Hello Dear Stamper Friends: First of all A BIG THANK YOU for the lovely comments that you leave me in all my posts..It is so nice to read them...I wish to list all your names here, but it will get a little bit boring...But I want YOU to know that I read all your comments and all your opinions really mean the world to me... It is amazing to know that through this medium I am getting new friends from Canada, France, Mexico...US and who knows all the people that visit and do not leave a comment... I am so happy to know that some people out there find my cards, my blog pretty and that you are getting some ideas leaving my blog...or like Armie said that she always has a smile on her face, when she leaves from here...Oh my god, HOW SWEET ...this is a big incentive for me to keep going and sharing this lovely hobby with all of you out there...SO THANKS again for the support and the encouragement...and remember even If I do not answer directly mentioning your name, I am grateful for YOU and your words... OK, Now onto the card... Today I am bringing to you a very unique Shaped card, called the Bendi Fold! If you liked my card, Click on "Pin It" button: Around here all the Japanese cherry trees are in bloom...It is so Beautiful...and it sure looks like SPRING !... This is what is see down my street ... These amazing trees were my inspiration ...and the flower soft was perfect to use here...as well as the wonderful Memory Box dies ... When you open the card it looks like this: I try to give subtle asymmetrical views: the fences are bend, one sticks out, the other is more hidden, the grasses are slightly different/short on each side, the center has only mounds of "Flower Soft" grass, the trees are on only 2 panels... here are the left and the right swinging panels: The pocket is die cut in vellum paper, I wanted to be able to see the background and the tags are left blank to write your message. The tiny MB stamp called "fence", because it is a fence and it has the clouds on the side, is perfect in size for this type of "landscape" cards...it is soo cute! NOTE: I used the "Soft Suede" ink pad from Stampin'Up!, to distress here my panels because this is my FAVORITE color when distressing on cream paper, It gives an old nice look,...I usually use and I love Tim Holtz distress inks and "the Tea Dye" one is the one that is the most close to "Suede Suede", BUT, I rather pick "Soft Suede" over the "Tea Dye" just for the tone that it gives... Photo/instructions for the BENDI Fold...follow the pictures... 1- use same measurements as for an A2 card: 2 panels of 5/1/2 x 4 1/4 2-cut second panel at 2 1/2 3- score 1/2 " on each end of the swinging panels to glue onto back panel 4- hand free cut 2 notches on the opposite sides at 1/4" 5- pencil mark where you will make slits for the notches to be inserted, One pencil mark on the base back panel 4" from the edge, and the second pencil mark on the left swinging panel at 2 1/2 from the edge, cut wih X-Acto knife 6- TEMPORARILY glue your panels to see how it works and if slits are cut right, then draw you hill, cut them and then start working on your decorations...the last thing to do is to glue the swinging panels to the back center panel... When done with the main structure start working on your other pieces, I painted my fences with the Shimmer paint, just by sponging them a little bit... Glue 2 trees together for more stability and then add the Flower Soft... tap and let dry then pour it on a bigger container...this is how I store my Flower Soft ... die cut your other pieces and start assembling... A final look...
