This Copper wire butterfly sculpture has been created by Griggsy 3D-“Artist . Absolutely loved creating this beautiful and unique Copper wire butterfly sculpture, Twisting & manipulating the copper wire to give the illusion of five butterflies chasing each other , having so much fun, in out & twisting n turning moving so fast . Mounted on a cherry tree plinth. 16 inches x 7 inches In my work, I create in a very intuitive and spontaneous way. Working in various gauges of wire Creating pieces which are 3 dimensional enables me to be more ‘hands on’ and I find myself completely and utterly absorbed in the process. This is beautiful and unique a decorative interior sculpture is to be admired by many, being viewed from any angle it looks amazing. Thank you for supporting a small artisan business

Have you ever dabbled with wire art? It dates back to 3000 BC and it's such an amazing medium to work with. Easy to shape and you can twist, wrap, braid, coil, weave and even crochet with it. Here are 7 quick tips to on how to turn wire into art.
They say the artist’s eye sees what others cannot see and this is really proven by the many examples of art that are dotted around the world. It is indeed astonishing to see bits of material like clay, metal, stone, and wood show themselves in a different avatar to the artist’s eyes than when we (by that we mean non-artists) see them. You can see what we mean by this when you look at the extraordinary line and wire sculptures that so charmingly dot this article. Where most people see bits of wire and line, the artist has seen art that almost seems to come alive. There is a sense of energy and movement in these bits of metal that almost make you wait with bated breath to see the work of art come to life and take off or do something that assures that it is alive. There is much to be admired about sculptures whether it is basic wire sculptures or astonishingly life-like figurative sculptures and this can literally leave you gasping for breath at the skill, imagination and talent that has gone into the making of such art.
I bet you've noticed that almost every city has its own creative sculptures or statues, usually tucked along streets or city squares. Some of them are pretty ordinary, but others... Other famous sculptures can be extremely eye-catching and conversation-provoking.
From her studio in Canberra, Australian artist Sally Blake (previously) twists and plaits copper wire into baskets and sculptures evocative of the organic matter ubiquitous around the planet. Seed pods, sprawling networks of bulbous pockets and thin, sinuous veins, and mammalian bronchial systems emerge from the malleable material, and through intricately woven motifs, Blake accentuates the tension between delicacy and resilience inherent to natural life. “Visualisation of the natural laws and patterning that hold people in relationship with Earth, as well as the consequences of these unravelling, is my focus,” she tells Colossal. Inspired by nature, I recreated dandelions out of wire. They look very decorative against a light background. The flowers are available in three sizes (1, 2, 3). Sizes 2 and 3 are shown in the pictures. Sizes 1 and 2 also fit well together. You can order them as Set-12 (sizes 1 and 2) or as Set-23 (sizes 2 and 3). You can also get the dandelions in a longer version. Depending on the packaging, I may have to bend the branch once with the longer version. You can bend the branch back into the desired shape yourself. You can also bend the branch to the right length for each vase or shorten it. The objects are made from untreated floral wire and are intended for installation in dry rooms and also outside. If placed outside, the wire will corrode. This creates a particularly beautiful look. Standard version: Approx. dimensions (length/ball diameter): Gr. 1: 48cm/10cm Gr. 2: 53cm/13cm Gr. 3: 62cm/16cm Longer version: Approx. dimensions (length/ball diameter): Gr. 1: 80cm/10cm Gr. 2: 90cm/13cm Gr. 3: 100cm/16cm You can find information about packaging in the shop profile.
