Welcome to Season 5 of You Are You podcast! This season will be a real-time, day in the life-style, journey of what it looks like to pursue a God-given dream. In my case, this is building a platform that helps Christian women seek God for emotional health and healing. Friends, it’s true isn’t it, that God has given us ALL dreams. They feel bigger than we can accomplish — maybe even dare to dream. We might think we don’t have all the right qualifications. But God is the expert at equipping the ca

Yes its that time of year again when I release my latest stamps and stencil Four stamp sets this time, all made from collages from my ledger journal The first is t Two heads are better than one. You can never have enough heads in my opinion!!! This one sis definitely a favourite already!!! Winston and Lulu. Winston's is designed by my lovely daughter, Jay, The Resident bit of Glamour, and a fabulous job she did. Then we have a combination of the two sets in a smaller size, specially for cards or tags. As usual all of my stamps mix and match with my previous releases and over the next week I will be showing you tons of examples. And, of course, no release would be complete without a set of my , Oh so me!!!. sayings. Now on to stencils. Its seems like however many I draw, you still all want more lol. First off the all over background designs, available in large and small. Hearts Circles Hexagons Leaves The shape stencils are proving so popular , so here's two more sets. Again available in large and small. With these you get the outer and the inner part of the stencils. Country Nature Next is a new addition to the Dylusions family. Border stencils in large and small. You have all heard me say, so many times, Backgrounds are for backgrounds and borders are for borders!!! So here are some specially made for that purpose. They can be cut up to use separately or kept as a whole piece. Heres a few samples, there will be tons more over the next week, a few step by steps and hopefully I will be filming the odd video or two !!! Enjoy xx

One of the stamp sets that can be earned FREE with any $90AUD purchase during Sale-A-Bration is "The Gang's All Meer" Stamp Set", which I had the pleasure of working with for today's Blog Hop. Let me show you how to create the "shadow effect" that is the focal point of my card. Gather the supplies: Stamp Set of choice, Shimmery White Card, Inks you wish to use for your sunset colours, sponges and a Black Stampin' Write marker. Start by punching a circle from a Post It Note and place it onto centre of the Shimmery White Card. Sponge sunset colours - Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Flirty Flamingo. Once you have the sponged the sunset, remove the Post It note and then stamp chosen image, ensuring a portion appears in the "sun" area. Now, take a Black Stampin' Write marker and fill in the stamped image. I used the brush tip to fill the main portion of the image and then the fine tip to trace the edges of the stamped image. Using the brush tip end of the marker, I have coloured the base of the card front and then stamped the Palm tree image from the new Timeless Tropical stamp set. Need more inspiration with the uber cute Meerkats? Here are two creations I previously shared on Instagram. Using the Cacti, Lizard and Party Hat stamps, I have stamped and coloured the images on a piece of Whisper White card and then die cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies along with the Granny Apple Green card behind. The Meerkat Gang has been stamped in Memento, colouring using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut. The "Happy Birthday" greeting was created using the Well Said Stamp Set, white heat embossing the two sentiments onto Black card. For the next card I created a sunset sponged background, stamped it with the "gang of Meerkats" and inserted it behind a "photo frame" made from Whisper White card that has been embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder. The Meerkat images were coloured with Stampin' Blends, fussy cut and adhered with mini dimensionals over the stamped image inside the frame. I couldn't resist adding the line of lizards along the bottom of the photo frame which were also coloured with Blends, fussy cut and adhered with mini dimensionals. That is all from me today. Up next in this months Blog Hop is my super talented friend, Jennifer Picard with her stunning project which I am sure you will totally love. Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 2 of an incredible blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW Yay You Release from Simon Says Stamp! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE in the Galleries created just for this release! And check out the graphic below to receive a FREE Beautiful die set with any purchase and the coupon code below through May 25, 2022 as well - while supplies last (code expires at 11:59 PM EDT)!!! I have two cards to share today using Nuvo Shimmer powders with this fabulous new cling background stamp from the release. (NOTE: I had to laugh when Jennifer McGuire posted her video earlier this week with something similar for backgrounds - I made these backgrounds about a week before that video posted! It's funny how different designers can randomly think of the same products at the same time like this...) My first card is all light, bright, and airy - makes my little white-space-loving-heart so happy! For both cards I'm sharing today, I used the same technique. I heat embossed the Arches Background in white on watercolor paper, taped the panel to a board, then sprinkled on different colors of Shimmer Powder, and finally misted well with water. The shimmer powders pool into different areas of the heat embossing, and you get these marvelous different color effects that are simply magical! This first card uses Golden Sparkler Nuvo Shimmer Powder - it is one of my favorites, since I feel it works really well for masculine designs, not to mention celebrations such as weddings or anniversaries! Sentiment was created