Hello and Welcome, I am so happy to have you here today, this card is so bright and fun, and I can't wait to show you how to make it! The colour combo is Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White. The card has a crisp, clean feel to it, but lots of little details to make it a super special card. Can you see the glistening sponged background? That effect is made using Stampin Up's "Glossy Paper". With a splattering of sequins in the backdrop. VIEW VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE Thanks you for visiting today. I hope have enjoyed the card created here, feel free to leave a comment, if you would like! Until next time!!! I've had a lot of fun with Sea of Textures since it was first introduced a year ago - I'm so glad to see that it's carrying over into the new Stampin' Up catalog! Inky the Octopus (my name for him, not SU's) is stamped here in Night of Navy & cut with the matching die-cuts. The first step in creating this card is to die-cut the window on the card front. The sentiment on the card front is stamped next in Night of Navy, then finally embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Do not try to emboss first and stamp second - it will not work! Been there, done that ): I lined up the card front on the Pool Party card base (without adhering it) and drew a light pencil line around the circle to have a guide for stamping the seaweed. It's stamped with Tranquil Tide, using the "stamping off" method (stamp once, then stamp again without re-inking in-between). The die-cuts are all attached with liquid glue except for Inky, who's popped up on Mini Dimensionals. If Sea of Textures and the matching Under the Sea Framelits are on your wish list, you can save 10% by purchasing them as a bundle before the current catalog expires! Coastal Cabana with Sea Turtle + Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a rich deep berry colour called Coastal Cabana. Coastal Cabana is one of the Brights Colour Family and is a bright-ish aqua. As the name suggests, this colour is lovely for sea themes and could be used for so many other things. Coastal Cabana is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads, spots & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2; Soft Pastels, Brights Designer Series Paper as well as the Confetti Birthday Kit, Light the Candle Card Kit and Ombré Matt Decorative Dots. Coastal Cabana card-stock, ink and Stampin’ Write Marker have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Coastal Cabana bits and pieces. The Sea Turtles stamp set arrived in my last Stampin’ Up! order and it seemed a brilliant combination to pair it with Coastal Cabana. I recently saw a card by Kim Gibbons Fee, a UK Demonstrator and previous Stampin’ Up! Artisan, where Kim used the bubble technique. I hadn’t played with this technique for ages and thought it would be fun to try it in Coastal Cabana. I had forgotten how important it was to keep the amount of water to a minimum and found I needed to keep adding many drops of re-inker and then more & more. I am disappointed the fun bubble effect doesn’t really show in the photos. It is evident in real life but still rather delicate. I started with a small bowl, partially filled with water. A little dishwashing liquid was added to the bowl and then numerous drops of Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ re-inker. I put an end of a straw into the water and blew till bubbles built up and over the top of the bowl. The bubbles were scooped off onto a piece of Basic White card-stock. Initially, there was no colour effect, so I added more, & more, & more drops of ink. Bubbles were blown and scooped over 2 pieces of Basic White card-stock. As mentioned, in the end the bubble effect was still delicate but I thought it would be OK. Looking back now I would have liked it a bit darker so the effect was more evident. A little diluted Crumb Cake ink was applied with the wide brush Water Painter to indicate a sandy beach. When the front panel had dried thoroughly a little Embossing Paste was applied with a Palette Knife to the area where sea & sand converge. This was left to dry too. The small turtle from the Sea Turtle stamp set was stamped onto Basic White card-stock in Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ ink. The stamp was turned over on the block and then stamped over the turtle image in second generation Coastal Cabana Classic ink. They are so cute in real life. Some extra colours, depth and highlights were added to give the turtles a little more dimension. Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive Blends combos were used and then the White Watercolor Pencil (Assortment 1) was used to had highlights. The star fish from the Sea Turtle stamp set were stamped in Crumb Cake ink and then over stamped in second generation Petal Pink ink using the back of the stamp. The sea dollars were stamped in Crumb Cake ink and filled in with second generation stamping. The turtles, star fish and the sea dollars were all fussy cut. This card is a simple fun-fold card, that is when the front flap opens (as above), there is another flap that can open to the right. This was created with a Pool Party card base with a smaller Coastal Cabana card base adhered inside the Pool Party card to the back panel, but with the inner card opening to the right. I have used the top of this flap for a turtle scene. They are swimming in the sea. A panel of bubble coloured card-stock was cut with a Deckled Rectangle die, then mounted on a slightly larger piece of Basic White card-stock before being mounted onto the top Coastal Cabana panel. Part of a larger filigree sea plant from the Beauty of the Deep stamps was white heat embossed in the lower left corner. (Only little bits can be seen behind the turtle & plants - but at least I know it’s there - wink). The Beauty of the Sea bundle was used to create sea plants (one being heat embossed with white on Vellum & the other die