Today's forecast here is Colorado is sunny with high temp of 58. Tomorrow is a different story. High temp of 28 with snow. So today I had to get the yard mowed and put the winterizer on before it snows tomorrow. I also took the time to get the rest of my front porch decorated. I didn't do it as elaborate as I normally do but doing the yard wore me out. Plus I still have to do laundry. So here it is. I did just a small amount of decorating at the rocking chairs. To tell you the truth I have been having a hard time getting my Fall decorating done. Somehow I just haven't felt in the mood. Here are the urns that were in my last post. I would still like to decorate the side back porch and the back deck. I was also planning to do something special by my pond. Hopefully next weekend will be nice and I can get some of it done. Good evening everyone! I have gotten some more decorating done. Did I mention that I was keeping it simple this year?….. well once I got started I just kept going! My husband and I worked on the front porch today. I am so glad we found the time, I hate driving up to a “dark” house. Now we look festive! Can you see our little puppy Carter peeking out the window? :) Right now I am working on another sled like this for our back deck~ Santa peeking through our front door~ I got a real tree for the porch this year. It smells so good! I did a little more decorating inside. Here are just a few random photos from different rooms~ I just dusted this candle today with cinnamon and nutmeg…Mmmm~ Cranberry and Yuzu from Village Candle is aglow tonight, this scent is a winner. Fresh, tart cranberry. And it’s even on sale right now! I bought two of them! It is possible that we will get a dusting of snow this weekend. That is another reason I am glad we got our outside decorating done. I LOVE to take pictures after the first snow! I had some time to do a couple little projects today. Yesterday I went out and picked some crab apples off of our tree in the backyard. I had been eyeing them for days. Thinking they looked a lot like rosehips. So…I decided to pick some and try drying them. And it worked! This morning I put them all on a cookie sheet, turned my oven on a low temp and left them in there FOREVER. I was around all day, so they just baked and baked. Obviously I have told ALL of my children that these are NOT edible. And my kiddos are all old enough now that I don’t worry about that. And they will all be up and out of our puppy’s reach too. Here they are after they came out of the oven~ I will be picking our tree clean and making more that’s for sure! My other project was dusting these candles and battery tea lights. I just brushed them with Mod Podge and sprinkled and rolled them in cinnamon and nutmeg. I have wanted to do this forever and I finally got to it. *Note* I will be using my Mod Podge and spice candles for decoration only. I will place them in bowls and other displays for '”looks”. I wouldn’t want the spices to spark or catch fire. Well that is what went on at our house today. Now it is time for a family Christmas movie. I hope we can all decide on which one to watch! Everyone will surely have their own favorite! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will leave you with one more photo that I took of one of the ornaments on our tree. Something we all wish for~ “Let there be peace on earth And let it begin with me.” Until next time, take care. ~Sarah~