with the new You Did It wafer die, cut 3 times from white cardstock and stacked together, then with a vellum shadow layer before popping up with foam adhesive on the background. I finished off with a few coordinating sparkly jewels tucked around the sentiment. My second card was created in the exact same way, just a switching up of the color combos! For this one I used Blue Blitz Nuvo Shimmer Powder for the background. I have tried adding water first, then sprinkling the powder on, but I've found I like them best when I add the powder first, then mist with water. If you decide to try - see what you end up loving best! For both cards, once the panels dried, I die cut a rectangle out of it using Basic Rectangle dies. You could also trim the panels down with a paper trimmer, I just loved being able to select my favorite part of the background to die cut, as well as having those nice finished edges. For the sentiment on this one, I also stacked 3 of the white word layers, and then for this one used black cardstock for the shadow layer, and also popped it up with foam adhesive. A few more coordinating jewels finish this card off as well! GIVEAWAY INFO: Simon Says will be giving a $25 gift certificate to their online store at each stop along the hop - so make sure and leave a comment before you leave for a chance to win! So today im linking up with for the blog hunt which im so excited!! i wasn't sure what to create because i wanted to make something for all grades...i want to be able to reach a lot of the teachers out here so i got to thinking...what kind of issues do i have a lot during the school year....and it easily came to me... HOMEWORK! ...gosh..there's always kids and who complete half the homework and leave the rest blank...and then in my head im like how do i grade their half complete homework...so i came up with these easy and fabulous things this is perfect for grading their assignments....5 is excellent and it goes down to 1 which is incomplete and late...i think this is perfect for assessing the students on their homework ...you can refer to this when figuring out what to give them for the day...i usually givie homework mon-thur... so this year i plan to daily give them a grade for their homework the night before...at the end of the qtr i will add up their scores and then divide to get their final grade!! After i created this i thought what else do i need a rubric for ...and i came up with these as well thanks to Michelle from 3am Teacher for the fabulous borders arent these so useful...i think grading classwork is so important...it's such a huge part of their learning..there's so much more than assessments and spelling and math..it's about how they work and how much effort they put into their work...do they try their best or very little effort? this will help you grade them on their classwork...and even behavior!! have those kids who can't stay in their seat? this will help you assess them in that as well....for the behavior you don't have to give them a grade everyday because it can be a bit much.... i think giving them a score at the end of the week is perfect..you will definitely remember those kids who were chatty and those who were helpful and kind....you can grab these awesome freebies HERE at my TpT Store...please let me know what you think as i love to hear from all of you =) i told you i had a surprise for you all in honor of me being newly engaged!! Hello lovelies and welcome to the Heffy Doodle Friends Blog Hop. I am supper happy that I am a part of this hop so I made a video tutorial too with two cards including the coloring. As always you can find the supply list below. Now let see the cards what I created and also don't forget to comment on my blog, because there is a giveaway too! Yaaay! VIDEO TUTORIAL If you like the text version more here you go: First I am starting with the background. I am going to use the new Cloudy Skies Stencil from Heffy Doodle and I am going to show you a trick what I learned from Lesley, who is the owner of the heffy doodle. she is super sweet and oh so creative! I cut these small parts from the stencil, so I can put my card inside easily and make an ink blending on it. For the ink blending first I am using the Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink, then I continue with the Shaded Lilac color. Once the fluffy clouds are done, I need to close the sky with the top of the stencil, so I hold it in the place and starting the ink blending again. For the sky I wanted to make a little darker background so I used the Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide with the previous ones. I added clear and white splatters on it, removed the stencil and after a quick heat embossing the background is done. The next step was the stamping and coloring. I used the Absotoothly Awesome Stamp and dies to create the images and now I am going to make a quick coloring with my copic markers. My used copic colors are the following: After the coloring I created a super sweet die-cut with the Tooth Plush Die as well as Sparkle & Shine Heffy Cuts. I don't wanted to sew the cute teeth, so I run the largest part through my die-cut machine. I decided to make it from white glitter cardstock, it is really cute, shiny and sparkle. As a final touch I added cheeks to this cuteness with mini daubers and spun sugar distress oxide ink. I adhered the background to a white cardbase with Gina K. Designs Permanent Adhesive Dot Runner. I wanted to add dimension to the Fairies and the gold coins so I used White Foam Squares from Gina K designs. I love this adhesive so much, because it's super permanent. In the end I styled and put my card together. Hope you have enjoyed the tutorial, see you next time and good luck! Part of the fun of quilting is looking for new and interesting blocks. Sometimes, new blocks emerge when you combine blocks in different ways. Asymmetrical blocks can produce a multitude of intriguing secondary designs just by rotating their placement within the quilt. Find this and more in Quiltmaker July/August 2018!
