The provisional IRA detonated a 1 tonne fertilizer bomb (concealed in a large white truck) in Britian's financial center. The blast destroyed the Baltic Exchange building (located at 30 St Mary Axe) and severely damaged the surrounding area - 3 people were killed in the blast, 91 others injured.
