Mauro II (Ode to Michelangelo) This original pencil drawing of a standing male (Italian!) nude, Mauro 2 (Ode to Michelangelo), is a classic pose and peacefully masculine. It would look great alone or with other drawings on your wall. I drew from life in a room full of artists, hiring the live model, Mauro. He is standing so that we can see his backside. His pose is reminiscent of Michelangelo's marble David, including a slightly too large right hand. [At least that was in my head as I drew.] The original pencil drawing is framed in a black frame with parallel ridges along the length, adding a subtle texture. There are TWO mats: a wide white one over a thin black inner liner mat. The glass is Tru Vue, a low reflection brand glass, certified on the back of the frame (see photos). This would make an elegant addition to your home space and art collection. Pair it with Mauro 1 if you like: https://borsheimartsstudio.etsy.com/listing/778171952/nude-male-figure-drawing-print-standing If you prefer the digital file of this male nude drawing to print for yourself, go here: https://borsheimarts.com/products/digital-download-mauro-ii-drawing-nude-male-model-ode-to-michelangelo For framing (in case you need/want to re-frame): Paper prints and original artworks should be either press-mounted to an acid-free support, such as foam core, or hung on the base support ONLY by the top. If the paper falls freely, it may adjust better to changing humidity conditions. [I prefer the latter method.] A mat give a classical look. I recommend that the mat be slightly less space at the top. Often if the mat is the same width top and bottom, the art tends to look low. Then a simple black or dark brown frame (depending on color of drawing) will finish the look. And thank you so much!
