan illustrator and filmmaker Ilias Walchshofer, who is based in Berlin. The artist takes found fashion spread and celebrity photography and adds flourishes of humor and intricate accessories with his signature black and white linework. Whether adding woodland animals, extra clothing, or something mythical in nature, these additions often change the entire tone of each original piece.

Art can give us a better understanding of our emotions and the world we live in. Even though some art pieces can be difficult to comprehend, they might provoke one to think and find his or her own meaning. Art is often connected to human emotions. In the process of creating art, artists express what they are concerned or curious about. In this way, they explore their own thoughts and feelings and at the same time encourage the public to engage in the journey of meaning-making.

Fun and freaky. That's, quite possibly, the only way to describe these photomanipulations by Buenos Aires-based graphic design student Martn De Pasquale.
Photo manipulated images that give imagination a visual voice. Artist going by the name Thezairul has one of the best job descriptions I have ever seen. "Surreal Practitioner". Digital art that show us a point of view, which might stretch the sometimes narrow ones we have. I speak from my experience. If you have ever spoken the following words, then you know what I am talking about. "I thought everybody..." you can add to that: Thought, Did etc. We do tend to assume that because we grew up doing something a certain way, that everyone does exactly the same. It can be embarrassing to find out that some or most don't. But it's also eyeopening; you get to thinking: "What other things have I made assumptions about, that are not necessarily universal?" It's a perfect start to seeing the world in a different way. Appreciating the subtle differences that make out life on this planet so interesting, (at times) and definitely diverse. A few surreal exercises below, to stretch that secure and consistent view of the world you might have. Ps. I gave the images some titles. Motorways of the future. Press the Image to Enlarge it. Digital art that looks as real as reality. Turkish Visual Artist Kerem Ciğerci presents us with another page full of daydreaming art. The reason for the title is this: if dreams are reality to us when we are in the middle of them, that means that we are able to experience more than one reality. If that is true, then these images as fantastic and surreal as they seem, could be a reality of their own, as we perceive them with our senses as well. Imagine if we could transport ourselves there, not just with our minds but actually and physically. Then, when when our break is over, we just return. All we need is an image, creating it creates the place; it becomes a point on a map we can get to... Which image would be your first destination? Ps. I gave the images some titles. Making eye contact, a once unavoidable feat when packed into a crowded train car or museum, is now a nearly impossible mission as those around you are almost guaranteed to be sucked into their phone’s screen while scrolling through Facebook or killing digital zombies. Our increasing dependence on the information devices constantly stuck to our hands was the inspiration for artist Antoine Geiger’s series SUR-FAKE, a group of digitally altered photographs depicting random people being sucked into the screens of their phones.
