Just loved painting this rock and the smaller wildflowers rock. Simple, cute and a bit whimsical. This rock has a bit more detail than the smaller one simply because I had a larger surface to work with. Length: 2.5 inches Width: 2 inches Height/Thickness: .75 inches I am still working on my photography so please excuse any reflections or glare that may appear in the photos and/or rocks. ***RECOMMENDED FOR INDOOR USE ONLY*** Leaving a rock outdoors can subject it to thermal stress weathering. Thermal stress weathering will cause the rock to expand and contract caused by changes in temperature which may cause cracking of the paint. The rocks that I use are river rocks. They are not all “perfect” which means some might have chips or small imperfections along the edges. I initially prime each rock with either black or white acrylic paint or paint pen. If the rock’s surface has a few pin-size holes that might interfere with the design, I will use Elmer’s Wood Filler to fill the holes, let the filler dry and then sand off the excess. I use Posca paint pens and/or acrylic paints with brushes. I seal the rocks with 4-5 coats of Rust-oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover Clear Gloss or Matte Finish. I sign each rock on the reverse side. The rocks are water resistant and can be cleaned or dusted with a soft cloth. My rocks are meant to be kept indoors. I am currently testing different clear coats so that someday my rocks can be used outside. I will keep you posted! Each rock will be wrapped in acid-free paper, carefully wrapped in and cushioned with eco-friendly honeycomb packaging paper and boxed in a corrugated box mailer for shipping.
