Hello guys! Well, it's about time I finally shared the last of my March Papertrey Ink release projects with you all. So let me get started...
Hi! I hope every one's weekend was fabulous!! I was really ready for the weekend, the week before was really hard for me. I learned that i did not make in into a Bachelor program at a somewhat local university. I am very disappointed to say the least! I'm not sure what i will be doing going forward. I will be talking to an advisor and am looking at a certificate program that i might do while i wait for year to go by when i can re-apply.... Its really up in the air right now and i still have a week and a day to go before the end of the semester. So enough of that depressing stuff, on to a card!!! I made this way back when and the card been sitting on my desk for awhile and the photos have been ready, figured today is good as any to share it with you!! At one time i had cut a row of butterflies out of white card stock, the butterflies went on one project and decided to keep the negatives to use down the road. I think i cut 6 butterflies, but i trimmed off 3 for my card. I covered the white card stock by adding a few colors of distress inks. Next i covered a piece of paper with some printed washi tape and then adhered the butterfly panel over it. I adhered this on a white card base. Then i die cut a tag, stamped and stamped the sentiment. I also found a gem that matched the ink i used and added it to my tag. The tag when on the card with foam dots! That's it today! Stop by tomorrow for my project for The Alley Way Stamps sneak peek!!! This Feathered Friends set 15 die set will help you create this cute little bird without the help of stamps. This die set is from Papertrey Ink. This nine piece thin metal die set is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). The assembled bird measures 3 5/8" x 2 3/4", the feet measure 3/4" x 3/8". and the large wing measures 1 7/8" x 3/4". This die set coordinates with the entire Feathered Friends Collection (sold separately). These dies are made in the USA.
The Papertrey Ink July Countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight. Now, let me get started!... First up, Little Hot Rod by Melissa Bickford. I chose to work with the adorable airplane image, stamped it in Orange Zest and Smokey Shadow inks and mounted it over a Fabulous Frames frame (stamped in Aqua Mist). Then, finished the card off with a stamped sentiment strip and a few die cut clouds. I just love how tiny these die cut clouds are!! Next, Floral Foliage also by Melissa Bickford. Cutting up of the image panels seems to be something I'm stuck on these day. I just love working with larger images, dicing them up and piecing them back together, which is exactly what I've done for this card. After stamping a Signature Greeting II sentiment and patching the pieces back together, I finished the card off with a sweet bird and a bit of baker's twine. Last, but not least, Heart-2-Heart again by Melissa Bickford. I began this card by stamping a card base with a few Hello Sunshine sun rays, in a color combo of Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise. Stamped a sentiment strip and attach it to the base of the card front. Die cut, stamped in Versamark ink, heat embossed and attached a few clouds. Then finished the card off with a pop of color, a tiny hand cut stamped heart. Well, that's all of them! Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous projects as well... A pretty vellum and gold window, the Copic coloring was done on the backside of the cross. Kid Kudos & Additions by Erin Lincoln. I combined this set with the Lunchbox Note die. Polka Dot Parade #8 by Melissa Bickford. Created a funky edge using three fall colored pattern papers. Finished the card off with a sentiment and enamel dots. Boutique Borders: Christmas by Dawn McVey. I combined this pretty frame with a sentiment from the Instant Photo: Holidays set. Holiday Home by Melissa Bickford. This set was used in conjunction with the One Liner "Love" die, which I impressed into the card (using the impression plate sandwich for my Cuttlebug). Scent-imentals by Nichole Heady. Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink August Countdown and the first Design Team group post. Today's post is all about the new Halloween sets... Mr. Bones, Happy Haunting & Tremendous Treats: Halloween. I've got a lot to share with you today... 