The final of the Men's 100 metres during the 1952 Olympic Games held at Helsinki, Finland. The closest final in the history of the event, the photo finish revealed American Lindy Remigino (third from right) as the Gold Medallist in 10.79 seconds. The race was so tight, that John Treloar of Australia (far left) finished just 12 hundredths of a second behind the gold medallist, but only came sixth.
