One of my best estate sale finds EVER is this curved 70's disco sofa (with matching curved table in back) that I got about 10 years ago for quite a palty sum. It's funky, comfy, and easily fits 15 people. When I bought the sofa out of a vintage 70's house (complete with purple high pile shag rug and Peter Max wallpaper), I thought that I would tone it down a bit and recover it, but when I got it home, I realized that it looked great as is in my living room, and there it has stayed. The tag on the bottom of the sofa says that it was custom made by Cunningham Interiors (which is still in business in OKC today) in 1972 for a whopping $4,000. The sofa originally had two extra pieces to it, which made it way too large for my living room, so I gave them to a friend, and they happily reside in Washington D.C. today. I once entered this beauty in a nationwide Ugliest Sofa contest, and can you believe that it didn't even receive an honorable mention? I was shocked ... until I saw the abomination that did win!