1 tag, 2 treat wrap and 4 cards. So let me get started... First up... Mr. Bones, by Heather Nichols. I've combined this set with my Spider Web Die Trio and used the small and medium sizes to impress webs into a Rustic White cardstock panel. Then stamped the panel with a Mr. Bones sentiment and attached it over two types of Orange Zest pattern paper. Die cut, stamped and attached the cute spider. Up next... the tag, using this adorable skeleton image. I forgot to include an original shot of this skeleton, but I wanted a bit of movement from his arms. Here's how: I die cut and stamped two skeletons and then trimmed the arms above and below the elbow joints. With a couple of mini brad handy for reassembly. I attached the skeleton (with the arms trimmed below the joint) directly to the tag and kept the arms (trimmed above the joint) for attaching. Placed the arms in the desired position and then, using a piercing tool, I was able to pierce a hole through all layers and held everything together with the mini brads. Finished the card off with a heat embossed sentiment. Onto the second set... Happy Haunting, by Melissa Bickford. An adorable build your own monster set. I began this card by masking and stamping a row of ghoulish ghost in a color combo of Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet & Melon Berry. Trimmed the edge and finished the card off with a sentiment. Next... the treat wrap. Thes little packages were die cut using the Lunchbox Note Die from Royal Velvet, Orange Zest and True Black cardstock. Stamped each one with the monster outline and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to create ghostly figures. The inside features a mini die cut web, using the Spider Web Die Trio, folded over a candy filled glassine bag. I fix the bag into place with a bit of score tape. The third and final set for today... Tremendous Treats: Halloween, by Nichole Heady. For this card I chose to work with the spider image, I stamped him three times onto Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise and Simply Chartreuse pattern papers. Stamped the spider again, this time onto rustic white cardstock and colored (using Copic Markers) the heads to coordinate with the pattern papers. Strung twine spider webs (using the technique featured here), attached the spiders and finished the card off with a sentiment. Here's A Note: The twine used is actually cream colored crochet thread and I've had the same role for almost two years now. In case your wondering, you should be able to find your own at your local craft store. Last, but definitely not least... my favorite card of the day. Using the Take Three Die, I cut six squares and embellished each one with either an image or die cut web. Then finished the card off with brads and a sentiment. Well, there you have it. I hope you've enjoyed! Just remember that all of these sets will be available for purchase beginning August 15, at Papertrey Ink. Hi there! I've got the rest of my Papertrey Ink Release goodies to share with you today! Here is Lisa's new gorgeous set, Flutterby Friend. Loving this set! I've heat embossed the foliage on the base of a Simply Chartreuse cardstock block, then wrapped it with black embroidery floss and embellished it with a fluttery butterfly. This fluttery butterfly started out as two stamped butterflies. Stamped the butterfly twice onto white cardstock, colored only the right sides of each butterfly and then cut each colored half out. Then attached the two sides together (so that both colored wings faced out) and then attach the button body. Next up are a couple of Heather's new sets called Night, Night Moon and Fillable Frames #5. I cut the front panel of the card base much shorter than the back panel, so that... The pattern on the back panel of the card base only showed when the card was closed. The hand stamped pattern was created using one of the adorable border images from the Night, Night Moon set stamped a few time in Sweet Blush. Here is a close up of the jeweled baby rattle. Melissa's new sets for this month are All About You & All About You Additions. Again, I cut the front panel shorter than the back. Created a flower stem by stamping "crazy about" multiple times along the edge of the card base. Inked up the large solid flower image first in Berry Sorbet and then rocked and rolled it into Orange Zest ink. I love how this give the flower a gradient transition between colors! These coffee cups from Nichole's set Tea For Too Additions are just too cute! This one cup in particular coordinates with a old favorite of mine... Beautiful Blooms. Stamped the leaf image from Beautiful Blooms in Fresh Snow onto the kraft base. After stamping the tea cup I gave it a pop of color with a Copic Marker and a few buttons. To finish things off, here is a set of fun tags using Heather's final set from this release called Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger. Die cut the tags using the coordinating Library Card Tag Die and then stamped each one using one of the background patterns include in the stamp set. Gave each tag a topper using half of a Fillable Frames #5 die cut. And there you have it! All of the supplies used are listed in the the Papertrey Ink gallery. Hope you all enjoy the new goodies from yet another fabulous release! I'd love to hear what you guys are looking forward to receiving the most! If you'd like to share of course. Have a wonderful day!!! Maile