cut and lightly inked with a Blending Brush) and the anchor (silver embossed on Vellum). Some Linen Thread was tied to the anchor and frayed. The card front was created with the bubble technique panel adhered to a slightly larger piece of Basic White card-stock. A circular Stylish Shape die cut a hole through the card front and also through the Pool Party panel so the scene underneath can be partially seen. The card front was positioned with Dimensionals. A little turtle was added near the hole and some white embossed sea plant was tucked under the card front with it showing over the scene below. A sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set was white heat embossed onto Pool Party card-stock. It was positioned with Mini Dimensionals, with a couple of star fish tucked underneath with some frayed twine (a strand of the Silver Threaded Twine that was sitting on my work station). A few Flat Adhesive-backed Pearls were scattered near the sentiment. I love these Pearls. The inner panel for writing the personal message is a piece of Basic White card-stock with a couple of star fish and sea dollar, a sentiment from the Seaside Bay stamp set and an extra Flat Adhesive-backed Pearl. The snippets of bubble coloured card-stock seen on the back panel were left over from die cutting a panel with a Deckled Rectangle die. A C6 Basic White envelope was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink with one of the sea plant stamps from the Beauty of the Sea stamp set. Thank you for calling in to check out my Coastal Cabana card. I do appreciate you spending time with me. There is more Coastal Cabana creativity so do continue with the blog hop. It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge at CASology. This week's cue word is WAVE. I decided to look through my embossing folders to see if I had any that would fit that theme and was surprised to find 3 of them. I stamped my starfish in different colours and paired them up with different "seaweed" looking dies. The sand stamp is an old wood mounted stamp from South Africa and is about 25 years old!! I added some white Liquid Pearls to give more dimension to the starfish. Which colour and embossing folder do you prefer? It would be a wonderful if you popped along to visit the rest of the Design Team and gave them a wave too. Hello there... We had rain last night... I never thought I'd be so happy to see rain but you can't top the scent of summer rain... It's...
Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome! I have two cards for you today, using one die set. I recently purchased Spellbinders Windows With a View Bundle and have been playing with the Coastal Escape View die set. I created two different cards, one underwater and one a view of a tropical island. This is probably the best bundle of dies that I have ever purchased. I can't wait to create more cards using the Window With a View dies. I started with making the under water card. I began with an A2 sized card base, using Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock. I then used a stripped blue patterned paper as a background. I thought this looked almost like pool tile. I then die cut the port hole using gray cardstock and a mirrored silver cardstock. I also die cut a circle using the largest circle die in this die set and acetate. I used the port hole die and cut the inner circle out from smooth white cardstock. I used this to create the underwater background. I used Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. I then die cut the fish and coral from smooth white cardstock. I colored the coral in using Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I also used Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Lilac and Amethyst. I colored the seaweed in using Distress Oxide inks in Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Cracked Pistachio. I colored the fish in using Copic markers. I die cut a sandy bottom from another circle of smooth white cardstock. Then I created the sand look using Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. I added all the pieces together using Lineco Neutral pH glue and set this aside to dry. I then glued the acetate to the port hole piece. Once dry, I added double sided foam tape to the back of the port hold piece. I glued down the background to the card front. I then added some shaker bits (glitter, blue sprinkles and clear bits) to the background. Then I carefully place the acetate port hole over the background, pressing hard to secure it in place. I then added the anchor and sea shell to the front. I stamped the sentiment using Spellbinders Sending Sunshine Sentiments, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder on black cardstock. For my second card, I started by creating my background pieces. I die cut a rectangle from smooth white cardstock and using MFT's Basket Weave stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge, created the weaved background. I also added Distress Ink in Vintage Photo around the edges of the background. I then die cut the port hole piece from kraft and black cardstock. I die cut a port hole background circle using smooth white cardstock. Then I created the sunset background using Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans. I die cut some waves using a light and dark blue cardstock. I die cut the island and palm tress from smooth white cardstock and colored them in using Copic markers. I also die cut the tropical flowers and leaves from smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I added some glitter gel to the centre stem of each flower. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment using the same sentiment stamp set, VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. I also added black shiny bling to the holes around the port hole on both cards. So one die set can create two very different but very beautiful cards! Be sure to check out the Window With a View bundle at Spellbinders.
