Wondrously detailed worlds emerge from busts of youthful women in clay sculptures by Chinese artist Yuanxing Liang. Ambling trees, bridges, and temples emerge from the figures’ hairline, fusing realism and fantasy in smooth resin. Despite their complex design, Liang occasionally creates small editions of his sculptures. The artist is a gradute of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. Chiseled doric columns, ornate arches, vaulted ceilings, staircases, and tiny sculptures within a sculpture—all of this fits into miniature architectural spaces that resemble ancient and medieval ruins and sacred architecture carved into raw marble and stone. These historical sculptures are brought to life by an internationally acclaimed British sculptor, Matthew Simmonds (previously here on Bored Panda), who currently lives and works in Denmark.

Original ceramic sculpture by Gosia measuring 22"h x 10"w x 9"d. Gosia is a professional sculptor living and working in Toronto. Born in Poland in 1982, she moved to Canada in 1994. Gosia has a background in Illustration from Sheridan College and her career of creating and selling artwork through galleries and contemporary art fairs has led her to her passion for sculpting. Gosia has been a finalist in the International ARC Salon Competition 2014/2015 and has been featured in contemporary art magazines such as Hi-Fructose and Juxtapoz.
