Hi everyone. Today's card is for a couple of challenges ... first, this is to honor Kittie Caracciolo this week as one of the Queen's for the Day (QFTD175). I love Kittie's beautiful scenes that she creates on her cards. Such attention to detail ... and she makes THE most amazing flowers. No flowers on this card today as I wanted to create a scene with some Christmas bling. I didn't CASE a particular card of Kittie's ... but tried to capture the essence of her designs. This card also qualifies for two Dare To Get Dirty Challenges (DTGD13summerthyme64 - bling; and DTGD13frenziedstamper - create a scene with dies). When I went back to confirm I had the right keyword for the DTGD challenges, I saw that SummerThyme64 asked for a simple card with bling ... hmmmmm ... maybe not so simple but hope it's ok to enter. :) I made a card similar to this a few weeks ago with a red door. This time I switched up the colors, changed the background to brick embossing for the siding of the "house" ... and added a swag for the door and two pots filled with cedar boughs, branches and red, glittery ornaments. Hope you like. Edited to Add: Just saw the challenge at Jingle Bells (Home for the Holidays) and wanted to enter this card. Here's a close-up: Stamps: Merry & Bright Sentiments (Amy R) Paper: White (C.C. Designs); Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Gumball Green, Soft Suede (SU!) Ink: Real Red (SU!) Accessories & Tools: Big Shot, Classic Screen Door and Grand Flower Box Dies (Poppy Stamps), Grove Branch die (Memory Box), Pine Branches die (Cheery Lynn), tiny red glitter balls ($1 store), sponges, Brick embossing folder (Tim Holtz - Sizzix), glue, adhesives, and dimensionals
