Hi crafters, I'm very excited to take part in a new to me blog hop today. The Stampin Dreams Blog Hop is featuring projects in the theme of Christmas in July. I love getting a head start on my Christmas makes. As soon as I saw the Festive Foliage Background Stamp in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue I knew I wanted to use it with dark cardstock and gold heat embossing. So that's exactly what I did for this card! I made a card base using half a sheet of A4 Evening Evergreen cardstock. I stamped the Festive Foliage image in Versamark ink onto Evening Evergreen cardstock and heat embossed with Stampin' Emboss Gold Powder. I added Evening Evergreen ink to the edges of the panel with a Blending Brush and then adhered the panel to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. The banner die from the Tasteful Labels Dies was used to cut this out and then popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished off the card by adding some Red Rhinestone Jewels. The full blog hop list is below so simply click on to the next participant, Gez, to be inspired for your Christmas makes. So today another CURVY card using Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper and matching Bundle. Christmas Gleaming stamps and Punch pack. Happy Sunday to you! I'm super excited to share another fun challenge over at the Paper Players. Hooray! Lesley is our challenge hostess this week and she is in the holiday spirit, indeed. It's beginning to look a lot like...(a Paper Players) Christmas... I often struggle with using "traditional" holiday color combos, but I really had fun with this one. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the big ol' box of new stampin' goodies that arrived on my doorstep last week. So red and green it was...and wait, WHAT was that?...it was a Clean and Simple challenge, also? Really? Since CAS is JUST tough for me...so I'm calling dibs on something new: "CASS" (clean-and-simple-sparkles) I hope it catches on! Lol! The LAYOUT is CAS, but I think I went overboard with the embellies. BUT it is a Christmas card! It's supposed to be "merry and bright"...right? I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the stamped image. This card sparkles in the sunlight like a cute little vampire, let me tell you. (Any Twilight fans out there?) Who loves Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder? I do, I DO!! I used it for all of the stamped images, from the Christmas Lodge stamp set. Can I just tell you how MUCH I am loving this stamp set? SO perfect for classic holiday cards. Finally, here is a quick shot of the inside of the card: Thanks for stopping by! Please visit the rest of the Paper Players DT gals to see what they have cooked up for this festive challenge. We sure hope you will join us this week and play along! The Paper Players Design Team Ann Schach Anne Marie Hile Jaydee Julie Marshall LeAnne Pugliese Lesley Croghan Nance Leedy Tara Bilbao Cindy Hall (October GD) Have a HAPPY day today! :) Stampin' Up! One of the most popular bundles in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is the Christmas Quilt Bundle. It's easy to see why!! It's a versatile stamp set that makes elegant cards which appeal to almost anyone who has ever snuggled deep into a homemade quilt on a chilly night! This is one of the cards I created for Fall Flair and it was so much fun to make! I've made of lot of them and it never gets tiring . . . although my friends Cindy Standal and Kathy Trussel might feel differently as they worked on
