Hello lovely peeps This week's oldie is a card I made with the Daisy Days stamp set from Polkadoodles. I stamped the border in a cross pattern straight onto a 6x6 card blank then added a few of the little circle doodles and coloured them in with Promarkers. For the topper I stamped on the a daisy from the same set onto a piece of photo mountboard. I sprinkled coloured Stampendous embossing powders on in the different areas for the sky/grass/daisy and then heated gently from above until melted. I did 2 thick layers and then stamped the daisy back over the top using Black Stazon, along with the border again for the stem. Once this had cooled I glued it onto the card front with silicone glue, lining the stem up with the cross on the card. Thanks for stopping by, Katrina x

Hello lovely peeps and welcome to my new follower :) Just popping in to show you a 'rustic' card I made with the Daisy Days stamp set from Polkadoodles First I stamped and embossed the daisy head, stems and tiny circles onto Kraft card with Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I wet the edges so I could tear it down to the size I wanted. I went over the card with Walnut Stain distress ink and then spattered water on Next I coloured in the daisies with Titanium White and Rich Gold acrylic paint by Daler Rowney I covered up the daisy heads with sticky notes and spattered on white and then gold paint over the background. I covered a 6x6 card base with corrugated card 'made' from a cardboard box (just peel the top layer of paper off) and then added some torn white card on top before layering on my topper. It's finished off with a sentiment from the CD and a button on top of some natural fibres. NEW {JoFY} Collection Jan 2018 Clare creates such amazing ideas with her love of simple lines and striking colour combinations. She has an awesome bunch of wonderful ideas with Jo's stamps, and is particularly good at highlighting the doodled designs within each stamped image. Hi everyone, Clare here, I was so excited to be involved with Jo's new release stamps. The images are absolutely stunning and they are BIG! They offer so many opportunities for colour ways, collage and layering. I can't wait to get them into my journal and fill my pages with these amazing blooms. JoFY A5 stamp sets 6" x 7" (15 x 18cm) trimmed stamps on EZ mount foam RRP £20.50 (incl VAT) Jo is well known for her floral designs, and following on from last summer, Jo has added to her designs some more intricate, doodled elements, which are super-fun! As ever, you will find some useful borders, backgrounds, words, and even some solid elements to add those finishing touched and details to your cards, journal pages, scrapbook layouts or canvas art. JoFY Collection Set 59 (JoFY59) Divine Creation JoFY59 I adore the doodled flowers with their beautiful, intricate details. I could while away many hours colouring and adding in doodles of my own to change it's appearance and give the blooms their own identity. I would love to try stamping on to patterned papers to see what effects this would create or add layers to the flowers by layering the patterns available on the petals. JoFY Collection Set 63 (JoFY63) Alphabet Foliage JoFY63 These stamps, in my eyes, are a staple of every stampers craft box. This beautiful stamp set is alive with with foliage of all shapes and sizes for you to use on your layouts and will go hand in hand with all of Jo's new release stamps and stencils. The alphabet line is one of my favourites! I am envisaging using this in the future in my backgrounds along with creating exciting borders to frame my work. JoFY Collection Set 64 (JoFY64) Aloha JoFY64 I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set the moment I set eyes on it. The flower heads are so big and full. The blooms remind me of Hawaiian flowers. They really are a colourists dream, for my next project using these I am looking forward to getting out my watercolour pencils and practice my shades and tones. These beautiful blooms will grace any journal spread and make an amazing focal point! I love decorating wooden plaques and I intend on creating one using these sensational stamps. As you know, there are 3 more stamp sets that new from Jo in this release, and Keren and Jo shared samples with those in the previous 2 posts. Just as a reminder, and for your reference, here they are: JoFY Collection Set 60 (JoFY60) JoFY Collection Set 61 (JoFY61) JoFY Collection Set 62 (JoFY62) JoFY Minis credit card size trimmed stamps on EZ mount foam RRP £4.80 (incl VAT) Jo's minis have always proved popular as supplementary images to the large stamp sets. For this release there are more of the doodle style intricate flowers, some fab geometric elements and the much asked for small alphabets that are great as backgrounds, to to use as a tiny alphabet. Mini Text Tag On this tag I have used both JM63 & JM64. Jo's handwriting is amazing and I'm sure you will agree that adding text, lettering or numerical print onto your project always gives the eye something more for to glide over. I cut out a small tag, from some Smoothy card, that had been painted with some PaperArtsy Fresco Acrylic, Antarctic. Using mini stencil PM012 & Lake Wanaka Fresco paint I sponged through the stencil to add contrast to the pale Antarctic paint. Working with JM63 & JM64 I stamped, using the Lake Wanaka paint, around the tag before attaching the bloom & foliage. PaperArtsy LARGE stencils 6.25" x 9.5" (16cm x 24cm) RRP £6.50 (incl VAT) These large stencils are fabulous for large format journal pages, or canvas art, and are a new addition to the JoFY line as far as size goes! Bigger is always better, and you can see the large flower (PS082) offers magnificent shadow options for the matching stamps in set JoFY 64. LARGE PaperArtsy Stencil 081 (PS081) LARGE PaperArtsy Stencil & Masks 082 (PS082) (please note with this stencil you also get the masks (flowers) LARGE PaperArtsy Stencil 083 (PS083) Fizzing Flowers Using the Stencil PS083 I inked onto my card, through the stencil, with Versamark, watermark ink. With some mica powders