Are you struggling with the cycle assessments for EL Skills Block? Try these quick cycle assessments instead that will take a fraction of the time! Included is a decoding, spelling, and phonological awareness quick assessment, along with teacher trackers to record student's progress all on one sheet. There is very little printing needed for these cycle assessments to help make your life easier. Students fill in the first or last sound in each word for the spelling assessment. Teacher copy of the assessments (these cycle assessments are different than the cycle assessments provided by EL) The spelling and phonological awareness cycle assessments need to be administered verbally. This sheet includes information for all the assessments. Assessment word blocker An assessment word blocker is included to help block out the other assessment while students read each cycle word lists. What makes this product unique? These cycle assessments are quick, consistent, and painless. The assessments are NOT extensive but only to provide a quick check so it doesn't eat up too much time. Just type in your class list ONCE! The words will auto-populate to each of the grade-level assessment trackers. Note that this follows the phonics progression as followed in the EL Skills Block curriculum.
