Aniela Sobieski is intrigued by “the human impulse to self-decorate,” a fascination that permeates every aspect of her portraiture. Evoking both baroque paintings and contemporary fashions, Sobieski adorns women and the occasional dog with elaborate makeup and sculptural accessories placed conspicuously to mask the subject’s features. She seamlessly maps classic still lifes and sparse landscapes directly onto the sitter’s face, often highlighting the natural shape of the eye and coating the figure’s lips in bold red. More

Paging through a photo album detailing every moment of a friend’s poolside vacation might not be a riveting activity, but flipping through Angela Mckay’s sketchbooks filled with tiny paintings of her travels certainly is. The Brooklyn-based pattern designer and illustrator of Ohkii Studio documents the lush scenery, cavernous waters, and hilly villages she sees on the streets of Lagos, Calamosche Beach on Italy’s southern coast, and in Joshua Tree National Park. Mckay generally positions her miniature paintings against the real-life backdrop, juxtaposing the two depictions that she then shares on Instagram. More
Johanna Burai just visited my computer screen via the wonderful Pinterest world and I cannot get enough of her website . Her Birds Collection has captured me, even prompted me to write her an email requesting her prints on fabric.

I was born in Madrid in 1963, of a Greek mother, Spanish father, grandmother Austrian. I currently reside in Valencia, Spain. I am a self taught painter, and started my artistic career in Valencia (Spain) 1990, using in depth the pastel technique. I concentrated on different themes such as indoor motifs, city views and bullfighting scenes. At this time and since 1998 I have given my paintings a new turn, centered on the human body.

Vaihtoehtoisesti voit maalata molemmat. Leikkaa esirippu ohuesta kankaasta tai värillisestä paperista (voit piirtää laskoksia). Kiinnitä esirippu tulitikkulaatikkoon teipillä tai liimalla. Piirrä kasvot sekä etu- että keskisormesi sormenpäähän. / / / Use empty matchboxes to create tiny pocket theatres! Cut off a bit more than a third of the lid. Also cut off one end of the box. Glue decorative paper to the bottom of the box and on the lid. Alternatively, you can paint them. Cut the curtains from thin fabric or colored paper (you can draw some folds). Attach the curtain on the box with tape or glue. Draw a face on front and middle fingers' fingertips.

Pokemon stands for 'pocket monsters' so perhaps we should call these porcelain monsters from Anya Stasenko and Slava Leontyev 'Pocemon'. Mind you, I'm not sure porcelain is the best material for battles. Porcelain is certainly a great material for creating colourful and crisp, alien and odd, textured little critters.
The paintings of Federico Infante make me think of an old world artist who has time traveled to the present....

Capture the arresting vitality and dramatic atmosphere of Glencoe with this radiant expressionist print. Bold brushstrokes work dynamically across the canvas, constructing a landscape alive with movement and emotion. The tumultuous sky, aglow with scarlet and vermilion hues, suggests a tempestuous vitality as it reflects over a meandering rivulet. In striking contrast, the cool whispers of the valley floor linger beneath, punctuated by the dark, sombre tones of boulders and pockets of verdancy. The piece masterfully conveys a moment where nature's elements coalesce into a breathtaking spectacle. The central luminosity of the sun is depicted as an almost celestial event, its radiant light bleeding into the cloud cover and washing the scene with a palpable warmth. The sweep of the valley's rugged terrain on either side guides the eye towards the distant, softly rendered mountains, suggesting endless depth and a sense of the enduring presence of the landscape. This print invites viewers on a sensory journey through the highlands' grandeur, where every stroke evokes the wild spirit of Glencoe. Whether seeking to add a statement piece to a living space or wishing to own a fragment of Scotland's natural magnificence, this artwork is a celebration of colour and emotion, casting the iconic scenery in a light that is at once familiar and utterly transformative.
Time is a really popular theme in photo manipulation. The most used item is the clock that is creatively added in most of the time inspired photo manipulations. Another item is the hourglass that is also used to depict the time passing illusion. Here you have an interesting time Photoshop tutorial that you might want to check out.