Hello and welcome, friends! It's my turn for this month's Project Inspiration from Papertrey Ink! I'm sharing all of the step-by-step photos that are included in the newsletter, but I will add more details to explain the process even more. One of my fabulous and supportive blog readers asked a question about one of my cards during the March release; I had mentioned that I used inspiration from Pinterest and she wanted to know more about that. I decided to incorporate that answer into this post as well, so Becky, this is for YOU!! Thank you for your sweet support and kind words! I have saved things on Pinterest that pop up on my feed that 1. remind me of a stamp set I have 2. remind me of a die set I have 3. I like the colors 4. I like the theme etc. Hopefully you get the idea. For today's card I was inspired by a baby shower invite that I had saved. When I saw the truck and the berries it reminded me of the Patriot die collection and the Sweet Celebration Die so it went to the inspiration folder! To begin, I die cut all of the pieces for the truck from white cardstock and then colored them with Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral, and a touch of Festive Berries. This is the inspiration photo. I assembled the truck using liquid glue and then cut and colored the leaves, flowers, and berries using the same technique as the truck. I used the Exquisite Leaf Frame Hot Foil Plate and champagne foil on a panel of Berry Sorbet cardstock and trimmed it down. I used the Nifty Plaid Background Stamp using Fresh Snow ink and then die cut the panel using the middle size in the Love to Layer: Rectangles. I also die cut my favorite in the On the Edge: Scallops Collection from Pale Peony cardstock. I adhered the scalloped piece to the hot foil panel and added it to an A2 card base using foam squares. I also added the plaid panel using additional foam squares. I stamped the sentiment, which is one of my favorites and is included in the Feathered Friends Mini 3 stamp set, in black ink and then die cut it using the smallest die in the Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets. I placed the truck and then the sentiment above it using foam squares. I filled the truck with foliage and berries and one berry blossom. I also tucked bits and pieces underneath the truck and off the side of the sentiment. I ended up with quite a few pieces left over, so I will most likely put them to good use! I added glitter to the leaves, berries, and flowers for sparkle and shine! As you can see, the inspiration photo was a great starting off point, but from there, I just had fun doing my own thing! This card was a joy to create! Thanks for fluttering by!

But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight. Now, let me get started!... Wishes Come True by Lizzie Jones. I stamped the candles in a fun color combo of hawaiian shores, limeade ice, summer sunrise and raspberry fizz. Then attached the panel at a slight angle. Finished the card off with a sentiment strip and a wrapping of grey twine. Polka Dot Parade #6 by Melissa Bickford. The tree top and leaves were stamped onto a punched limeade ice circle. Then a few lovely embellishments to finish the card off. Summer Hills by Nichole Heady. I just love the simplicity of this card! To give it a good pop of color I paper pieced the image by cutting out and assembling different layers featured in the design. If you look at the profile you can see just how thick the layers are. Balloon Bash by Lizzie Jones and Scrolling Script by Nichole Heady. With the swirls as my inspiration I drew by hand an extra length of swirly balloon line, enough to hold the balloon in place and to extend off the edge of the card. First Place by Melissa Bickford. I stamped and assembled a group of ribbon ends with a sentiment and stapled them into place using my tiny attacher. Delightful Dahlia Additions by Dawn McVey. I just love this set, the detailed images really make these blooms shine and they are easy to work with! I paired these pretties with the Mat Stack 7 Die Collection. Well, that's all of them! Hello all! Just popping in quickly to share a simple card with you today, that uses an impressing technique with Papertrey Ink dies.I started today's card by stamping the sentiment, from Wonderful Words Additions, and the flower, from Modern Basics, onto a white card base.I carefully placed and temporarily attached the "Forever" Wonderful Words Die into place, onto the front of the card base. Then ran it through my die cutting machine, using the proper embossing plate sandwich. This is pretty much the same technique that Erin Lincoln shared in the Make It Monday #13 video, using only the die instead of both a die and impression plate. I then finished the card off with a button and white embroidery floss. Easy peasy! Well, that's it from me today. Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a super one! Welcome! We've been on vacation for a couple of weeks now, but it's time to get back into the saddle again. How about a Valentines card today? It could really be any kind of kid-card--not just a Valentine. I thought my son would like it. The focal image is from Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Valentine, while the sentiment is from the Tiny Treats: Valentines set. I didn't actually NEED this many Copic markers--at least I wouldn't have if I had planned ahead! I started with the YG11.YG13/YG17 greens, but when I found this October Afternoon patterned paper, my greens didn't quite work. I tweaked them with YG60's and YG90's, mostly. I used two Spellbinders die templates here, a Standard Circles Large and a Pinking Circles Small. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and edges with Chamomile Distress ink (Papertrey Ink). Cardstock is PTI Rustic White and Simply...
Hi there! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my aunt for Mother's Day. I used the same layout as one one of my other Doodlie Do cards, just changed up the colors and a few other little things. Have you ever found a stamp set, that no matter how many times you use it, still brings inspiration every time you pull it out? In case you haven't guessed, Doodlie Do does that for me. *wink* I am still so smitten with this stamp set. Anyway, onto the card... Haha! I used Background Basics: Tin Types for the lattice pattern, and some Pure Poppy bitty dot paper edged with the Pinked Edge border die. The flowers were colored with copics, and it may be a bit hard to see in the picture, but I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to them as well. Hope you like! Thanks for stopping by! :) Supplies (all PTI unless noted): Stamps: Doodlie Do, BB: Tin Types Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pure Poppy, Tea Dye Duo Paper: SS White, Scarlet Jewel, Pure Poppy Pattern Pack Dies: Pinked Edge Border Other: Copics, Popdots, Pure Poppy Bakers Twine, Harvest Gold button, Wink of Stella Pen, Signo White gel pen

Hello Friends! I"m excited that I got the chance to play along with the Papertrey Ink Blog hop this month! I always want to, and try, but it seems like I end up waiting until the last minute and then don't have enough time to get something done. This month they had this beautiful inspiration photo to get you started. I took many things from this photo. I used the colors, the quatrefoil pattern and the blended look too! I first cut out the Quatrefoil cutting plate then used it as a stencil to sponged a little distress ink on a watercolor paper panel. I started with Picked Raspberry at the bottom, Shaded Lilac in the middle, and Peacock Feathers at the top. The bird, the flowers, and the leafy branch were cut out using the Songbird dies from some paper that I had previously sponged with those same colors and spritzed with water. The leaves I glued down flat to my watercolor panel, the birds and flowers I used foam tape. I added Doodlebug Sprinkles to the center of the flowers and scattered a couple of random ones around. I mounted the whole watercolor panel to an A2 card base. Papertrey Ink Supplies used: Songbirds stamp set Songbird dies Quatrefoil cutting plate Bitty Button Stacks dies Thank you so much for stoping by today! I hope you enjoy the hop! Hugs, Kay :)

It's that time of month again--the July Papertrey Ink release! I have a few pieces to share with you here today, and a few more in my Papertrey Gallery as well. (All ink/cardstock details are listed in the gallery.) First up is a card made with the It's Official set. I'm not typically a collage-y card maker, but I had a great time with this one! It also uses the new Book Print Impression Plate in the background, as well as the Spiral Notebook page and Just the Ticket dies. I love the scored tear-lines on both of these! The Jar Tag and butterfly dies are from previous PTI releases. I've been wishing for a ticket stamp and die for a while now, so I was really glad to hear that Nichole and Betsy had collaborated to create just such a creature! Here I've used the new Admit One Impression...

