"I'm not an art witch, I can't draw." "How do I work in my grimoire if I'm not an artist?" Moon Baby, I'm so glad you asked. In our recent Grimoire Club Q&A there were tons of questions about how to work in your grimoire if you're not an artist. Don't worry. I've got you, Moon Baby. Firstly, let's investigate the word artist, yes? The etymology of the word artist reveals the cultivation of a skill in an art or craft: poetry, history, astrology, comedy, dance, theater or visual arts. (I think we

Just as an artist uses intent, deep focus, and ritual to create a work of art, a witch uses intent, deep focus, and ritual to work a spell. It is my intent to encourage witches to try artistic expression as a new way to effectively work their spells. I call it “artcraft.”

Have you ever wondered why certain witch symbols have so much power? Are you curious about which spells are associated with them and the effects they can have
Protective magick is probably the most basic of all types of spellwork. If you don't feel safe and secure, it's difficult to enjoy any of the pleasures of life. Since the beginning of time, humans have been creating protective signs and symbols to ward off evil and bad luck. Would you like to learn some protective glyphs to use in your spells and amulets? Today, we'll be taking a look at nine powerful protective symbols from the Western magickal tradition. These symbols come from diverse spiritual paths including Wiccan, Norse, Judaeo-Christian, Egyptian, and others. Just as no two words have exactly the same meaning, each magickal symbol has a slightly different energy and function. Read on to find the perfect symbol for your protective workings. Pentacle (or Pentagram) The pentacle, or five-pointed star, is probably best-known as a symbol of the Wiccan religion. This symbol has been passed down to modern Witches through the tradition of ceremonial magick. Wiccans and Pagans wear it as symbol of faith, but it is also used as a protective glyph. The pentacle's protective legacy probably began in medieval times. The five points were said to represent the five wounds of Christ. Early occultists saw the pentacle as a microcosm, or representation of the human being. The pentacle's affinity with the body makes it immensely useful to the human magician. Leonardo da Vinci's
The Book of Shadows is a workbook with summons, ritual models, spells, runes, rules governing magic, etc. Some books are legacies from one Wiccan to another during initiation, but today, each Wiccan makes its own book. It's also a tool for advancement on this path. How is that possible? Well it is recommended that apart from spells and rituals, put experiences, doubts, concepts, goals and more... and reviewing it periodically you will realize how much you have progressed along the way, you can also realize your weaknesses and work on them from @LOSILLEWITCH on Instagram here are misconceptions about this name: The most common is that many Wiccans think that name is due to the time when witches were persecuted and so they had to keep their knowledge ′′ in the shadows. Another misguided beliefs surrounding the name Book of Shadows is that people who are unfamiliar with Wicca blow their imagination away and that within their twisted thoughts a Book Of Shadows is a book with satanic invocations, demonic rituals and everything that has to do with ′′ satan ", obviously this is totally false, wiccans do not believe in the antithesis of the Christian God (that is satan), therefore it is illogical to ensure that Wiccans worship this being if we don't even believe in their existence. The term ′′ Book Of Shadows ′′ was invented by Gardner and the name pulled it out of a Sanskrit document that spoke of divination through shadows, although they have nothing to do with each other, al looking Gardner liked the name and adapted it. There are many Wiccans who prefer the term GRIMORIO that has been used by many magicians throughout history to refer to their magical books, this custom continues with ceremonial wizards and witches of today. HOW TO MAKE A BOOK OF SHADOWS? Apparently, thanks to modernity, and the ease that people have to save information on their hard drive and cd's, they have lost the tradition of making the book of shadows by hand, this may be more comfy, but personally, I've always preferred to do my handwriting. Physically many think it's necessary to buy a large leather-lined book with a metal pentagram on the cover, but it's not really necessary, while they're very nice, they're not indispensable, now that if you can buy a perfect one!. Your book of shadows is of great importance, it's a learning tool and an information compiler, which is why I recommend you put some of your personality into it, you can take any notebook and decorate it, you can even make a leaf notebook Recycled by yourselves, which would make you not only save trees but print your energy, and above all I recommend you write your BoS by hand. I realized that there are many people who all they do is print pages that they find online and make their book of pure impressions, this is a display of laziness and a little tremendous creativity; not counting that you learn absolutely nothing, When you write on your BoS, you become familiar with rituals, and you can even adapt and change rituals and it's something that a printed sheet can't be achieved with. If you choose to do it yourself these are some recommendations: 1.- Choose size, get some materials you might need to decorate, set, and organize. 2.- Fabricate the leaves: It's very simple just look for leaves you can recycle; cut them into pieces and soak them, when they are very well soaked put them in the blender to form a thick ball, add some glycerin or sap so that when you do the leaves, the liquid will absorb faster. once you finish this, just cut two pieces of fabric into the form of the leaf, and put an amount of the pasta into one of them, and the other use it to cover it, press in such a way that it stays smooth, removes excess water and ready, put it dry. 3.- Decorate the cover: with paintings, colors, etc. It's also a good option to queue the leaves and marginalize them for a unique style. Choose dark colors as these absorb a lot of energy that is necessary for your book. Always remember that you decide on your own content and articles, just pay close attention when you get it. Within your capacity is your CREATIVITY. WHAT TO WRITE To begin with, make sure that the physical book is how you want it and doesn't cause any negative feelings. In it you will deposit all your energy to carry out the compilation of the most important information you should know about Wicca magic and your study and then your practice in life Wicca. Once you're sure of it, then you should know how a Book of Shadows is formed. It should contain four important and fundamental parts: 1.- BASIC INFORMATION: About Religion, and Wicca history as well as its forms and applications. 2.- WICCA PRINCIPES: Indispensable information for Wicca life, laws governing and applying justice. Everything you need to know before you practice. 3.- YOUR LEARNING: This part includes everything you learn throughout your study and dedication whether within a Coven or Solitaire. 4.- PRACTICE: Once you finish your part as ′′ Apprentice ′′ you can start PRACTICE, this section is to contain your practices, jobs, spells, and own performances, it will help you to improve yourself every day. USED ALPHABETS IN A BOOK OF SHADOWS Many Wiccans don't want their spells and experiences to be read by anyone who can read their Book of Shadows, so over the years, various alphabets have been used to ′′ hide ′′ the content. This is not exclusive to Wiccans, so have ceremonial magicians, and precisely some alphabets I show you below are alphabet used by ceremonial magicians. You don't need to write your book of shadows with some different alphabet, it's a matter of personal choice. If you want me to cast a spell for you, you can place an order HERE. As long as humanity has had beliefs in a higher power, the use of magic, spells, curses, and incantations have featured widely across cultures. A number of influential texts or ‘grimoires’ (textbooks of magic) were developed over the centuries, many of which became the books of choice for secret societies and occult organizations that endured well into the twentieth century.

There is so much discussion about the ‘shadow element’ of each zodiac sign or each natal chart. Let me be clear before we start analyzing further. As there are no documented accounts of any ‘shadow’ element from the ancient philosophers and magi, ‘shadow elements’ most usually are terms created by Covens or Orders. Therefore, these […]