Hi friend! I hope you’re having a great week! We’re finally in Galveston soaking up our last days of summer! I’m so thankful for this trip and time with my brothers and their families, plus our mom. It’s so fun (and loud!) all being in the same house together. Wouldn’t trade it! I mentioned earlier this week that I’ve been adding some new home decor to our home and I wanted to share the pieces I’ve added and how it’s coming along. Several of the items are still on their way, but here’s the progress so far. New Home Decor Entryway Our entry way is a blank slate and also very narrow,

The sentiment frame and mat was cut using my Cameo and the SVG files that come with all the Stamp Club Of The Month kits. I used the PKSC-9 September 2012 set for them and so is the flourish frame. I stamped the sentiment and added some white hot rocks to the card using my I-Rock. I hope you all will play along and please don't forget to check out what the rest of the DT has created for your inspiration. Have a great weekend!

Good morning cute people!! I'm so excited to announce a new sew along... YaY! I hope we will be sewing together again! I designed this Quilty Fun Sampler using all of the blocks in my new book Quilty Fun:) The Sew Along will be a part of the Quilty Fun Blog Tour celebrating the release of the book. It will start this Monday (Nov.4th) on Kerry's blog… She will be doing the apple blocks for the sampler quilt. Every Monday you will follow along with each blogger as they show off their blocks and put their quilts together! Every week there will be contests… prizes… and giveaways… YaY again! You will need your copy of the book because it will be your instruction manual… so be sure to keep it handy:) Next… you will need to get up close and personal with your scrappy stash... and get it organized in preparation to make the blocks. Click here and here if you'd like to see how I organize my scraps. You will use all different sizes of scrappy fabrics from strips and squares to make the blocks… such as 1 1/2"...2 1/2"...3 1/2"... *FYI - You will need 3 yards of background fabric for the quilt. (I used "snow white" from the Riley Blake Blenders collection) and 1/2 yard for Red inner border… as well as 1 1/4 yard for the outside border. So besides the background ... you will only need to purchase 1 3/4 yards of fabric if you are making the blocks from your stash. YaY!!! If you made some of these blocks before when you did the row along... you can play with them again:) And if you didn't join then... now is your chance! There are however… a few new blocks in the book. And I included them in the Quilty Fun Sampler:) Sew… are you ready for some more happy scrappy patchwork? In the Sampler Quilt I made the red pieced inner border... To echo my green outside border on the row along quilt... It's just shorter and not as wide:) There is a fun mix of a little bit of everything from the book… which is why it's called the Quilty Fun Sampler! This is the back of the quilt. Do you like it? I love pieced backs too:) I used 24 fat quarters... and of course I designed a new block for the label… a cute little "Bee in my Bonnet" block:) I'll be showing you how to make it when it comes my turn for the blog tour at the very end of the Sew Along. (as well as the borders and pieced back) Sew… what do you think? Are you in? Do you want to have some more Quilty Fun with me? I sure hope so! CLICK HERE to go over to the Jolly Jabber and to join up today! Don't forget to leave me some bloggy love and let me know if you are excited about the Quilty Fun Sew Along and if you have joined in! (*HINT - there just might be a little something like a giveaway from me for those who do!) Have a quilty kind of day… and sew it like you mean it! xx Lori P.S. There will also be a PDF to download each week as a companion to the book with sashing measurements for that weeks block. The PDF's will help to keep you organized during the Quilty Fun Sew Along! Also... the embroidery on the bumblebee block and the label will be provided in a PDF as well:)
