Realism is one of the hardest things to master in painting. It may seem easier than creating something fantastical or out of this world, but if you make just one mistake in realistic painting, everything will seem off.
Bradley Hart, 47, a Toronto native artist based in New York, spends days loading the syringes with paint and then injects each cell of the bubble wrap, creating amazing photorealistic images.
“I use plastic to represent the mental bondage or whatever has held them captive. The water represents the refreshing taste of freedom and the calmness freedom brings.”

Ernst Kirchner - Female Artist (1910) Canvas Gallery Wrapped Giclee Wall Art Print (D6045) Types: ➤Archival Paper Print (rolled) ➤Canvas Print, Gallery wrapped (mirrored edges) on 2cm depth pine wooden frame (stretched), rolled in a tube, or framed (wood floater frame). Options: ➤Archival Paper Print (rolled) ➤Rolled Canvas Print ➤Stretched and Ready to Hang 1 Panel Canvas Print ➤Stretched and Ready to Hang 3 Panel Canvas Print ➤Canvas in Black, Brown or White Wood Floating Frame (2'' | 5cm thick) ★★★WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A ROLLED CANVAS PRINT AND AN ARCHIVAL PAPER PRINT? ★★★ Whereas our canvas prints come with that typical characteristic texture own to canvas, our archival paper prints come on cotton rag paper without texture. A rolled canvas print is normally stretched on wood stretcher bars, whereas archival paper prints are not. Additionally, a stretched canvas can be framed, but it doesn't need to be. Thus, our rolled canvas prints come in their advertized size + mirrored edges by default for easy stretching. Prefer a cut to size rolled canvas print instead, because you want to frame it in a traditional fine art frame behind glass? Then just type ''cut to size'' in our personalization box (listing top right ''add your personalization''). Note that our rolled canvas prints do not come with stretcher bars or frames. Either take it to your local framer, or stretch/frame it yourself. Other sizes than listed in our drop-down menu available upon request! Have something in mind that you don't see in our shop? Anything at all? We've got your back! Here you can order anything you'd like: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1528183805 Our high quality images are environmentally friendly printed on museum grade canvas, with high quality inks that will last for over 200 years. With news of the artist’s passing on May 31, Galerie celebrates his greatest works and the fascinating stories behind them.
The gallery section of Playing With Paper features 18 artists who work in paper. Following are short profiles and images of four artists who manipulate paper in their own unusual ways. Valerie Buess lives in Germany and is inspired by the uselessness of waste paper: newspaper, phone directories, magazines, train schedules, etc. She rolls pieces of paper into various forms and makes incredible sculptures by assembling hundreds (if not thousands) of them. Vincent Floderer (aka the crimper) lives in France where he performs research with his crimp team based on paper crumpling techniques that are inspired by the observation of nature’s folds, creases and associated dynamic processes. Jocelyn Chateauvert lives in South Carolina where she makes her own paper and scrunches it: after pressing the wet sheets, […]
Patterning in threads that blur. Indigo-and-white, naturally-dyed cloth with hand-woven designs. Cotton fabric so soft from years of wear that parts are threadbare. This kasuri yukata I wear has a story and I long to read it.

Korean artist Seung Mo Park (previously) continues to amaze with his astonishingly crafted figurative sculptures made with tightly wrapped layers of aluminum wire based on fiberglass forms. The works shown here are part of the Brooklyn-based artist’s Human series where he recreates the delicate wrinkles and folds of clothing as well as the sinuous musculature of the human body in metallic layers reminiscent of tree rings. He’s also sculpted bicycles, musical instruments and other forms as part of his Object series. More

+2 in comments. Part of my "Scanography" series. An ongoing series of images made using a scanner. Shot yesterday. I gave my exhibition submissions in today and the people there seemed quite positive when they first saw them. Hopefully the judges will agree! In other news, I've recently been published in an issue of Amateur Photographer Magazine. No idea what issue nor what for nor what image but I was sent an appraisal and a gift card so yay me. I checked the most recent issue and it doesnt seem to be that one. Anyone who's subscribed to AP, can you please check the issue before the latest for me to see if any of my images are in it? Would be VERY much appreciated! Or anyone who's been published in there before, do you know how long it takes for them to send prizes? (so I have a rough idea of which issue I was in or will be in) I reached 450,000 views a few days ago so major thanks to everyone who's gotten me there! Next step, 500,000!!

Underneath each of artist Ulla Stina Wikander‘s needlepoint objects is a real, once-functioning appliance, accessory, or tool. Wikander (previously) tends to select objects with traditional associations to domestic life, like sewing machines, ironing boards, and hair dryers. The artist, who is based in Sweden, combines the retired objects with historical cross-stitch patterns, which she also collects. Each piece is finished with colorful rick-rack detailing to help define the edges and describe the original shape. More