Papertrey Ink Blog
Hello and welcome to the second Papertrey Ink group post! All of the products you are seeing today will be available at the Papertrey Ink online store at 10:00pm EST on January 15th. Oh we have some beautiful things in store for you today! We are introducing Betsy's final Petite Places: Home & Garden. It is so cute and I had so much fun playing with it! I'm sad that this is the last in the Petite Places line, but I love everything Betsy makes, so I'm sure I will love what all she has in store for 2016! For my first project I created this cute little spring scene in a tuna can! Can you believe it? I've had this in the back of my mind for some time and of course I picked the one time I was really short on time to do it! I made this up and figured it out as I went along. I kept telling my daughter the whole time "if this doesn't work, I won't have time to do anything else". Thank goodness it did indeed work out like I planned! I covered the inside and the outside of the can with Aqua Mist card stock and then had to build the little platform for the house to sit on. It was pretty easy. I just cut a piece of card stock about 1 1/4 inches wide and folded the ends over. I then glued that to the inside of the can. I cut out a circle and stamped the leafy pattern on it. I cut about 1/3 of the circle off and that is what I glued over the piece inside. I then had a place to sit my house. In the very back I glued one of the background scenes from the Petite Places Patterned Paper Collection cut from a circle. I stamped the trees from the new Petite Places: Home & Garden set, cut them out and adhered them to the background with foam tape. I then glued my little house and fence in there. Here's a front view. I used the Shaker Shapes circle dies to go around it and cover up the rim. I glued several of them together so it would be nice and sturdy and wouldn't bend. I then glued the leaves and flowers onto the front. I glued some white ribbon around the whole thing and tied a bow at the top. Petite Places- Ornament STAMPS: Petite Places: Home & Garden, Turning A New Leaf, Twig Wreath DIES: Petite Places: Home & Garden, Turning A New Leaf, Twig Wreath, Shaker Shapes Circle PAPER: Stamper’s Select, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, Mint Julep INK: Aqua Mist, Mint Julep, Soft Stone, Sweet Blush, Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf, Kraft, Autumn Rose, Tropical Teal My last project is a card I made with the little shed from the Petite Places: Home & Garden dies. I just cut them out of card stock, no stamping. The trees are from the Petite Places: Pop Up Trees set and I cut them out of the new gorgeous Mint Julep card stock and Spring Moss. I inlaid the different pieces back into the centers. Thought that was kind of a fun idea! :) The sentiment is from the new Bitty Butterflies set and I stamped it on one of the new Outlined Dies. Happy Wednesday! I have a card to share for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge. I got my layout inspiration from the top cup. I started with some stampers select white card stock to die cut and layered two of the To the Point Edgers dies to create a scalloped off centered pointed angle to mimic one of the varying angles from the stacked cups. I layered this panel onto the simple blue plaid pattern paper from Simple Impressions: Pattern Paper Collection using some foam tape to mimic the background in the photo and to add some dimension and the look of texture. Next, I die cut and stamped some of the flowers and leaves from Botanical Bounty stamp set and Botanical Bounty die set. I used hibiscus burst, pure poppy, raspberry fizz, scarlet jewel, prairie grass, ripe avocado, and olive twist inks. I was able to stamp these images perfectly and create shading using the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. I arranged my floral bouquet to mimic the floral arrangement seen in the top cup. I added a sentiment from one of my favorite PTI sentiment sets of all time that is soon to be retired, Vintage Picnic Sentiments. I added everything to stampers select white card stock for my card base. I added touches of wink of stella to all o my flowers for some added sparkle. I finished my card with a few clear sequins. As always thanks so much for hopping by!
