My favorite thing to do has been turning simple fonts into watercolor lettering in Procreate. It’s way easier than you think. Here are some tips: • Rasterize your text so you can resize and move the letters. I like to have them so they touch each other so I can add color blends. I also like to stagger them. • You can use a Gaussian Blur to blend the colors or you can use the Smudge Tool. By using the Smudge Tool you have more control on how the colors will blend. I used my Watercolor Blender brush but you can also use any textures brush or even the airbrush. Just make sure you select it from the Smudge Tool menu. • What really gives the watercolor effect is adding a dark edge and highlights down the middle of your letters.