I carefully brushed over the inked image with a couple of different colours. I added some additional stamping from set Jofy63 and Mini stamp JM58. I stamped the flower heads, from Jofy63, on to some Smoothy card, which had already been painted using PaperArtsy Fresco Paint, a blend of prawn and chalk. With some pencils I added some shading and carefully cut them out so that I could assemble my project. PaperArtsy REGULAR stencils 6.5" x 7" (16cm x18cm) RRP £5.50 (incl VAT) Jo has a wide assortment of stencils, and this offering has a mix of floral, geometric, bold and fine. The 2 lowers ones 'pop out' of the surrounding mylar creating a mask, useful for gelli printing. And the floral pattern within is also repeated in stamped images, both on JoFY Minis, and regular stamp sets. REGULAR PaperArtsy Stencil 084 (PS084) REGULAR PaperArtsy Stencil 085 (PS085) REGULAR PaperArtsy Stencil 086 (PS086) Geo Flower I made this quick little card by stencilling onto black card. I used Chalk coloured Fresco paint through stencil PS086. The coverage is awesome! The flowers from Jofy62 work perfectly with this stencil so using the smallest bloom I stamped, coloued and attached to my card. I cant wait to explore more with this stencil on my Gelli plate. With the marvellous, geometric shapes it will certainly make for some interesting prints. PaperArtsy MINI size stencils 3.5" x 3.75" (9cm x9.5cm) RRP £3.00 (incl VAT) These are a new format for Jo with gorgeous baby stencils that are super fun for your backgrounds to add depth and layering to your mixed media crafting.A nice addition to the JoFY line on products. PaperArtsy MINI Stencil 011 (PM011) PaperArtsy MINI Stencil 012 (PM012) PaperArtsy MINI Stencil 013 (PM013) PaperArtsy MINI Stencil 014 (PM014) I have had so much crafty fun experimenting with Jo's stunning new release of stamps. I think that you will agree when I say that these stamps and stencils offer you so much versatility and will all work together so beautifully. Thank you so much in visiting and letting me share my creations with you using these wonderful stamps. Clare Messenger Socials... Hello lovely peeps, and welcome to my new followers. I'm chuffed to bits because I've now reached 50 Google Connect followers (the neat freak in me likes round numbers :D ) Yesterday I had a chance to play with my new Lemonade Fizz Stamp Soup stamps from Polkadoodles. The idea is that you build up your own flowers etc. with the individual stamps. There is also a CD to accompany it with some other digi stamps, sentiments etc. and papers with a pink/aqua colour theme. I just started stamping on scrap paper first to see what flowers I could make But then I got waylaid because I spotted a squid :D The idea of making a male card from floral stamps and papers really appealed to my quirky side, so I set about making a shaker card with an underwater theme. I've included instructions for those who've never made a shaker card before. I stamped the largest flower onto green diamond paper and cut out the middle petal for the squid body. I traced it twice onto my card (which is covered with the stripy aqua paper) in pencil so I could see where to stamp my tentacles. I stamped various leaves onto other Lemonade Fizz papers and cut them out for my seaweed. The next step was to make the shaker frame. To make it more sturdy I glued the paper onto some card with Collall photo glue and die-cut a circle from the middle using a large X-Cut circle die. Next I glued a square of acetate onto the back with Collall all-purpose glue (it sticks to glass among other things, so I figured it would work on acetate) I added a double height of adhesive foam on a roll as I find that if you only use a single layer then your shaker bits get wedged in and won't move. I arranged my seaweed around the front of the frame and attached with Cosmic Shimmer glue for speed. When you're ready to assemble just sprinkle your sequins etc. in the middle of your base card, then peel off the backing tape from the foam and carefully position the frame over the top. Just realised that the eyes are in the wrong place for squid but it's too late to move them now. Never mind, I'm sure you get the idea. I would like to enter this in the following challenges:- Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge #126: anything goes with a twist ...Make it Male Mod Squad Challenge -Water, Water, Everywhere Paper Shelter Challenge #245 - For the Boys Craftin Desert Divas Shake it up Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog #89 Anything goes option Flowers Crafty Girls Creations Always Anything Goes Crafting for all Seasons #124 tic tac toe (sparkly sequins, stamp, backing paper) Tinker- Dream #40 Shaker Card I'm going to spend the rest of the day giving my craft room a long overdue tidy :D Whatever you're doing I hope you have a good day, Katrina x

Hello my lovelies, boy did we have a storm last night. It was building up all afternoon, getting blacker and blacker and then boom off we went in the middle of the night lol!!! Love to watch a good storm and have been know to sleep though them when we used to go camping. Not these days though. Todays card is another for my tabletop collection and coloured with watercolour pencils - no water added though!! I used of my blue and green Derwent watercolour pencils and varied the pressure slightly to vary the shading. I love the soft effect you get from the pencils on paper. The stamps come form the following sets and pencils from the set of 36 by Derwent If you're planning a visit to the Lake District, the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick is well worth a visit. We spent many a happy hour in there when the boys were small, did lots of colouring trying out the range of pencils they make and shopped too. Did you know the Derwent pencils were used to produce the original snowman film With the boys out at work I've got a few hours to get started on some projects that are long overdue, so will love you and leave you, thanks for calling by and catch up again shortly :-) C www.mycreativepsirit.co.uk
