Come escape your routine for a day of fun, learning to paint silk with award winning silk artist Ann Taecker. You'll learn the Gutta Serti or resist method of silk painting. The finished piece resembles a piece of Tiffany Glass where each area of color is outlined. Bring a sketch or if you need a little help, some designs to work from will be available. All tools and materials are supplied, come wearing you get messy clothes and leave with a finished silk painting. The finished silks are suitable for framing, wearing, using in a quilt, adorning a tee shirt, jacket or tote, making into pillows, wall hangings or adorning your table. Sizes we'll work with are: 22" square, 8 x54 oblong or for quilters or those interested in practicing different techniques, you'll have 3 or 4 11" squares to work with.