Tutaj użyłam: zielonego, żółtego, niebieskiego i morskiego. Później pędzelkiem wodnym (można użyć zwykłego pędzelka) rozprowadzam i mieszam wszystkie kolory ze sobą. Następnie, gdy tekturka jest WCIĄŻ MOKRA pokrywam ją "Glossy accents". Zależało mi, żeby wodorosty wyglądały jak najbardziej naturalnie, dlatego na mokre jeszcze glossy- wysypałam mikrokulki. A później odrobinę gazy pokolorowałam tuszem i przykleiłam do wodorostów...

Whimsy Stamps Die Collection "Build-an-Ocean Die Set" Our line of "Build-a" dies collection make it easy to create fun cards and projects with shapes and accents, and even use them as stand alone elements and focal points. Designed to work with A2 or larger sized cards. Set includes 13 dies - use these accent dies to create an underwater scene. Thin metal dies perfect for all your card making and crafting projects. Must be used with a die cutting machine, such as Cuttlebug, Big Shot, or Wizard. Please note, that it is common for long and/or thin die shapes to bend or warp when used in die machines. This should not cause any issue with the effectiveness of the die when used properly.
Today's card was designed using the Stampin' Up! Seascape Stamp Set and Sea Life Dies. This bundle is stunning!! I love how you can create unique handmade ocean-themed cards.
Hello, my friends! I apologize I’m not around as much this month. The deadline for the play that I’ve been commissioned to write is approaching ahhhh! While it is coming along, I am …
I don't think I have shared this card with you yet - I made it a few months ago now. It was such fun to make, I love these bundles where you can just cut out all different shapes in different colours either stamped or not and then assemble them together. For this card I was inspired by a card on Pinterest - I loved the use of the banner framelit to create an extra layer of interest. It might look like a lot of supplies but this is a fantastic way to use up those little scraps of cardstock as each element is not all that large. I then keep any left over pieces for the next project. I used a base of Tranquil Tide then added Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Soft Seam Foam and Old Olive. I would strongly recommend using the magnetic platform with the big shot machine as these pieces are quite small and once stamped can be tricky to die cut without the help of magnets! Bleibt kreativ! Liebe Grüße Christine

Hi Stampers! Today’s cards take us on a stamping adventure under the sea! The cards were created using the SEASCAPE stamp set and the SEA LIFE DIES, both found in the new Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Here is a look at the cards: SEASCAPE STAMP SET SEA LIFE DIES The SEASCAPE stamp set and the SEA LIFE DIES can be purchased separately or as a bundle for a 10% savings. As you can see, the dies do not cut out any of the images included in the stamp set, but both products do compliment each other allowing for lots of creative options. Of corse you can use the stamp set and dies separately. The dies are a tad different from most others. They are similar to the Seaside Seashells Dies in that the seahorse and large fish dies do not cut the images completely from the cardstock. This allows you to create a “partial pop-up image on a focal panel to add great dimension to your cards. Just a few snips with scissors frees the die cut image for a stand alone die cut to add to a card. The coral die and small fish dies have partial cuts that can be popped out to create texture and dimension. This set of dies truly makes it simple to add lots of texture and dimension to cards. The first two cards I am sharing today were CASEd from cards found on page 12 of the new annual catalog. I changed a few things, but kept the cards very close to the samples in the catalog. This helped me learn how to work with these dies. * For this card I used Coastal Cabana card base and another piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock cut at 5” x 3 3/4”. I used Coastal Cabana ink and the seaweed image from the stamp set to create the background on the 5” x 3 3/4” piece of Coastal Cabana. * I used Basic White cardstock for the seahorse die cut and the coral die cut. I used