I started with this Red Stamped Tulip and die cut the grid into the corner for interest. I decided that look might fit better with Die Cut Tulips, so I tried that next. I think it does add more to the grid look for the tulips to be more textural. What do you think? Then, I tried straight stamping with a yellow interior and black stamen which has a realistic quality to me. Then, I used the die cuts to create pink tipped white tulips for this card. I combined Petal Pink Tulips with the gorgeous Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper for this card. On this final card, I used Polished Pink for bright, happy, and bold pink, die cut tulips. Loved today's sketch, so had to play along! I used new stamps from Heartfelt Creations Sunny Days collection. I am definitely ready for warmer weather, flowers and the buzzing bees! TFL!
I think the Ivory blend is more how Magnolias appear in bloom. Wish I could figure a way to get their lovely aroma as well!
Happy Birthday to Joan! To celebrate her birthday, we were supposed to look back at all of the TLC challenges she has hosted and choose one. I picked TLC360-Twine it Up. I LOVE my twine. I used some baker's twine to create the phone cord on my card today. I used new stamps from The Stamps Of Life and one of my Project Life journal cards from Studio Calico. Today's CAS was a color challenge. I decided to make a collage of different postage stamps with the new The Stamps Of Life set called postage2stamp. Before I was a rubber/clear stamp collector, I was a postage stamp collector. It is something my aunt introduced me to many, many years ago. I will definitely be making her a card with this set soon. :) TFL! http://emmielouwho.blogspot.com/2012/10/tsol-if-friends-were-stamps.html
I cased this card from I believe Lisa Curcio. Had never tried spritzing the block before. Enjoyed immensely and have since used the technique several other ways (crumb cake spritzed makes a great sandy beach look)! Thanks, Ms. Kittie, for your challenge.
Today's IC takes us to LEIF. I had fun perusing this site, but fell head over heels for this woodgrain, bird doorstop: http://www.leifshop.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/songbird-doorstop I decided to pull out my SU punch to create a clean card with this concept. I used a sentiment from PTI's Signature Series. TFL!

Today's challenge- to use sun rays on your card. I used a zig zag circle die from Sizzix and some stamps from Stephanie Barnard and The Stamps Of Life to create this sunny scene. TFL!
Today's Free 4 All challenge is to make a graduation/congratulation card for a grad without the grad type images of a cap, gown, diploma.... I made this card for a grad using a turtle shell from The Stamps Of Life new release! I was trying to come up with a cool way to use this stamp without making a turtle and this card is the end product. TFL! http://emmielouwho.blogspot.com/
For this week's CAS challenge we were to use the colors, kraft, brown, vanilla and red. I used a small strip of DP from Scribble Scrabble. My tree, leaves and sentiment are from The Stamps Of Life set, Trees2build. I used some distress inks to sponged around my card base and around the tree ( I got a bit overzealous sponging around that tree!). Added some gingham ribbon and called it a card! TFL! http://emmielouwho.blogspot.com/
Today's challenge is "May Flowers"! I wanted to use my new dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur collection. TFL!
Hard to find something suitable for grandson's 17th upcoming birthday. And Lydia wants something using an SAB stamp for her team's #ublueSAB16 challenge, so here 'tis!
This week's CAS challenge was a sketch challenge inspired by this cutie card by Stampinout! I used the sketch to help me make the 20 housewarming cards my real estate agent has commissioned. I used the newly released Ippity set, House a Home. 5 down, 15 to go! TFL.