Howdy everyone! Welcome back, so glad you could join me for day 4 of the Papertrey Ink April Countdown. For today my focus is on showcasing a couple of sets... Framed Out #3 by Heather Nichols and my set once again... Trendy Tree Tops. Both of which are sets that I am currently loving! So, let me get started...First up, this little number featuring Framed Out #3 all on its own. The smaller frame makes a statement when stamped across a card front, I just love this pattern. I've stamped it in a color combo of Hawaiian Shores, Melon Berry and Simply Chartreuse.Stamped a sentiment banner and attached it across the card front with dimensional adhesive. Finished the card off with a couple Smokey Shadow buttons. For my next card I've worked with another single image from Framed Out #3, the tiny "HI!" circle.I hand stamped a pattern strip in a color combo of Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry and Summer Sunrise and then layered a Trendy Tree Tops sentiment, in True Black, on top. Attached the stamped panel over cardstock strips of Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise.Next up, another combination of Framed Out #3 and Trendy Tree Tops. I began by hand stamping a pattern paper using the plaid circle in a color combo of Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise and Harvest Gold. Then attached the stamped panel to a white card base using dimensional adhesive.I then die cut the heart circle and used the tiny hearts to...Embellish each plaid circle. Then finished the card of with a sentiment, frame and rhinestones.Up next are a couple layered tree cards. This one has a bit of a masculine look with a color combo of Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow, Simply Chartreuse and Kraft.I die cut a couple kraft colored hills and attached them to the card base at different dimensions. I then assembled a layered tree and adhered it between the hills. This ones a little more girly. I began by pulling out a few Jillibean Soup pattern papers out of my stash.Again, I die cut and layered a couple hills and tucked a pattern paper tree in between. Then finished the card off with a button and a stamped sentiment (which happens to be the only stamping on this card, gasp!)Lastly, a card featuring the Trendy Tree Tops Die Collection. I began by die cutting four 1 3/4" circles from different Melon Berry pattern papers and then attached them to a Rustic White card base. Then die cut three Trendy Tree Tops heart circles from Melon Berry cardstock. Stamped one with a Strawberry Patch sentiment (again, the only stamping) and attached over the pattern paper circles with dimensional adhesive. Finished the card off with the remaining die cut hearts. Well, that's it from me today but do remember... both of these sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please share! Don't forget to stop by Nichole Heady's blog, she is also featuring both Trendy Tree Tops and Framed Out #3. Hello and welcome to the fourth day of the Papertrey Ink July countdown! Today's group post is all about the Pack Your Bags, Get Lost and These United States stamp sets, plus coordinating dies. Not only has today's theme had me crafting with paper, but also crafting up ideas of all kinds of fun summertime travels. I'm ready to hit the road and so is the assortment of cards I've made. They're perfect for sending a special someone on their way. Hope you like what I have to share with you today... Here's a unique birthday card perfect for a birthday girl who loves to travel or one who has grand plans of taking a fanciful trip on her big day. The bottom suitcase was the feature that initiated this color combo. It was stamped in harvest gold and then inked with melon berry polka dots using the stamp kissing technique. The other two suitcases were stamped to match making the perfect traveling girls matching set. This sentiment is from the new Birthday Classics: August stamp set. Being a California girl I just had to let my home state shine by. I began by piecing die cut states together on a portion of this card front. The individual united states dies are obviously not sized to fit perfectly together like a puzzle, but you easily get the idea. I kind of like how the imperfectness gives this card a bit of a quirky and unexpected look. Finished the card off with a heart over home and a coordinating sentiment. Using the new Get Lost stamp set I stamped a colorful pattern onto a die cut tag (cut using the new Tag Sale #11 die). Two card stock strips across the front for the sentiment, a few enamel dots for embellishment and this card is ready to go. Well, that concludes my look at Pack Your Bags, Get Lost and These United States. Just remember... these stamp sets and other product I've used today will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning July 15th. Now, be sure to see what the rest of the Papertrey Ink design team has in store for you today...
