MODULAR is a set of notebooks that plays with covers, sheets and rubber bands. We liked the idea of making an unfinished product that takes shape in your hands. This is why we have chosen the set-up with elastic bands which allows you to disassemble and reassemble the notebooks according to personal needs. In short, MODULAR is our invitation to freedom, to fantasy made on paper. The set contains two notebooks already set up (1 A5 format and 1 A6 format), but the binding with elastic bands allows you to disassemble them as you like: you can change the order of the internal sheets, play swapping the covers, decide to assemble everything together in the largest format notebook. This is the declination of Modular dedicated to MONDRIAN.

You can’t achieve the ‘thousand sheets’ of a mille-feuille using filo pastry, but this smart swap from traditional puff pastry works very well
Here are seven easy swaps anyone can make to get a little closer to a zero waste lifestyle. These are small purchases that can have a big impact.
Who doesn't find small booklets charming? We have had a good response to previous ZINES swaps (2014 and 2016) so - let's make some more. The Zines we make to swap are small folded booklets starting with an 8+1/2" x 11" piece of sturdy paper, which when folded four times will make eight equal pages including a title page and a back page. (Card stock is too thick to fold well.) From a previous "Chocolate Swap" If you are looking at the unfolded piece of paper, only one side of the paper will be decorated. Four "pages" will be right side up, the other four "pages" will appear upside down (before it's all folded up). After I decorate, fold, cut, then refold a Zine, I use double-stick tape to keep the page edges properly aligned. You could decorate your full sheet of paper for background, then finish off each "page." Or completely compose each "page" separately. You may draw, paint, rubber stamp, collage, create digital art or use a combination of media. SOME IDEA STARTERS: Tell a story, tell YOUR story Illustrate a hobby Your first car Describe a vacation, or "If I Could Go Anywhere..." Explore a theme Experiment with media Your favorite pet The perfect dream Use colors, shapes, words, photo's Make a super-hero/heroine comic Feature items you collect Your favorite food/dessert/recipe(s) etc. Please somewhere on (or inside) your Zine write "MMSA" and include your name and contact information. If you want to make multiples of one layout, reproductions of your original are acceptable for this swap. I have taken my originals to a professional printer to have them duplicated on larger paper which I then cut down to proper size. (See second link for suggestions.) From a previous "Chocolate" swap I have put together two tutorials about ZINE design (see links below) for those who are unfamiliar with this art form or for those who want to review the process: How To Make A Zine - Part 1 shows directions starting from scratch with a blank form (without art). How To Make A Zine - Part 2 shows directions using actual Zines I have made. Click on this link to view Karen Isaacson's Zine-construction tutorial TECHNIQUE: Make four folds. Design a title page, decorate other seven pages with images and/or sayings, fold in half, make one cut MEDIA: Collage, paint, ink, rubber stamped images, mixed media; digital is also allowed THEME: Up to the participant FOLDED SIZE PARAMETERS: approximately 2+3/4" x 4+1/4" CHECKLIST: 1 - 4 Zines, self-addressed envelope with your return-address label and postage affixed NOTE: Sturdy paper that folds well is recommended. Card stock is NOT the best choice as it is too bulky to fold neatly. HINT: If you mail your ZINES partly unfolded, your postage rate may be less than if they are folded shut and therefore thicker.
My favorite Dutch cookies, I ate boxes full of Spritsen when I was studying. Delicious buttery cookies, they are even better dipped in chocolate 😉
This maker was inspired by an old post here on Make: Online, of the "Top Ten Most Useful Knots," to create a wallet card of several useful knots.
From Real Simple.
I recommend them to everyone.
