About The Artwork This painting is part of a series about The Transformation of the Vulnerability of Our Emotions, the poet Mary Oliver wrote: Someone I loved give me a Box full of Darkness. it took me years to understand that this too is a gift. In painting there is the possibility of feelings that keep recurring in our minds, for which we seem to have no solution, to descend into emotional depths that we have never known before and to transform these feelings into something beautiful.