paper snips to free the seahorse from the cardstock. I colored the seahorse and the coral with Stampin’ Blends (Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight with a tad of Pumpkin Pie). * I stamped the sentiment on Basic White cardstock with Coastal Cabana ink. I used the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut out the sentiment. * I wrapped the seahorse’s tail around the coral, and attached the entire piece to the focal panel with dimensionals. The sentiment is adhered with Stampin’ Seal. I used a Pastel Pearl for the seahorse’s eyes. * This card was fairly quick and easy to make. It all starts with a Pool Party card base. * The Basic White cardstock is 5 1/4” x 4”. I placed the fish die cut on top of the cardstock slightly to the left, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. I used Pool Party ink to stamp the bubbles, and Granny Apple Green footprint the seaweed. When stamping the seaweed lift the fishes tail before stamping. * The Crumb Cake cardstock is 5 1/4” long and stamped with the texture / sand stamp inked with Crumb Cake. It was torn and adhered to the bottom of the Basic White panel. * The Happy Birthday is stamped on a 4” x 1/2” piece of Calypso Coral cardstock. It is adhered to the panel with dimensionals. * I adhered a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock behind the fish image, then adhered the entire panel to the card base. * This card starts with a Basic White card base and a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock cut at 3” x 4”. The seahorse die was centered on the Coastal Cabana cardstock and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. I adhered a scrap piece of Flirty Flaming cardstock behind the die cut panel. I used the bubble stamp to add a few Coastal Cabana bubbles around the seahorse. * The coral was die cut from Basic White cardstock and colored with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I wrapped the tail of the seahorse around the coral, and used a couple of glue dots to adhere the coral to the panel. * The little fish were die cut from scraps of Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. (They remind me of Goldfish crackers. They are adhered to the panel with glue dots. * The panel is attached to the card base with dimensionals. * The greeting was stamped toward the bottom center of the card base with. Coastal Cabana ink. * This card has a Pool Party card base. The front of the card base is stamped with the fish image using Pool Party ink. * The Basic White panel is 5” x 3 3/4”. I used the texture / sand stamp and Crumb Cake ink to stamp across the bottom of the panel. I used a blending brush and Pool Party ink to add a touch of color to the remainder of the Basic White panel. * I die cut the large fish from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut away from the cardstock with paper snips. The fish is adhered to the panel with glue dots. * The coral was die cut from Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. (This coral is a piece cut off the coral I die cut for the previous card.) * The small fish were die cut from Mango Melody cardstock and are adhered with glue dots. * The greeting was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Coastal Cabana ink, and fussy cut around. It is adhered to a piece of DSP from the Pansy Petals DSP. The piece is attached to the focal panel with dimensionals. * The focal panel is adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Seal. I really like the texture and dimension these dies add to cards and other paper crafting projects. I hope you give these fun dies a try. That is it for today. Thank you for stopping by for a little adventure under the sea! Until next time... Stamp Happy! Kim All stamps and stamped images ©️1990-2021 Stampin’ Up!®️

Hi Guys! So, my card this week is another pop-up (definately my favourites to make!) and I decided to go for an under the sea theme....
One of my co-workers recently welcomed a new baby boy into his family! I decided to whip up a quick card for all of us to sign and thought I'd share it today. I confess that I don't own a lot of baby-themed stamp sets, so I had to get a little creative. I ended
