Good Monday Morning, peeps! No Makeover Monday Madness today as I have an announcement to make...I am honored to be a Crazy Cousin this month at Double Trouble Paper Crafting! My followers know how crazy I am about Double Trouble! We have a great challenge for you, and it wasn't any trouble to create my card! Here's a sneak peak at what trouble I got into... Need more than the fine print? Here ya go... Thing 1: Trouble Maker says, "Use anything from your stash to create a scene. This scene can be anywhere around the world. Have fun, use your imagination, then see how creative you can be with paper, ink, stamps and/or techniques. And don't forget those scenery photos from a vacation or outing... it's okay to create scrapbook pages." You can stop here... OR, you can choose to use Twisted Sister's Optional Twist below. Thing 3: Twisted Sister says, "What? Trouble Maker is always claiming that I am the one who makes a scene. Now she is doing it! Okay, Trouble Maker, you can have your scene but my optional twist is that the scene includes a mode of transportation. It can be anything from roller skates to aircraft but it has to be included for an extra chance at our random draw." Thing 2: Double Dare says, "If you have created a scene and have met the requirement "Around the World" (family memories or travel)... then link your project HERE at The Paper Girls Challenge #207 and receive an additional chance at the Double Trouble Random Draw." What can be better than a scene by the lake? Hop into my rowboat and head on over to Double Trouble Challenge #66 for some fun. I'm providing the transportation for you...the oars are somewhere around here... My card is for my brother. I spent many summers and some winters visiting him at his home in the Finger Lakes (NYS) and he had an old boat similar to this and hills across the lake. It became too much for him to put the docks out and bring them in for the winter so he sold his home last month. I will miss it as much as he does. I die cut the dock, boat, grass and frog using the Dockside Dies. I colored them with my Stampin' Blends. I sponged the water and stamped some darker pools and the hills in the distance. For those, I used stamps from the Waterfront set. The ripples are from By the Dock, as is the sentiment. I stamped that in Early Espresso on Whisper White and adhered it to a Chocolate Chip (retired) mat. Those are cut with the Ornate Frames Dies. Oh, here are the oars...now row, row, row your boat..I love ear worms, too, and I'm sure I've gotten myself into trouble with that one! The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays. I hope you'll join our challenge! I'll be checking to see what you make! Oh, and would you like to see what September's Crazy Cousin looks like? Yeppers, c'est moi! Thank you, Suzanne...I love your design of me! I'd like to enter my card in these challenges: Artsystamper Digitals #23 ATG Crafting Happiness Challenge #65 Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2036 Stamping Sensations - September Challenge Theme The Great Outdoors Thank you for stopping by today.
